I think it’s hilarious but your sense of humor must be different. I do agree there is too much politic talking…
In the anime, the politics moves the plot quite fast. Within just 5 - 6 episodes if I'm not mistaken. But the anime lacks in some aspects such as the relationship among the brothers, the elders, and so on. e.g. The bond among the 3 sworn brothers is not explored deeply in the anime. They're seldom seen together, which made me wonder if these three bothers were really that close. And other relationships. In the anime, Ge Yingxing appears briefly. We are told that he's Zichuan Xiu's mentor. But almost no scenes that show how close they are. When Si Yilin meets Princess Ka Dan, he falls in love immediately (because she's a sexy babe in the anime LOL). They also don't show the history of the elders Zichuan Canxing, Yang Minghua, and Ge Yingxing. How they are connected. Political conflicts and wars just happen in the anime. Traitor suddenly appear out of nowhere. It's all about war and war. Maybe they did it on purpose because it's anime so it has to have a lot of actions never mind the nuances etc.
So I'm actually happy with what they've done in the drama so far. They respect the story and moreover, they respect the brothers by showing their personalities in details. I feel I know them even more here than them in the anime. The relationships and conflicts make sense
I know it's frustrating for those who haven't watched the anime things seem to move so slow. I think the 10 episodes are there to fill out the drama with enough essential aspects. There will be more wars and conflicts within the country and the neighboring countries in the coming episodes, I hope. Fingers crossed.

Basically the story is about the growth of the 3 sworn brothers, Dilin, Si Yilin, and Zichuan Xiu and their embroilment in wars and political conflicts. They are soldiers and not politicians. They are serving their country and also politicians just like in any other countries. The politicians put these soldiers under their wings so that they can use them whenever they need army to reach their goals. Dilin under Yang Minghua, Si Yilin underZichuan Canxing, and Zichuan Xiu under Ge Yingxing. So the story is not about politics. The politics are there to move the plot forward.
If they don't want to write romance but they want to add it they should just stick to the idea that in those times…
I'm not sure why. Ppl have an option to stay or leave if there's something they don't like about a drama. It's not like they're being pressured into watching the drama.
The story doesn't make sense. Plus the characters don't make sense either. 10/24 episodes and no character growth.…
Reading the novel or watching the anime first before watching this drama would help. The anime focuses more on the battle scenes while the drama explores the characters in depth. The anime has whooping 42 episodes just for season 1.
Well, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.. If they destroyed a novel by not making this adaptation properly, my only consolation would be season 2 of the anime..
From what I can tell, Zichuan is a world with many regions with different races/clans that are fighting each other.…
Lol.. I know. I thought they would have it too because the anime has it. I suppose they presumed ppl must have been familiar with the story since the anime had been out first (in the same year as they shot the drama).
I've watched the anime so this is what I gather. Zichuan Xiu grew up in Zichuan family as an adopted son. He grew…
YW. Ning's father's name is Zichuan YuanXing. Zichuan CanXing is her uncled. After Zichuan YuanXing passed away, the headmaster of the house is her uncle, who is also her guardian. When her father died, Ah Ning was still too young to become the head of House Zichuan.

Factions are Empire of Light, House Zichuan, House Liu Feng, House Lin, and the Demon empire. I think they changed the demon empire into North clan in the drama.

I'm not sure about the exact age of them. But yes, Ning was somewhere between 9 or 10. Ah Xiu was already a teenager. Dilin and Si Yilin are older than Ah Xiu. After they had finished their training at the military academy and sent to different divisions, it seems that Ah Xiu and Ning were still able to see each other but not often because Ah Xiu was already a soldier. Then there was some sort of a conflict in the army or something, can't remember exactly. Ah Xiu got involved in this conflict. He was accused of treason. He was about to be executed or dismissed from the army by Yang Minghua (he's the commander of Zichuan family). But Ning's father asked Yang Minghua to send him to Yuanzhou border (in the anime it's called Far East) instead. There he spent 7 years battling the enemy with his army.
