Jeez the hate for Esther's voice. I think her voice is perfect for her character. Plus That's just her voice.…
And I agree with you about her character - we also need her to have character development, so a naive orchid is the right portrayal for her character at the stage where she's at
Thank you! J-dramas have become my favorites, for sure. What are your most memorable dramas?
Oh gosh, which one - hmmmm! Can't choose the most memorable, but here you have my favourite j-dramas (for someone who otherwise mainly watches c-dramas):
+ Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi + Alice in Borderland + Kahogo no Kahoko + Kakafukaka + Kuzu no Honkai/Scum's Wish + Last Cinderella + Love and Fortune + Shanai Marriage Honey + Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru + Otto no Chinpo ga Hairanai
I like how j-dramas are so distinguishable from k-dramas and c-dramas. I more or less only need to read the plot, and I can be certain that it's a japanese drama.
This will be my next j-drama for sure! Haven't found many great j-dramas, but compared to c-dramas and k-dramas, those J-dramas I've fully completed are usually the most memorable ones and on my top-list of dramas. Thank you for this well-written article :)
Yes! At last the romance begins haha I really see the chemistry now. It's a bit funny how cliché this drama is, but at the same time it has a bit of a twist to it. In addition, I appreciate that it's slowly building up the relationship compared to other hackneyed dramas.
Episode 7 was really great! I'm kind of sad a lot of people dropped this at the beginning.
It feels like the drama is finally progressing and their chemistry starts to blossom. My biggest problem with this show was the 2FL, and how much her story with the boys took over compared to the actual FL. But now it feels like we can finally see it moving forward - can't wait to see 8th episode
I loved the first 2 because it was cringe with a twist. And I hoped they would take it further and give us great scenes, but it just went down south after second episode. Furthermore, there's almost nothing enticing about the main characters. I get annoyed my 2nd FL, and skip most of her scenes. ML hasn't really decided what he wants lol. His manager has a better chemistry with FL - that's for sure! SML and FL have a hilarious scenes together, although we know that that ship will never sail. And FL is the only character I love, despite her being stepped on by everyone else. I will continue watching at least two more episodes, only because I've invested too much time and energy to drop it midways.
I've watched up to ep 8 and not much has happened, yet. From what I've seen so far it's a bit boring and I am…
I agree! I don't feel Dylan Wang in this role at all and I've decided to drop the drama because of how boring it is. For someone who has seen a myriad of historical c-dramas, I just feel like they've reused countless tropes. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, and I can see why it can appeal to some audiences. If I had seen this for 5-6 years ago, I most likely would have finished watching it.
This the cutest fluff-fluff ever - and it's to die for! I couldn't stop smiling. Plotwise, nothing new, but I love how they handle misunderstandings with such wonderful communication. That makes the drama feel fresh and not like many k-dramas, where misunderstandings guide the plot. This drama gets 10/10 for me! Such a pearl!
Awww - I saw this one on Viki but only when I actually checked MDL did it occur to me, that it hasn't aired yet! Such a let down! Well, I 'll be looking forward to watching it once it's aired and has a sub-team.
I've dropped it after dragging myself through 9 episodes - the plot line doesn't entice me and neither does the characters. Nothing really happens, so I have to let this one go.
So far, it is a promising one. We know where the plot is leading us, however, I like the whole "reality show" concept. I'm looking forward to see if it will keep my interest in the following episodes to come.
+ Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi
+ Alice in Borderland
+ Kahogo no Kahoko
+ Kakafukaka
+ Kuzu no Honkai/Scum's Wish
+ Last Cinderella
+ Love and Fortune
+ Shanai Marriage Honey
+ Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru
+ Otto no Chinpo ga Hairanai
