Ji Sung is one of my favorite actors - since I started watching K-dramas if I recall well.
My first drama of his was the iconic - Kill Me, Heal Me and whose scenes still live rent-free in my mind. Since then I have also loved him in these mystery thrillers like Doctor John, Devil Judge, Secret, Defendant - but I miss him in similar roles like that of Kill Me Heal Me.

Familiar Wife was there, and some older dramas like Protect the Boss which had some comedy and romance as focus, but I just keep wishing someday he will do a drama where he has a character that is kind of like Ahn Yo Na with max screentime! Given his acting caliber, I swear my sides will split. And I want to. Drama writers, please give this man a comedy, or BL with Park Seo Joon - 🤣

Please make my delulu dreams become trululu!

This is exactly what I thought as soon as she gives that diary/journal to him. Literally every drama which as a similar plot like this with a case of amnesia - either does not have anything recorded or they would have written it somewhere to be found later.

But seriously you want us to believe that in the digital era? Especially when your partner is making recordings? Oh pish-tush!

I hear you - how you can it near perfect, tbh it was near perfect for me at the start, now it is average/good. Too many dramatics which I found unnecessary just there to tug our heartstrings or something, or frustrate us cause of their "evil" plots when we know it will all end well - else people will riot.

You wrote the word - "nonchalant" expressions. I swear, my english is not english-ing because of this man sometimes. I am literally Ryu Sun Jae IRL when I watch Byeon Woo Seok on-screen 😅

Why are we forgetting that MDL is a platform where all can share their "OWN" viewpoints. We need to respect every perspective - after all that is what makes dramas and this platform so interesting!

A drama maybe flawless/perfect for some, mediocre for others and bad for the rest. And that's okay - we can all have different opinions about the same drama. Let's not try and convince others or bash them in the comments just because their opinion about a drama differs from yours.

I did not drop it per se - but when I started this drama, first 1-3 episodes were slow for me, and I really had to keep at it to build interest. But then Ep 3-11 were so so good - I literally watched them non-stop, and even wrote a early review and gave it a rating of 9/10 (can you believe it)

But since then it has not done that well for me - like nothing is bad or anything, it is just become yet another melodrama, and again I am just pulling myself to complete it. (Also so far my rating has come to a 7 - which is again not bad, but rather good given how I rate my dramas)

Summary - it is a good drama, but not a great one.
And I just hope others are able to get our views to - not everyone can love a drama, just like not everyone can hate a drama. People are always going to be divided and that's okay too.

There are so many, and this is why you have the recommendations section for every drama. It literally shares dramas that are similar.

And I am talking about themes/genres - we have seen a similar storyline before that has complicated relationships, terminal illness, chaebol family drama etc.

Delulu me thinking why can I not get a man to love me like Sun Jae - care and love that surpasses time. I mean I know - not much difference between me and Im Sol - except her bright personality, unselfish nature and beauty 😅😅😅 but a gal can dream 🥹🥹🥹

Ep 6 started a little awkward - like what was that kick and makgeolli scene 🤣
But what came after - all the cute moments, the confession, heartbreak, auntie's conditions and the appearance of the taxi driver on the day of the accident.

From the preview can already see - fate is changing, but is it for the better?
Seems like if things get better for Im Sol, her relationship with Sun Jae suffers 😟

But this is really getting good - can't wait for next week episodes!

Even if we remove the killer suspect theory aside,
He probably was thrown out of school after Im Sol's accident, as he was labelled as the primary bully. Now it could be cause someone did say it was him along with bully girls, or bully girls framed him, or he admitted to bullying due to guilt of what happened to Im Sol.

He also lost his face in society as a bully, plus his spot/fame in the band.

Maybe the taxi driver is the killer - he was pissed at Sun Jae for saving his prey i.e. Im Sol in 2008. Since then his new target became Sun Jae - and he killed him in the hotel. He could also be the dude who knocked off the phone in her hand - or even if he is not, the first part can be possible....

If they had been there - then how would our psycho second male character play his switcheroo plot. They are not there conveniently for this to happen - drama writing that will frustrate you, question logic (like we are doing) and yet love it when it will all end well - and our main hero will smack the evil dude and his Queen back! Or rather she is the Queen so she will smack the evil dude!

TBH, Ep 14 felt like a filler except for the ending.

The story is simple and not something we have not seen before.
But it is the way they have elevated it with the casting the popular actors, good cinematography, catchy/soothing music, frustratingly good twist and turns that all has been bundled and being marketed very well.

This is what is causing the hype - now one can be swayed by it or not be. That's all.
For me too - this is a good drama, not great though.

For me I am still 50-50 whether it was suicide or murder. especially after they lingered on the door and doorbell.

In terms of who could have actually pushed him or accidently pushed him:
1. The Manager - he is sus for sure, but why will he kill his star, that would be the end of his career as well, sort of. Or maybe he did accidently in anger. OR maybe it was suicide - Ryu Sun Jae was so fed up and manager came to convince him, and in a fit of anger he jumps or pretends to jump to scare him and actually falls.

2. OMO! Is the guy who accidently knocked off Im Sol's phone in 2023 is the taxi driver/psycho serial killer? And maybe he is stalking Sun Jae since the time he saved Im Sol in 2008. Since Sun Jae thwarted his plans. Aaaaand maybe he is the one who killed Sun Jae?

Or even if he is not the phone knocker - the taxi driver could be targeting Sun Jae as his new "prey" since 2008, since at that time Sun Jae let his then prey (Im Sol) get away. I say prey cause he is a psycho serial killer.

3. His friend, In Hyuk - cause he was jealous?

4. Kim Tae Sung - okay so this is very whacky one, but hear me out. In 2023, no one knows about him since after high school. What if something happened between Tae Sung and Ryu Sun Jae - like really bad. Tae Sung probably lost the fame once Sun Jae joined the band. Plus on the day of Im Sol's accident, maybe past Tae Sung had promised to meet Im Sol but doesnt turn up. Im Sol is tortured by bully girls and then later captured by psycho killer taxi driver but escapes and falls in the water. This is where Ryu Sun Jae saved her. What if he told the school authorities that Tae sung was behind the bullying or even if he did not Tae Sung believed that he outed him, and was the reason for his expulsion. Maybe his life took for the worse after that while Sun Jae became a star. So Tae Sung came to his hotel and finally took revenge for what he thought was his place to be a star and expulsion from school and pushed him?

Regarding Ryu Sun Jae's demise in 2023 - some more theories and suspects...

I am loving how Byeon Woo Seok is playing the character so well - acting cold on the surface but sneakily loving every moment he is with Im Sol. So glad that he's the main lead - cause his talent deserves this recognition and more 🩷

I hope so too, but while they did veer away from the cliche - more or less it has come back in some form or the other. if not for main characters - someone else or vice versa.
