why are kdramas so much higher rated than cdramas? this in particular was a cool drama with cool characters but in no way “good”. many good parts sure, but many more flawed and broken. (again i enjoy this and didn’t mind the flaws much personally but i noticed them) so how can this be over 8,5? can someone who watched both K & C dramas help me understand? so many kdramas over 9 and a drought of any cdramas over 9.

i mean its the same constraints on all chinese actors yet many manage to shine still. i think this type of thinking is just making excuses. its possible victoria song has it in her somewhere to give a shining performance, if all conditions were optimal, but thats not the world we life in or something she will ever get. nor will anyone. so it does in fact call into question her abilities.

im having a bit of a difficult time with how Jae Won is treating Ji Hyeon at first after the kiss. but i like the atmosphere so mych im hoping he wont be jerk forever and im hoping Ji Hyeon will stand up to him about his behavior.

really dont like the way the segment with ML’s mother’s sister Liu Niang was concluded. did not feel earned. that woman’s actions were to easily swept away and then they have tea like she didnt utterly hate him????

like he is genuinely what you want from someone who loves the FL but truly respects her. he confesses relatively early on, she kindly rejects him and from then on he is just minding his own business and never plotting against love or wishes her in any way. in fact he doesnt break any boundaries even when the main couple are in conflict. he is just truly someone who loves her and wants her to be happy. not like situ ling who claims its love but its selfish self serving entitled obsession.

hey fans, im behind on this drama, only at ep 14, but will definitely finish. HOWEVER I HAVE A QUESTION: is there more backstory/mysteries to the female lead? of is her history done as of ep 14?

(im not trying to jump to conclusions but it definitely seems so with the assistance provided by the ML to her mother/leader figure)

ok past the halfway point and yeah this is a gem. if it sticks the landing i see it being a fave.
