eh I honestly thought that was a PR stunt relationship for promotion of their drama together
I wasn’t following K celebs back then so I only found out about some very short lived “famous on-screen to rl couple” a few years later.
Just the timing and casual short lived nature gave me an impression that it was more or less PR lol.
Reminded me of the lead pair from Queen In Hyun’s Man. The dude confessed (public confession🙄) to the FL at their drama press conference, enlisted a month later and then they “broke up” before he finished his service.
They are not together in the first photo, those are two separate shots, merged
I just had a look at what MDL had posted for that relationship and turns out it’s this same “lo_ve” that has a reputation for copy pasting low quality articles with a google translator….
The images there made me crack up again. Same Dispatch sneak paparazzi shots of two barely recognisable people in different places at different times that apparently prove they are “dating”…..
What was the deal with that couple being in the news anyway?
I suppose GayinYourArea has turned out right and this couple? did break up by end of October
(I’m just here because of MDL’s “lo_ve” posting more dispatch paparazzi low quality articles - currently some comments are comparing Lee Jae Wook & Karina to this.)
mine as well , i haven't watched anything hit those highs since , granted i fell off watching stuff a yr or so…
*long post warning, sorry*
I think you’d enjoy Flower of Evil {2020}– married (power) couple who are parents; the ML has psychological issues too; thriller romance drama as the cop wife re-evaluates everything she thought she knew about her husband when he is connected to a serial killing case and good chemistry between Lee Joon Ki and Moon Chae Won
Someday or One Day {2019 Taiwan} — This one’s a trippy time-travel drama centered on a love story that starts with the FL grieving her 2 years dead boyfriend, unable to move on with her life and craving to see him again. But instead comes across doppelgängers in a different time period. It got a sort of sequel movie later with the same cast and a kdrama remake last year. (There’s also a bonus 1 minute postscript scene on YT for the original the TW drama).
If you’d just like to watch a good recent Ji Sung drama again, theres The Devil Judge {2021}. He doesn’t exactly have a loveline but a fun love-hate dynamic with the villainess and good chemistry with the younger male lead. It’s a dystopian court drama with no actual romance for any character.
+Some light romcoms:
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo {2016}—(college campus setting). What’s wrong with Secretary Kim {2018}—(CEO x assistant office romance). Strong Woman Do Bong Soon {2017}—(CEO office romance trope again but with superpowers; not much of a coherent plot but Park Hyung Shik and Park Bo Young are just really cute). Crash Landing on You {2020}—(two North-South couples that meet in a North Korean outskirts village. The leads Son Ye Jin/Hyun Bin got married in real life after this & have a kid now too). Lost Romance {2020 Taiwan}—(CEO romance trope again; fantasy genre where the MCs enter a fictional CEO romance novel; LOTS of a references to other dramas with some re-enactment of famous kdrama scenes; full of tropes as the drama is essentially made to mock all the common tropes found in romance fiction but it doesn’t hold back on using those cliches themselves; sensual chemistry btw the leads👀).
[All recommendations I’ve mentioned here have a happy ending for atleast the lead pairings. If you don’t mind heartbreaking romances then start with Youth of May {2021} which is set in the 1980 Gwangju Uprising in SK and The Red Sleeve {2021} a fictional Joseon-era sageuk drama based on the real life love story of King Jeongjo with his royal concubine].
As a relative newcomer to kdramas (2019/2020) in my eyes it's kinda like there are two kdrama eras: pre ca. 2016-2017…
I’ve seen some in Taiwanese dramas but I find those much more tastefully done love making scenes. They’re not quite explicit.
This was more like the American pseudo porn scenes you see in Western dramas. It’s popped up in some other recent Kdramas too.
Plus the scene in Glory was between a pair of villains. And that drama’s villains are generally pathetic disgusting lowlife scums. I definitely did not need to see them going at it to be told the characters occasionally hook up.

The squid game thing doesn’t look my cup of tea either.
Though the school bullying-revenge drama Glory wasn’t bad. (there’s some brutal bullying scenes but there appears to be an actual real life case where a kid was burned with a curling iron and worse violence than the drama depicts; and 2-3 unnecessary scenes one of sex and another nudity which I find vulgar and unlike a kdrama - they could easily imply both without the camera panning to the actress’s boobs….)
Yep, 2015 is new to me as well, since I started watching dramas at around 2005?BTW, I gotta admit, that 90's are…
Wow you really know your dramas huh?
Thank you for sharing this of bit drama history! And for the recommendations!
Also I suppose a big thank you to MBC for starting the mini series trend for kdramas; that’s been one of the biggest selling points for its global attraction.
It doesn’t matter what another article on another website states.
The crap that MDL allowed this lo_ve to copy paste here says that’s ‘LJW’s agency is in the process of finding out the truth to these paparazzi rumours’ and ‘Karina’s side has made no comments at all yet.’
That’s called unconfirmed gossip.
And that’s exactly the kind of bullshit that leads to bad outcomes and encourages harassment of famous people just because they are famous. And in the case of false guesses leads to lawsuits which can have a negative outcome for this website.
Also have you seen the pictures included in this article lol? Like pray tell me which one of these sneak shots is meant to prove these two people are secretly dating?
STOP this blaming MDL for it please read first lineOn February 27, media outlet Dispatch released an exclusive…
We can most definitely blame MDL or anyone else for helping to spread unconfirmed rumours.
You wouldn’t like if I wrote about how I think you oppa_ are cheating on your wife on my own online tabloid website and then MDL, copy pasted that here as an exclusive, saying “reportedly” “MDL’s own user oppa_ is cheating on his pregnant wife and planning to run away with 2 million dollars cash after selling their house without her knowledge” “here’s a shot of his car at night as evidence to support our claims” “source: pomegranatedispatch.com”
Meanwhile you may not even be married yet, or for that matter, a guy. But mission character assassination is a success and everyone on MDL thinks you are a cheating married dude because MDL decided to repost some dumb trashy article.
nah I saw some fan comment on a random actors profile page talking about how that dude claimed to read comments on their MDL profile supposedly
eh, bad is bad. Nearby or far away. Why should we encourage this kind of shitpost here, it’ll bring no good. And half the time, rumours have no substance. This couple might be real, the next one might turn out to be undisclosed cousins or something. How embarrassing
he wasn't brother, he was his friend in need. the title is wrong and misleading.
I’m guessing the writer here likely ran the article through a translator, copy pasted and didn’t realise or care that 친한 형 means friend, not an actual brother
They are not together in the first photo, those are two separate shots, merged
Right like all the pics are so random. How’s it supposed to even support their speculation?
They’re shots of them in separate places at separate times and the last pic with the car, even the one dude is unrecognisable. Like it could be my dad in a baseball cap and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference 😂
Anyway, let’s keep that stuff off this website. I don’t need rumours peddled as “news” here and have this site be shut down or something. I’d lose my watch history😅
I'm sorry but why people are complaining the MDL writer here it's just news Article and it's shared on every plateform…
It’s not a news article. Nothing about it is anything like a news article.
It’s a cheap tabloid clickbait piece that stalked some famous people and wrote up a gossipy rumour speculation about the nature of their relationship.
And MDL reposted that crap.
The artists in question haven’t even made a confirmation or denial regarding these paparazzi rumours before this lo_ve posted this here.
It’s one thing when the people in question decide to share a personal detail of their life and another when paps or fans decide to stalk them and either find out something or imagine some scenario and share it to the world.
And what reason does this mdl writer lo_ve have to copy paste a bunch of paparazzi pics speculating someone’s relationship when both the pics or relationship are clearly not taken or revealed with consent ??
Just the timing and casual short lived nature gave me an impression that it was more or less PR lol.

Main drama poster isn’t particularly striking either

there must’ve been something to really convince her dad that his daughter was a piece of chicken meat now

Atleast get in a shot with this supposed couple in the same frame! Or even at the same location if not at the same time of the day.

Why’d she even step inside a weird purple cupboard? Was she hoping to find Narnia or something
