I got this random shower thought... What if the funeral scene was actually for Tak's brother? Like the truth comes to light and then they highlight the fact that he died on a job, which is why he couldn't graduate, so they're paying respects to him as an honourable student?
Was so looking forward after the ending of episode 10, think it went dark and exciting...Then episode 11 is such…
I agree to an extent. Right from the beginning I thought it might be better off as just a lighthearted drama about university students without the added mystery and linking of ALL the characters. I’ll still finish it, but to be honest I have little faith in them wrapping up this story well in just four episodes…
Well yeah, the story isn't special and it's predictable but I liked all the couples and characters, and if you go into it expecting a lighthearted feel-good movie, then I don't think you would be disappointed. Watching this on a lazy Saturday afternoon, I liked it, but I can also understand if it seems slow and boring to some.
how can you be bored watching this? you must be pretty dull
I don’t understand the connection between me not finding this interesting and ME not being interesting?
I thought that too much time was spent on emotions. I came into this show expecting the focus to be on the games. The main character is a weak loser who would’ve died multiple times without other people’s random kindness. The foreign VIPs were also very bad actors and made the last episodes super difficult to sit through.
I enjoyed Alice in Borderland, for example, as that was more suspenseful and interesting.
I was worried this movie would get a little boring, but honestly, it was really suspenseful and went by super quick. The plot was really frustrating at times, but I think that's one thing that made this movie good. You are made to feel just a fraction of the emotions that the main character probably felt.
I don't think that the masses were really painted as stupid because that's exactly how I expect people to act in real life.
Okay so far I love it (1st half only) but there's two things that bother me a lot and seems doesn't make sense.…
there is literally a disclaimer in the beginning of every episode stating that this is an imaginary dystopian Korea, you cannot try and find logic between the drama and the real world here lol
I was really looking forward to this movie but was disappointed in the end. I thought this would be a refreshing movie but found myself bored most of the time. This just isn’t the type of movie for me. The story is filled with tragedy and taboo topics but I didn’t find myself sympathising with any of the characters, found them rather unlikeable actually.
Usually when a drama has 20 episodes I am quite skeptical because it starts dragging a lot, but with this one I feel like all the episodes were important and suspenseful. At times it was quite confusing and hard to keep track because of how many characters and stories were intertwined but I am really pleased with how they tied it all up in the end.
There r dramas with no love triangle. My favorite is run on. Its a slice of life drama about 2 couples. No love…
Oh yeah of course there are lots of dramas without a love triangle! I actually meant to emphasise how the love triangle was with other characters instead, because in my experience if there is no love triangle between the main leads then the focus of the drama is something else and there are no love triangles at all. I can't recall any other drama where the second female is the one guys fight for.
All negative things aside, I really want to highlight the fact that this drama does not have two men fighting over the main female lead which was VERY refreshing for me. I think that the fight for Jina instead was a nice plotline and a saviour for this drama.
my same exact thoughts ! i also thought it would have been better if Horang and Won Seok went their separate ways…
Yes! I was honestly very disappointed in the writers that they made the two get together again in the end. They had such a dysfunctional relationship...
I feel like I've never been so conflicted as to what to rate a drama. It was enjoyable but there were some things that really annoyed me. The themes overall and conversations that the characters had were very mature and I liked that the characters actually communicated. Well, up until the last two-three episodes...
Unfortunately I hated Horang's character from start to finish so it was a big minus for me throughout the drama. She was always so immature and manipulative towards Wonseok and saying how she had been "training" him for seven years... Sooji on the other hand was such a cool and chic character though, I wish more dramas had women like that in them.
Also, it was infuriating how slowly Jung Somin spoke throughout the drama. I'm convinced that if she spoke at a normal speed and without pausing all the time then the drama would be several episodes shorter lol. I'm surprised I even managed to finish a drama with her as a lead as all her dramas are usually a hard no for me.
