he's an undercover agent so him being grown makes sense but how the hell would he blend in...i'm mean he def doesn't…
Maybe it’ll be something like in My Strange Hero, where Yoo Seung Ho’s character went back to highschool as an adult student? Like a failing, repeating, held back/gap year student…
Even if it’s a comedy drama, the characters are NIS, they would realise that an adult could not convincingly cosplay as a teenager without raising suspicions.
As long as it’s not like Angry Mom, because that drama really asked me stretch my suspension of disbelief with nobody batting an eye at Kim Hee Sun pretending to be a teenager….
i think it was not very clear who was the male lead in this show. basing on how the actors are credited, yoon…
No the male lead was definitely Hyun Min (he was a far more senior established well-known actor compared to Ji Hoon when this aired, and that often means (particularly in kmedia) that he would not play second fiddle and be listed lower in the cast line up. So MDL isn’t wrong for listing him above SJH.
Also if you’ve watched the drama, we clearly follow his character’s journey more closely. He has more depth, he’s more balanced- not a plain white knight, he has more angsty emotional scenes, himself or his point of view is often shown first, he shares many traits of the common ML of his era - the cranky rich guy in a good suit with a soft heart, the FL falls for him first, pursuing him through most of the drama when most often actual SL’s aren’t even spared a second glance by FLs and the story doesn’t end at just the FL finding her husband for a happy ever after like the premise or 1st episode introduction suggests, but only after finishing Hyun Min’s character’s arc (the typical SL would’ve been left to wallow in his defeat in the race to win the FL’s heart and be booked on a flight out of the continent).
So yeah, he’s the male lead. Just not the guy who gets the girl. Besucase yes, in this drama, it is one of the few times the plain nice guy SL wins the girl. The drama pulls a bait and switch sort of like Reply 88 and Start Up, though promotional material, drama poster and Nam Joo Hyuk being more famous back then gave away the endgame from the beginning.
Did they have dye Joo Won’s hair orange tho? That is not a good colour for Asian men. Makes them look so washed…
nope just seen the stills, which don’t look bad;
trailers often mislead my expectations one way or another and I prefer to go in blind for best impact with plot twists (otherwise I’d guess half the plotlines with just teasers😅)
I really liked it, but what really hurt me was how they were displaying a victim of suicide as a bad/selfish person.…
Some suicides can be a spur of moment impulsive decision.
Which I think applies to the ML here. He wasn’t actively contemplating suicide. Rather he had been struggling to find success in his career for so long and that’s all he could think about. Then he assumed his girlfriend was cheating on him (just because he saw her getting out of a guy’s car), dumped her due to his low self esteem and then when he got booted out of his apartment and his belongings drenched he took to extreme measures from the stress of the worst day of his life.
He did need help and a little bit of perspective so his life didn’t feel so meaningless. Which I guess he did find some perspective and the strength to live by learning from and living his own mother’s life.
Kdrama godly characters often tend to blame the suicidal persons and call it a “sin” that requires punishment in “eternal hell”. That was also in the other suicide prevention drama ‘Tomorrow’. It’s a frustrating theme.
Yeah I find using your own multiple accounts or bribing friends to upvote, like, heart whatever on social media as pretty pathetic but I can see the appeal of faking approval as a means to manipulate other people.
Oh it’s possible to make your watchlist private ? I’m a technology inept older gen z so although I’ve visited this site for years I don’t know much about how it works😅
I’ll look into how save the lists or make them private, thanks
You’re boring too thanks for randomly coming to insult me on a different comment thread.
No I don’t know who etoks or whoever else is. I have my watch history saved on an unverified second account and I’d prefer to keep it on mdl for ease of convenience.
Is YOUR second account “lo_ve” ? Considering you are bothering to come fight me on a different thread on their honour ? Now that would be pretty lame.
They are not together in the first photo, those are two separate shots, merged
I honestly don’t care about celebrities love lives. They’re strangers I don’t know personally so what they do or who they date doesn’t affect me. The most I do is wish them well if they decide to get married, because marriages are atleast less likely to be PR stunts.
So really I have nothing to comment on some celeb’s relationship.
I do care about what kind of stuff the media feeds and encourages the public the on. So stuff like justifying stalkery behaviour in the name of “journalism”, or invasion of privacy or using personal life as a PR stunt or for publicity. Yeah I don’t agree on stuff like that.
Also, my point still stands on poor misleading translations on a “news” article. I’m not sure it applies to anywhere on this article but it does apply to other stuff peddled by lo_ve.

maybe, but they’re not doing a very good job
I wasn’t expecting this site to repost low quality tabloid articles. They could’ve easily waited to repost an article that actually had confirmation from the artists side for example.
And they should probably have a read through what they copy translate to see if it makes sense for an English reader and either avoid or fix incorrect misleading translations (there’s another recent article from them that’s mistranslated friend to brother)
Posting low quality copy pastes for money or other rewards isn’t really a job imo
Stuff like this makes me distrust any news on MDL. The "brother" should have been in quotes since it most likely…
I was giving benefit of doubt to this so-called “writer” before but now I’m seeing a pattern. This lo_ve has a track record for regurgitating low quality articles or running a basic google translate to copy paste anything for clicks.
Gays have literally been killed in Palestine…

But he’s just picked up a new drama and finally getting ready to make a comeback after his military service hiatus!

I don’t mind spoilers for the webtoon. Was the ending still the same in terms of what message it wants to convey?
(I know he lives out his mom’s life in the webtoon too and wins a second chance for his own life?)
But quite a few drama watchers don’t agree with the “lay more guilt on suicidal person; don’t be selfish” idea of a suicide prevention message.
even MDL is a bit much sometimes

though I doubt she’s addressing that lost relationship in her statement here 😅
