i like how poetic the show is, such that they got to know each other in the spring and got together in the next spring - but can someone refresh my memory, was it 1 or 2 springs later LOL i lost track of time just watching their friendship blossom into a romantic relationship hahaha

Just realized that this drama is adapted from the same writer of the web novel for Hidden Love, so no wonder the names of the characters overlap (e.g. sang yan and duan jiaxu). felt so strange hearing their names but acted by diff actors lol i wonder if in the web novel world they are actually connected?

i felt so cheated by their ending though T.T

am i the only one who enjoyed watching the secondary couple lol... it was such an interesting dynamic

yeah agreed with most of the replies here - as a friend, you'd still hope your friend wouldn't have to "suffer" with a single dad partner since he has a kid and as the prospective partner, you'd have to take care of the kid too, and have an early headstart without asking for it. nevertheless i think she'd come around soon after seeing how kind eunho is and how his daughter gets along SO WELL with her!!!

also oof just realized that han ji min is playing the role of the FL falling for a single dad again (previously seen in 'one spring night' too) and the same societal perspective of that being frowned upon is reflected again... really tragic that korean society seems to be quite hard on single parents - that they're a burden and of a lower social status just because of their child(ren) :/

lol unfortunately i think this is quite likely, there'll always be some dilemma/challenge that will come in their way shortly after the main couple gets together, the usual kdrama romcom trope ><

Yes true, she was so obsessively controlling of her partners, that she lost it when jeongwon started to drift from her. however you got me thinking - is it because it's a marriage contract and thus that gives her the assurance that nothing can come out of it, hence that gave her a sense of control? i'll need to refresh my memory as to whether the contract couple are allowed to extend the contract duration or convert it to a real marriage though...

i still don't get why seo yeon chose in ji as jeong won's contract wife - she pointed to that past incident where in ji offered him some cheap slippers at his graduation ceremony (after coming from the graveyard) but so what? is it that in ji felt like a rival to her then and thus made her feel more strongly attracted to him? like she felt jealous that someone cared for jeong won and thus she took out a nicer pair of shoes for him, and that made her feel useful to him? it felt so warped and superficial, and also for seo yeon to remember in ji just from that 1 superficial encounter after all these years felt a bit too unbelievable.

i second this!! there was so much built up mystery about the trunk, the marriage contract company, the murder... but in the end it was all pushed to the periphery and the main plot became the 2 dysfunctional couples. but yes, thumbs up to the main leads for such a compelling relationship, two broken souls mending each other's wounds and destined to be tgt from the start!

As for the second point, i think both options would make sense anyway, as they both save each other at some point in their lives

only a few questions:

1. Why did the murderer (kim yeongsu) keep targeting the FL? i thought the writers would reveal his motivation after a few eps but it was never mentioned - only up till the 2nd last ep where in the last time travel, he targeted another girl instead (the ML's stalker) - so i assume he just randomly kills ppl for no reason? if so, that's pretty unconvincing lol

2. did the ML really commit suicide in the OG timeline due to depression or did the killer disguise it as such? after finding out abt the ML's sad background (that he had a crush on her first waaaay back but she never knew of his existence other than mistaking him for a deliveryman; then loving her silently; then saving her from the incident which costed her legs - but her never knowing who her saviour was as she'd rather die than live on crippled) - he could have felt immense unfounded guilt and sadness and thus triggered suicidal thoughts. his supposed suicide scene in the OG scene was of him at the hotel/at home and he received a call, then the scene cuts off and then they show him plunging into the water and news reports of his suicide. however, in another timeline, the phone call was from the killer and he got killed there instead of the supposed suicide. sooooo was he really unhappy in the OG timeline, and these time travels restored the FL's memory of him (i.e. she saved him instead) and brought them tgt?

what an emotional rollercoaster of a drama this has been ;_____; superb writing and the chemistry between the leads were so on point!!

yea i totally agree with you on this... she was cheating on her bf emotionally by staying 'friends' with ji ho. i guess sometimes such complicated and toxic stuff entices the audience (including us help) ><

just started this drama after Love Next Door and SITR and curious what people thought abt Ji Ho flirting with her in the first episode despite knowing she was attached? Although he stopped himself thereafter by saying he wouldn't be comfortable being friends/acquaintances with her after she offered... the fact that he still made some advances at first was conflicting >< i know many comments here say life is complicated but i still feel it's not right to hit on someone who is attached...
