Do we know if it'll just be Monday, or if it'll be a Monday-Tuesday situation? I would have to assume the latter, but I know last year we had two different shows on Monday and Tuesday for a time.
Can everyone just shut up.....let's not spoil this..I'm rooting for all four of them....I hate these fan wars!
Seriously, I wish people would just grow up. There are way too many children in the comments here. It is possible to have an opinion without collapsing into a screaming temper tantrum like a toddler. With maturity, you learn how to conduct yourself in discourse, but so many of these commenters are either physically teenagers, or mentally teenagers. Please save it for your blog, kids. These comments are embarrassing and annoying.
Tell The World I Love You, is technically a bromance, Though Net's character does confess toward the end, there…
Thank you for the info. I'm hoping I can see it myself at some point and gauge my feelings on how secondary it feels, but I probably will end up removing it.
I loved this list so much! Thanks to you I watched Kiseki Dear to me and I LOVED IT! It was my 1st taiwanese bl…
I'm so glad it helped! Thank you for the comment, and I've been meaning to check out Unknown but haven't had the chance. I didn't expect it to have many intense moments in that sense, so thanks for letting me know. I'll move it up on the list. (Also, sorry it took a long time for me to answer. I've been really busy.)
I would include "be my favorite" after all it touches on the theme of time travel, I would also include "love…
Thank you for your suggestions, but I don't include things that are basically slice-of-life with some supernatural elements. Sometimes I second guess these choices, but ultimately the show has to have moments that are thrilling for non-sexual reasons, so major fights (physical altercations for plot purposes), chase scenes, genuinely creepy horror (rather than just a ghost boyfriend), thriller elements, serious mystery, etc. It's why Something in My Room is listed and not Low Frequency, or Triage but not Be My Favorite. Even He's Coming to Me is only listed for the murder mystery, not the ghost element. Many reincarnation, time travel, or time magic plots in BL are basically just slice-of-life, in my opinion. This list would be a lot longer if any element of the supernatural were enough, but my goal here is more to list things that are harder to find. Action and horror mostly, rather than just anything that isn't explicitly a slice-of-life drama or comedy.
However, you can probably gauge by some of what I have listed that that's been a tricky line for me. Like Dear Doctor I'm Coming for Your Soul has a strong death theme, but ultimately it's more about the human condition and fear of death than anything, so I didn't include it. I'm not sure if that's right or not. But maybe a solution would be to make a second list for BL that's just for any supernatural shows, since it's been hard to pinpoint what fits here and what doesn't. I'm basing it on my personal yearning for more exhilarating shows, since many of the BL shows with magic and such don't have very exciting plots.
That being said, I have been debating adding Love for Love's Sake because it does have some higher stakes here and there. The themes are mild compared to some other shows, but like some of the other low intensity options, it does have its moments. Having another person suggest it, I'll go ahead and add that one.
As for Century of Love, while reincarnation isn't enough to get it on the list, I was waiting for it to finish airing so I could find out if it had any other more exciting or unusual elements, other than them just meeting again and one of them throwing a "no homo" tantrum. If it does have action or more of a thriller angle, I'll add it. EDIT: So I see that "action" has been added to the tags, so I will indeed be adding this one as well. Thanks for giving me a reason to check on it!
Sorry this comment is so long, I'm just trying to explain my reasoning regarding the list, but obviously some of these choices are up for debate. Writing this comment to you has me second guessing some more, and I may remove a few things off of this list. And maybe make that second list, like I said.
I'm so happy for Est. When he first signed on with GMMTV, he said he really hoped he'd get a BL ship, which is really cute. Though I hope their fandom doesn't basically become an abusive spouse like some sad cases.
Damn does this mean that we will have reruns on both Wednesday and Saturday?
There's a small hope here, as sometimes they stall a release that isn't quite ready with a short run show of some sort, like a four part concert or something. Then we'd just have a few weeks until a new release. However, I was really hoping they'd do that with either Thursday or Saturday, and those are both reruns, so who knows. I recall a time when basically all the slots were reruns but for like one, so who even knows. I really wish they had better time management and scheduling. Especially with the 2025 expo coming, so we still have like 21 announced shows to air, but they'll for sure add at least another 14 to that in 2025, or more if they're doing a two part again (rumored to be the case).
Exactly, it's so weird to me how many people are making shocked Pikachu faces over this. We were all uncertain the day it was announced, but by that evening it had been confirmed BL, and that was in December. I think people just love to spout nonsense as fact, so there was a lot of confusion.
It's up there with non-Thai speakers claiming an actor said he'd never do BL or would never do another BL, etc. People are either cynical or homophobic and since Thai information is limited to second-hand sources for most of us, people tend to take every random comment as truth.
I think Wednesday is almost definitely Summer Night, and I think M/T will be High School Frenemy. I don't think…
Sadly, not only is it not Peaceful Property, it was my worst fear option. A full rerun. No new Saturday show until October. :( For now, I'm sticking with my suspicion that it'll take over the Thursday slot after The Eclipse.
i’m hoping once boun’s concert has finished they will start moving along with this series. based on the cast,…
I don't know if that would have been a factor, but maybe! They pushed The Trainee down quite a bit after people were complaining about it being "too soon" for another OffGun show right after the previous one had ended, though there's no proof that was BECAUSE of the complaints and not something else.
But I think it'll just end up that way, unfortunately. They're gearing up to start filming My Golden Blood, so it could air this year. Revamp has been pretty quiet, so I'm guessing it won't start filming until the end of summer at the earliest. I'd love to have them both this year, but having one to watch right after the other is nice too, haha.
Please stop doing the "waiting" comments out of respect for other fans. The comment section is for fan discussion and updates about the show. If we have to wade through tons of spam comments, it isn't helpful. Maybe you can create your own group or something, but please be considerate of others.
In August we will get new GMMTV dramasFriday - Kidnap (Replacing My Love Mix Up)Saturday - Peaceful Property (Replacing…
I think Wednesday is almost definitely Summer Night, and I think M/T will be High School Frenemy. I don't think Peaceful Property will replace Wandee Goodday. I think it'll probably replace the rerun of The Eclipse when it's done, so Thursday. I think Kidnap is likely to replace My Love Mix Up, but still not sure. And obviously Sunday isn't a guess because it had already started airing on Sunday when you posted this comment, so obviously that one is right. XD
If nothing else is ready for the Saturday slot, they may do another short run thing, like concerts or a reality show. I just don't feel like Peaceful Property would get such a coveted spot. I mean, maybe? I'm looking forward to it, and even as a friendship only show, people love New and Tay. But that's three full months of another show not being able to take the Saturday slot, and I feel like they'd rather stall than miss the chance to air something bigger then. Who knows, though. That spot seems to be a bit contentious.
I just hope we don't get more reruns when other shows end, because there are still so many shows waiting to air. But a lot of them don't seem like they'll be ready until mid to late fall at the earliest, so who knows.
I'm not sure why people are upset that you said this. I don't hate fluffy BL, but most BL is either light romance,…
If you look at my profile, you'll see that I have an entire list of the few BLs, both released and supposedly upcoming, that qualify as more unusual. I'm very aware of everything that's coming up that breaks the common mold, for sure. But even if every show on my list comes out (which a good number likely won't), and even though I put some things on the list that technically barely apply, just to bulk it up, it's still only around 2-3% of all BL out there. Maybe less.
However, you can probably gauge by some of what I have listed that that's been a tricky line for me. Like Dear Doctor I'm Coming for Your Soul has a strong death theme, but ultimately it's more about the human condition and fear of death than anything, so I didn't include it.
