Even if we remove the killer suspect theory aside,
He probably was thrown out of school after Im Sol's accident, as he was labelled as the primary bully. Now it could be cause someone did say it was him along with bully girls, or bully girls framed him, or he admitted to bullying due to guilt of what happened to Im Sol.

He also lost his face in society as a bully, plus his spot/fame in the band.

Maybe the taxi driver is the killer - he was pissed at Sun Jae for saving his prey i.e. Im Sol in 2008. Since then his new target became Sun Jae - and he killed him in the hotel. He could also be the dude who knocked off the phone in her hand - or even if he is not, the first part can be possible....

If they had been there - then how would our psycho second male character play his switcheroo plot. They are not there conveniently for this to happen - drama writing that will frustrate you, question logic (like we are doing) and yet love it when it will all end well - and our main hero will smack the evil dude and his Queen back! Or rather she is the Queen so she will smack the evil dude!

TBH, Ep 14 felt like a filler except for the ending.

The story is simple and not something we have not seen before.
But it is the way they have elevated it with the casting the popular actors, good cinematography, catchy/soothing music, frustratingly good twist and turns that all has been bundled and being marketed very well.

This is what is causing the hype - now one can be swayed by it or not be. That's all.
For me too - this is a good drama, not great though.

For me I am still 50-50 whether it was suicide or murder. especially after they lingered on the door and doorbell.

In terms of who could have actually pushed him or accidently pushed him:
1. The Manager - he is sus for sure, but why will he kill his star, that would be the end of his career as well, sort of. Or maybe he did accidently in anger. OR maybe it was suicide - Ryu Sun Jae was so fed up and manager came to convince him, and in a fit of anger he jumps or pretends to jump to scare him and actually falls.

2. OMO! Is the guy who accidently knocked off Im Sol's phone in 2023 is the taxi driver/psycho serial killer? And maybe he is stalking Sun Jae since the time he saved Im Sol in 2008. Since Sun Jae thwarted his plans. Aaaaand maybe he is the one who killed Sun Jae?

Or even if he is not the phone knocker - the taxi driver could be targeting Sun Jae as his new "prey" since 2008, since at that time Sun Jae let his then prey (Im Sol) get away. I say prey cause he is a psycho serial killer.

3. His friend, In Hyuk - cause he was jealous?

4. Kim Tae Sung - okay so this is very whacky one, but hear me out. In 2023, no one knows about him since after high school. What if something happened between Tae Sung and Ryu Sun Jae - like really bad. Tae Sung probably lost the fame once Sun Jae joined the band. Plus on the day of Im Sol's accident, maybe past Tae Sung had promised to meet Im Sol but doesnt turn up. Im Sol is tortured by bully girls and then later captured by psycho killer taxi driver but escapes and falls in the water. This is where Ryu Sun Jae saved her. What if he told the school authorities that Tae sung was behind the bullying or even if he did not Tae Sung believed that he outed him, and was the reason for his expulsion. Maybe his life took for the worse after that while Sun Jae became a star. So Tae Sung came to his hotel and finally took revenge for what he thought was his place to be a star and expulsion from school and pushed him?

Regarding Ryu Sun Jae's demise in 2023 - some more theories and suspects...

I am loving how Byeon Woo Seok is playing the character so well - acting cold on the surface but sneakily loving every moment he is with Im Sol. So glad that he's the main lead - cause his talent deserves this recognition and more 🩷

I hope so too, but while they did veer away from the cliche - more or less it has come back in some form or the other. if not for main characters - someone else or vice versa.

For the main lead. This is a usual k-drama formula - when all things are going well, lovey dovey for the main leads - something happens to one of them that makes them lose memory.

Hence the other one then has to try and make them remember the old love etc. and of course in the end, they remember everything - cause their love was so strong and all - and we have a happy ending.

Like it frustrating when it happens but then you can't help but watch it again and still keep hoping and praying for a happy ending 😅

Of course, amnesia had to make an appearance in the plot for the main leads.
Is it even a K-drama unless a character loses memory? 😅

Not even 10 minutes into this drama - but can already see Lee Je Hoon literally living/breathing his role to a perfection.

How does this man make every role look like it was made for him? What a talent, can never get tired of seeing him - even if he is typecast in similar roles of a detective. He somehow makes each one unique ❤️

But why would she be waiting for him (RSJ) and they were to meet?

What we have seen so far, past Im Sol (IS) was not interested in RSJ. RSJ just had a one sided crush on her & probably followed her around like a puppy & saved her from many things without her knowledge.

On day of her accident, IS probably was supposed to meet TS, who she was mad about. He probably did not turn up - either cause he did not care or something with his mom came up (we know he wants to be acknowledged by her, but she ain't around).

Somehow - the bully girls got wind of this meet up place and probably hit her and chased her (hence the cuts and bruises). IS somehow escaped and crossed paths with the taxi driver (now this person is either someone known or a psycho killer). He probably tried to make a move, and IS alerted tried to run away from him too - but he ran her over and she falls from the bridge in the water.

This is the point where - RSJ sees her and tries to save her.

Maybe next day or sometime later - even Tae Sung gets to know of this. RSJ probably complains to the school that IS was bullied - and in the school committee Tae Sung is made the culprit or he accepts out of guilt and hence expelled.

Or maybe RSJ fought with him, blaming him for not showing up which cause IS's current state and Tae Sung is expelled for bullying/fights etc. Or he just drops out of guilt.

RSJ too moves away - thinking IS would never want to see him, and hence even at distance as he grows in his career at Eclipse, he keeps tabs on her and hence the call at the radio station.

In Ep 1 - when at the concert crowd, someone brushes past Im Sol and makes her drop her cellphone. It cracks which is why she is unable to call later. Was it someone who did it on purpose or was it random.

I honestly thought it was random - kind of all bad things happening one after the other - so that in the end the good thing happens i.e. she meets her idol in person.

But I see so many theories going around that maybe that guy is someone significant, or even Ryu Sun Jae (though I think that is bonkers - why will he be out in a crowd, and not his green room? especially when everyone can recognize him - he could cause a stampede).

Some are saying it is Ryu Sun Jae - time travelling, like what even? Also I really don't think this can happen. It will be too much similar to One Day or Some day then.

P.S I love that this drama makes me think so much about it - even on days it does not air.
