Why it become vampire drama? The title also isnt it Broccoli? I thought it gonna be story that continues from…
It was always a vampire story. Boun wanted to star in a vampire BL, so he started writing one. I feel like the name was a placeholder. It was indeed called "My Broccoli," but that's the fandom name for BounPrem supporters and not tied to UWMA or Between Us (though those are where the fandom name came from). Boun was always the screenwriter, and they didn't change the story, just the name. At Studio WabiSabi, it was "Vampire Project," then it was taken in by GMMTV and changed to Revamp. This isn't at all related to Between Us.
EDIT: Sorry for the double comment, I thought I was answering two different people.
It was a vampire story since the beginning, nothing related with between us i think
You're remembering wrong. It was always a vampire story. Many of us complained early on about the name, since it was a vampire story, but it was called "My Broccoli," which is the fandom name for BounPrem supporters and not tied to UWMA or Between Us. Boun was always the screenwriter, and they didn't change the story, just the name. At Studio WabiSabi, it was "Vampire Project," then it was taken in by GMMTV and changed to Revamp. I don't think this show was ever actually going to be called My Broccoli, and I think it was just a placeholder. Boun is actually the reason this show is happening. He wanted to star in a vampire BL, so he started writing one.
still a big step for China. as expected, if they were to given a chance to make lgbtqa+ movies and dramas, China…
It's true, but China is constantly shooting itself in the foot with its own "moral" posturing. In the '80s, China was on the way to becoming the top of the film industry, but the US ultimately retained that position because of China's own censorship and restrictions. I've never seen a country so frantic to get in its own way.
Well they're apparently doing a three week filler for the Thursday slot, which is a good sign. Something might…
Noooooooo, I was hoping that was a one time thing. I prefer it all at once. Oh well. But yeah, I would have been really surprised if they skipped it altogether. They're just getting mighty ambitious for a company that often fills precious time slots with reruns because a show isn't ready. But honestly, as long as all the ones I care about actually come out and are good, I support them, haha.

I would be shocked if they didn’t. Their end of year expo is a huge opportunity to find investors and such. It's why they didn't just wait until all the shows were ready to do one and instead split it into parts. It's possible for them to finish all of the remaining shows and maybe up to 15 or so more in 2025, so it isn't completely unreasonable. The problem is they often miss deadlines or have licensing issues that delay production. I feel like the company isn't as well-managed as it should be. But they always end up having shows pushed into the next year, or even later. It was insane how many they took on this time with their track record, but I have my fingers crossed that they'll pull it together. A more efficient company could pull off maybe up to thirty shows in a year with their time slot restri tions. So I guess we'll see!
only boo has its final episode on june 23, so if what p'off said is true, the trainee will get either the sunday…
Well they're apparently doing a three week filler for the Thursday slot, which is a good sign. Something might come after that, though most of their projects aren't ready. It might end up being a rerun regardless, which sucks, since they have SO many shows to air. If they were better with deadlines, they could easily air around 14-18 more shows this year, meaning they'd only have a few more from the 2024 expo to air in 2025. I'm worried they're gonna have to keep pushing tons of shows back, since they'll inevitably announce at least 13 more in December.
I know the injury for High School Frenemy set things back, but I doubt it was ever planned for the Thursday slot anyway. Probably the Mon-Tues slot. Peaceful Property for Sale seems like an obvious Thursday selection, as I doubt Thursday will be a BL/GL day, but that one is still filming, so who knows.
Ok that gives me hope. So these photos are not from a pilot? The whole thing is already filmed?
Unfortunately, I'm really not sure, to be honest. My sources aren't super solid, which is why I said "supposedly," but here's hoping we get an update soon. They had been filming the last time they officially updated, so hopefully we do eventually get more information.
Won't release until late this year as gmmtv have a schedule and it was announced in part 2
Yes, I'm aware. I was referring to the fact that you equated it airing at the end of the year to it being in part 2. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but it was how it came across. I'm just letting people know, as I see a lot of people saying, "It won't air until later because it was in part 2."
Supposedly they finished filming, so I'm not sure what the hold up is. Maybe there's a licensing issue. I just hope this isn't shelved. I'm excited for this one for multiple reasons. But there have been a few BLs here and there that finished filming only to run into some legal issue or another (contracts, etc.) and never air. However, this one is an unusual plot, so it'd be such a shame not to get it. Fingers crossed that we hear something soon.
To be fair, Thai shows can take a notoriously long time to come to fruition. Many projects have looked abandoned, only to suddenly pop up three years later. But after that three or four year mark, 99.9% of projects that haven't come out yet tend to just disappear. :(
Since it's going to have some romance, PLEASE let it be M/M. I don't even care who it's betweem, we just desperately need more dark, gritty BL. Het romance gets all the fun plots, even in shows and movies where romance doesn't even fit and is just shoehorned in.

While that's definitely the case with this one, keep in mind that the release date wasn't the sole reason for what was in parts one or two, meaning there are things in part 2 that will release before things in part 1, just in case anyone was confused. (For example, it's almost guaranteed that Perfect Ten Liners will air before My Golden Blood, and issues with High School Frenemy may push that one back pretty far too.)
I'm glad this does seem to be happening, but I'm kind of sad about one of the actor replacements. Hopefully these guys are really strong actors and do a great job. Fingers crossed this gets the treatment it deserves, since we get so few good supernatural BL.
Someone said he is the new Bright, he doesn't want to do BL anymore lol, his last BL will air soon, i mean he…
People are melodramatic and treat everything like the end of the world, that's why. I personally don't think Gemini seems all that comfortable in romantic roles of any type, be it MM or MF, so I could see him potentially pulling away from roles with any focus on that. But the BL industry is changing, so we're slowly shifting away from the majority-fluff, high school/college shows that dominated the genre for a long time. As that happens more and more, the genre will become more appealing to actors who don't just want to be in low-substance shows.
I do think BL fans need to take a deep breath and not read into every little thing or believe every comment they read. I get so tired of the, "I thought he said he was gonna quit BL!" posts whenever an actor surrounded by rumors is in a new BL. The vast majority of the time, they never said anything like that, and most of what you read online as far as "he wanted to quit" or "he only did this show because he only wants to do BL with this specific actor" are almost never true. It's part of a mix of fantasy and this sort of self-preservation thing BL fans seem to do because they've been burned. I get it, but spreading misinformation doesn't help anyone.
From what I've heard, that's more of an international thing. I'm a huge FirstKhao fan as well, but in Thailand, apparently JoongDunk is more popular. First and Khaotung even had a special set up for how many international fans were expected to be at their meet up, due to the language barrier. At any rate, be careful out there, because there are people who will have a meltdown if you say that First/Khaotung are the it couple at GMMTV. XD
Either way, I'm excited to see them working together. I haven't been able to really love any of Joong and Dunk's shows, but they seem like cool people. So I have my fingers crossed that they do well, because if this show disappoints me, I'm gonna have a meltdown of my own, lol. I'm SO excited for it.
Wait, I'm confused as to why the original page wasn't just changed to this. Are they still planning the series as well? I may have misunderstood, but it was told to me like they were doing a short film instead of a show. I would love if the show was still happening.
Does anyone know what kind of romance this might be? It only says LGBT+, which could mean a million things, and I don't know which list I should put this on.
