He is bland and that's okay, he barley has any depth, personality and only revolves around her.

This could've served enemies to lovers but nah thete isn't any chemistry and they don't look good as a couple. Had they casted the other guy as him, it definitely would've worked better. It's also weird for me to see ppl on TT say that they want her with the bland 2nd ML and it seems they're forgetting how toxic she is lol

Also expressionless characters only work if they slowly warm up like come on give me smth

I'm glad you get them, Secret 2013 is my fave drama and it's as if they stopped there. Business proposal had the chance to be good but it was so dry. I get that "healthy" is the aim nowadays but it shouldn't be at the cost of compelling characters. They took out every fun cliche, character development, individuality and drama. It's just K
I checked out Attorney smth because I've seen it hype and whilst the FL is great, is ML is super nice, wonderful, perfect, flawless. It makes me sick, there's no way for growth.

I just want a real rollercoaster and drama. Eve started out good but once again the ML is a wet towel (and I like expressionless MLs). Everything needs to be perfect, bland and relatable.

The last one I liked was Barney from HIMYM bc despite how controversial he is he had the best growth (except the last 2 eps we don't talk about them). Most romance related drama nowadays sadly don't have flawed, interesting males leads with growth. They are all bland or picture perfect.

Inexpressive MLs are only good when they have depth, reasonings, deliver emotions through eyes and you seem them slowly grow/develop for the sake of the FL. But we're 11 ep and nothing. Kdrama really need to find character development again, I swear.

I would watch more Cdrama weren't it for the 50 eps but agree I was indirectly talking about the WhyHer guy too (and the guy from Attorney). They're so perfect but ppl seem to love them?
Tbvh I blame western tv shows (they're as dry with bland MLs) and mindsets for that.

Yeah I'm hoping if this really was a success it will rub off and bring drama/manga like this back. Currently we're living in the blandest fictional era in my eyes. Couples don't even fight or have issues anymore. I miss the rollercoaster

Yeah but outside of the social media bubble was it successful? I remember Meteor Garden being everywhere, only asking bc I'm hoping it will bring the drama back into dramas.

The way y'all would've caught my attention by calling it standard makjang k-drama bc I haven't seen any drama in Kdrama in years but the ML is so bland and has the personality of a wet towel. Why is it always compelling Female Leads and the blandest wet towels next to them with no growth, no flaws, no personality (other than nice), no depth and usually just some nice guy running after her like a puppy. I'm tired, I miss old Kdrama

The last one I finished was Song Jong Ki drama, it had interesting characters. Current Kdrams are just .. bland, especially the MLs
