Like everyone else, I'm actually really baffled by this week's episodes. Like, what happened? How do you build up a good and communicative couple and then throw it away like that?
I love this comment! You were the one worried about the romance tag. I'm glad you're put at ease, because the…
Yes! I really had no reason to be worried 😅 I'm very happy that it's been done tastefully, and that the romance has not been spun into the main topic of Yeongwoo's story but is just a natural part of it.
Your question seems to imply romance makes this not wholesome, lol?
Literally what? You completely misunderstood me I’m on the spectrum myself lmfao?? My point was that I’m afraid that they’ll erase Yeongwoo as a person and try to highlight Joonho as some kind of hero for loving an autistic person. My point was, that I don’t want her peak happiness to be about Joonho accepting her for being different. I want this story to be HERS. If it’s about the two of them naturally getting closer and all that then that’s all good and I’m rooting for their love, but I don’t want the focus to be on Joonho being brave or whatever. I’ve seen this kind of romance dynamic for autistic people before, and I’m afraid of that.

No? Sometimes adding romance into a story is just unnecessary, that’s all. Yeongwoo herself said that it’s not likely that she will get married because she has autism, and if this story ends on just the note of “look, person with autism CAN find love”, when there is so much more to her story, then I will be very disappointed.
I just wanted to know what to prepare myself for lol
I’ve only just finished ep 2, but I’d like to ask, because there is a romance tag, if there will be romance between the leads or if this is just a wholesome story about Yeongwoo?
This drama is very heavy and honestly needs a lot of trigger warnings, but it's so SO good! If you feel like you can stomach the topic of suicide, abuse, and SA, it's worth giving it a try.
Prepare yourself a box of tissues while you watch it, especially the last third of it. In the beginning, they definitely have more humour sprinkled in here and there to make it more lighthearted, but it does get quite dark.
The episodes felt crazy long but I still binged this in 3 days lol Honestly, Wi Hajoon is the real star of this series and his character provided the perfect amount of comedy relief
I’m gonna be a Negative Nancy here and just say that the last two episodes were rushed and honestly kinda ruined the whole drama for me. I expected this and I’m still disappointed smh

*edit: read your second comment and it gives me hope :)
