currently at ep 17 and it's going well but on deeper thought, i can't help but feel that the ML (haoming) is actually psychotic bc how sane can he be to let his son grow up all these to think that they are brothers?! i pity his son or "younger brother" whose parents are actually his grandparents, and brother is actually his father!! wth that is some trauma that will take a while to undo/heal from.........
i hope the later episodes show the ML's challenges in taking this path (like perhaps his son reminds him of his deceased gf and thus avoids spending too much time with him??) bc he seems very nonchalant towards his son all these while - it was more tolerable when i thought they were siblings, but for a father-son relationship, omg no
also idk why no one else is saying this but zhang yuxi is absolutely gorgeous in this tho?? her charm is too much to handle in every scene she is in lol
wait did the main leads just get married impulsively halfway thru the drama when they have yet to even get to know each other's traumas lol ded. the chemistry is there for sure and they defo have potential but why is the writer doing this T.T
very rushed ending as echoed by many commenters here... i can't get over how bongsu simply just walked out of gyeonwu's body after untangling that 'mystery' or forgotten memory that he imagined having a friend by his side in his dying moments?? i thought that it was a given for the spirit to entirely possess a human after killing 100 victims... too easily swept under the rug lol
also just to clarify - yeomhwa had always tormented gyeonwu and his grandma (or torment gyeonwu thru his grandma) so that he would be weak and be a good host for an evil spirit?
he’s amazing. it’s just hard to find words for his prowess. i do see some mannerisms that are habitual, that…
totally agreed!! the age gap was still ooook since he does have a bit of a youthful vibe + the comedic scenes made him a little more immature and younger lol. but yes, how he morphs into each of his characters, i'm just mindblown. i just came here from 'our movie', such a 180 degree difference and hence soooo mindblown. some actors just stick to roles that they're familiar with (and no fault there since they are good at it) but i love how NGM challenges himself with a variety of roles.
They were already married when we saw them in ep 24. We got to see their life together as a married couple. Ying…
i don't recall them being officially married when they were living together though... but ok i guess that would make sense. but if they were really married then, then why did he wait so long to get her a ring and do the wedding prep. the 'tea ceremony' wasn't an official one imo, he just happened to visit her parents and since he was eager to be part of her family, he used that opportunity to initiate himself into her fam LOL
the main couple got ENGAGED but we never got to see how the ML proposed and how they even ended up living tgt before the engagement/marriage?? it literally fast forwarded from him appearing at her dorm before graduation to after their graduation, post engagement. felt so rushed and for what... later on he gives her a ring and i guess we assume they got engaged without much flair probably to save money and pay off his debts? the writers did us bad in this last ep...
Namgoong Min absolutely showed his true skills in acting in this one - melodrama, romcom, suspense. man. i am absolutely mindblown by how he can be doing a comedic scene and next minute it's some intense betrayal scene - super natural transition, crazy talented actor. his comic scenes are absolutely LOL also
can someone explain to me what you got out of the last ep which is circular in nature - that it ended with their dialogue of filming the first scene of the movie? at the start of ep 12, the 2 also faded into the background and it became ep 1. the FL said that life starts after the end of the movie... i have my own understanding but curious what you guys think!
i think all those who are hating on the drama bc of the writing from episode 16 onwards are not melodrama lovers/appreciators... while things took a turn, i believe the plot from ep 15-16 onwards is necessary to drive the drama, if not it would be too simple and unrealistic... just my opinion!! currently at episode 25 and enjoying it for all the good chemistry and tension between the lead couple :)
i thought li xun assaulted fang zhijing pretty badly such that his left eye was removed and thus partially blinded? How is it that 3 years later, FZJ looks perfectly normal and eyesight completely restored lol... was hoping to see an eye patch as a sign of his grudge against li xun forever lol
the perfect lighthearted and fluffy romcom, i love how it was well paced and not draggy at all too!! but one thing i dont get is why didnt the ML give the FL the key necklace (the one he confessed to her with when they first met)? there was a scene in the last ep showing him opening the box containing it with his lock necklace, so i was anticipating him giving it to her again for closure... but nope he decided to give her a boring diamond necklace lol????
ok perhaps he wanted to keep the lock and key necklaces to remember their first meeting and failed confession but i thought it would be more impactful and meaningful to give it to her instead of the diamond necklace lol...
