ok so ive read through comments here and im REALLY skeptical this is gonna be for me. it seems that the female lead can come across as unlikable/irksome for some and some of you are discussing the chemistry as being very subtle which seems like it could never materialize. i think ill wait and see what the ratings/reviews are after its all done.

about to start this but i need someone to reassure me that the chemistry is there. because the female lead and male lead seem mismatched at first glance (from clips on social media).

this is EXACTLY my take! ml was the one that took me out of it a couple of times. but minor i still love it so much and second couple is a highlight

im only 10eps in but its split in 2 timelines, college years and present day. it starts in present day and then soon switches to the beginning of their story. the beginning is more light but overall id still say this is a angsty show. present day scenes seem almost bleak.

incredible, genuinely the main thing that kept me hooked at the start (since i was approaching cdrama burnout)

7 eps in and this is tedious. i think this type of storytelling isnt my thing. i rarely enjoy modern romances and one exception was The First Frost. i thought because its highly rated id enjoy this too. i might if i stick with it but i dont have the stamina to get over the current tediousness

Situ Ling is proof that being attractive cant protect much from coming across as the creep he is. Proud of us who clocked his red flags! The actor did a good job 👏🏻

this is one of the best and we’ll executed plots in all of xianxia. its actually criminally underrated, it should be punishing a 9/10 average.

better and more complex than many beloved series like “love between fairy and devil” (love it but it’s simplistic) and “eternal love” and many others.

I love this drama! BUT, its a shame the lead couple is only “good enough” at acting. imagine what it could’ve been if they were better.

so far this is the best secondary male lead ever. once he realizes the female lead isnt into him like that he minds his own business while always being there to help and wishing well.

im so invested. this is a great character driven historical family story with a romance at its core. if you like “love like the galaxy” i imagine this will also be your thing
