this was such a satisfying watch. rated it 8/10. the age gap is necessary in the drama although not the most obvious due to their great chemistry. highly recommended!! ZLS has great chemistry with any male lead she's paired with :'))))))
currently at ep 10 and i'm glad that i'm not the only one frustrated by the poor chemistry and cringe flirting between the leads T.T watching on for dylan but man i'm losing my patience with the cringe dialogues and forced chemistry... also the supporting couple... so unnecessarily complicated?!
I am glad somebody is talking about this. And don’t forget that everyone has figured out that something was…
that's a fair point about people just keeping things to themselves unless they see smth fishy going on - like when Flora made a mistake, she was punished accordingly and not given any special treatment so i guess those who maybe knew back then (like Lumi) did not say anything

actually even Luke being ok to go public was also odd because office romance is against company policy, so idk why he wasn’t afraid of it. I just think the writers shouldn’t mention that workplace romance is forbidden to begin with, since it is not even strictly enforced in the end
Because of Flora's insecurity and self-respect. She came to Beijing to stand on her own two feet, make something…
yeah I get that she wanted the privacy so people won’t doubt her capability, but they are both clearing violating company policy and later on it is as though it actually isn’t strictly enforced? just a side point haha I just think the writers shouldn’t have mentioned that it is forbidden to begin with! just frowned upon
they made such a big deal about office romance being prohibited, especially between a superior and his/her subordinate but (1) when Lumi was attracted to Will who was her boss, she didn’t hide it from Tao and they even got tgt (altho not shown whether they went public) and (2) when Tracy/HR found out abt it, she didn’t accord any disciplinary action on Flora or Luke (altho we get that it’s bc she knows Flora is capable and hardworking and would not have done anything unethical but HR policy is HR policy)?? so why make it such a big deal and forbidden from the start when in the end going public wasn’t too disastrous… but I get that Flora wanted to keep it a secret bc she didn’t want ppl to think she succeeded bc of Luke but still. this office romance HR policy thing was confusing for me lol can anyone shed any thoughts?
finally finished this and gave it a 7.5 stars mainly for the great chemistry between the leads but too many plot loop holes to be convinced about certain things lol. still very much recommended!!
Jiang yan knows that his father just sees him as a replacement for Lu XiXiao, but I think he wants to be accepted…
sigh i thought so too but i didnt think his desperation would bring him there, bc his father is such a scum!! i've yet to complete the series so idk how he turns out towards the end. hoping for the best
the speed at which the ML forgave the FL... sure they both really love each other deeply and that seems to justify the hurt that the FL inflicted upon the ML when she lied to him but him telling her that she didn't contribute to his mental health issues and even told her that she was the medicine to it... please no let's not normalize this toxic behaviour lol
can someone enlighten me on why Jiang Yan would want to work at his father’s company, given that he had previously decided that he no longer wants to have anything to do with him?? his father also treats him and his mom so terribly back then and yet he applied to work there and thought that his father wouldn’t pull any strings to approve his application?? idgi
Thanks for the warning! You quite literally saved me from needless frustration.
i dropped it after 26 episodes!! wow u persevered and i'm sorry you went through hell with her toxicity T.T i dont really think she really expects him to coddle her but she is definitely not resolute enough to persevere through the challenges in their relationship!!
great drama, super good chemistry between the leads and they really showed their mutual dependence on each other over the years… a parallel to the Chinese title (bones of stray dogs) where they are rly like stray dogs, abandoned but loyal
however I don’t get why the last episode was teasing about their marriage but they didn’t get married in the end? sure I don’t mind not having that cliche wedding scene but why tease it only for them to just leave things hanging lol

you're very welcome ahahaha now i'm stuck at ep 26 thinking if i should still continue on........... i hate leaving things unfinished but it's quite exasperating watching even aft they got tgt lol
