Why not? Im Siwan was able to pull off the character of a high school student in his 30s.
My comment is more for the casting director & actors accepting the roles too. You can see it as actors taking roles which is less that their actual age as a challenge - but I feel they have done it already, so personally I'd like to see them more in dramas where they play characters closer to their actual age.
ISW and SKJ are both close to my age - I loved them when they played younger characters as I was that age too when it aired. I guess maybe I want to see them play characters of their own age so that it relates to audience in that genre as well.
For younger age groups - am sure many other talented actors are there and come up and they will fit perfectly and be more relatable. This way everyone also gets change and we have more talented pool of artists to fangirl about :)
PS: Im Siwan's Boyhood where he is playing a High school kid, is one of my top rated dramas and I love that man to bits - for his talent & looks ;) Seo Kang Joon is on same lines for me and I know he would do an amazing job as High School kid.
As someone who highly anticipated this drama, the first 2 eps were disappointing. My advice: Wait for it to finish, or at least complete till 50% then start basis the ratings/reviews then.
Plot-wise as on paper it is very exciting - there is family drama, business politics, bromance/friendship that can be tested, maybe romance. In the end if you like a show - where there are lots of twists and turns because the main leads are trying to one up the other - this is for you. But execution-wise am doubtful basis my own experience of 2 episodes and comments here.
Hence, watch it later as time spent on dramas is also precious :P In the meantime - a close suggestion would be Reborn Rich (if you have not seen it already)

This released in 2021 becoming a posthumous work of Miura Haruma. I am yet to watch this but reading your review and the fact that his parts were the cool ones - makes me feel so happy and sad at the same time.
Happy that his talent lives on and we will continue to appreciate his work. Sad - that I miss him, his talent and will not be able to see any new work.

But I still want to be a tad bit hopeful - I am thinking it will be like Reborn Rich - which laid a very good foundation, and the twists and turns + drama & music fit well, very gripping. Right now I really don't know whether to laugh or cry or be angry at this drama - "impossible" for me to decide 🤣🤣🤣

My issues with the drama so far:
1. No clear motive or even hint at the game plan. Just conveniently they come together and there are such random time shifts. At least build some foundation, what is driving these characters to do what they are doing and is there genuine friendship or not? The spark of bromance was there - but it does not live more than the 5 minutes.
There is no hint or built-up, just unnecessary dramatic suspenseful music in the background. Which fails to have any effect because there is no drama happening on screen.
2. What is the whole deal with the FL? And why are the guys already in love with her - just cause she is playing hard to get? Or it is their plan - like the whole thing is confusing, illogical and such a drag. And they are trying to show that she is very clever - by ignoring calls? like WTH - its so sad and frustrating that I don't know whether to laugh, cry or punch someone. Can already see this one as a very badly written character with no thought whatsoever.
Another bad female character - the sister. Can already picture her doing brat style unnecessary drama, that will cause misunderstandings but everyone will forgive her in the end, cause she is young. BOO!

I am hoping someone will make a reel/shorts of Lee Jun Young in this drama - just like they did for Byeon Woo-seok for Strong Girl Namsoon, so that I can satisfy my guilty pleasure of watching him, cause right this drama is looking very BAD.
I see a recommendation of Reborn Rich for this drama, which in my opinion slayed in the first 2 episodes - it had a gripping suspenseful hold with its story and characters, making you binge till the end, though it had its own flaws in few things. But this drama does not have that kind of hold on its audience - at least not till now.
Honestly more than the drama, I am even more surprised at the ratings! 8.6 - makes me feel bad for dramas that are actually 8+

Just FYI - I have been eagerly waiting for this drama cause of my love, Lee Jun Young. He is one hell of an actor & am loving the diverse roles he has played & am always geniunely excited to see him. Plus, so handsome ❤️ Lee Jae Wook: I have come to appreciate since his role in Death's Game, though I have seen him in Extraordinary You first. He is not someone I am crazy about but I respect him as an actor. So these 2 together + genre = I expected bromance, lots of twists and turns as these 2 use their wits to come on top of the food chain.
I am writing the rest of my viewpoints in first comment under spoiler tag but omg - I really hope the rest of the episodes prove my initial opinion wrong. I really want to complete this drama. 😭 But the way it is right now it is looking like going straight to the DROPPED list - which will really break my heart, but then time is precious to be wasted on bad dramas, no matter how amazing the cast is!
I never ever have such strong feelings and end up writing in comments 💔💔💔
Plus the fact that episodes will release one per week. Nope, not doing that again. I think I will wait for this one to complete airing - and then read some "genuine" review and "honest" ratings (hard to come by these days on MDL - sorry, but that's the truth, I think we should pause the rating until the drama finishes airing) before deciding to watch this drama.
U&K Lawyer became my favorite dude out of them all tbh. Chef was too much of a puppy and ML was just tooooooo…
I have always seen Ha Do Gwon, the U&K Lawyer actor - in similar roles in support. Here too, I liked that he came across as a cold person but was a softie - no wonder becoming a favorite 😌
