Idk if the drama has said anything about Samsung, but the original webtoon author obviously took inspiration from a real life entrepreneur

I watched this drama years ago, forgot this dude was even in it but I don’t think I remember liking really anyone except Yeo Jin Goo

However your supposed physical age makes no difference on this conversation or your surprise on how young this fictional grandfather is.

Samsung’s actual founder had his first child at 19 and I hear this webtoon was loosely modelled after the Samsung group.

My own uncle had his first child at 21 and he was from a younger generation than this drama’s grandfather. He was not even from a rural or uneducated or poor background. It was a completely normal marriage from respected and higher middle class families living in the nicer part of a big city.

Regarding 21st century kids, I know of people who have been engaged before they even graduate highschool. Regardless of their rich enough backgrounds or modern city dwellers.

Also the real life ages of the actors portraying the roles has no relevance. The casting directors would have made their choices based on who can act the part well and who would bring in more viewers. SJK and the FL are almost 40 year old currently playing college freshman in the drama. And most school based shows have actors in their mid to late twenties playing teenagers.

Would you be voicing the same concern if the positions were switched and PHS was the dad with a baby?

Lol you need to learn more about the world you live in kiddo. Just consider the ages of your own grandparents or great grandparents

And it’s not just that the older generations married young and had a lot of kids. Even in present day there are demographics that marry young- late teens to early twenties and chug out a train of kids per year. Easily making them grandparents whilst they are still young themselves.

If this list is meant for these actors performance in their 2022 dramas and not overall favourites, I think the drama title should be included

What if I dislike both in the choice given? 😭 or just didn’t watch either. Then the next choice comes and it’s my top 2 and gets eliminated in early round

I still remember random average American shows that got annexed after terrible cliffhangers for the utterly incomplete stories

It’s a good drama. Until like the last 10 minutes of the show which screwed it over and erased everything it build up for a clickbait unpromised “season 2”.

If they had used the last few episodes building up a conclusion and actually ending the story then it would have received a lot of high ratings, regardless of other flaws.

It’s not just an open ending, it’s an incomplete story with seemingly no intent to complete it.

They should’ve just stuck to the plotline with Moon Jung Hee, instead of that charged with prostitution of a minor guy who plays the same villain everywhere.

But if you can ignore the last few episodes and the ending, have good creative imagination and make up your own ending, it’s an exciting watch for anyone who likes the main cast and action in a high quality production

Err the actor for the SML, Lee Jong Hyun was part of the big Burning Sun scandal…. Dude was watching videos of sexual assaults and spycams in the Kakao chatroom that was disparaging those victims

Have really liked PHS in his some of his roles and PSH is a new mother. Parenthood can do wonders to people so maybe she’ll have a new charm or maturity in her roles.

Isn’t it just weight gain for the role/recent military life experience ?

I would love for them to make accounting look fun! The job gets hated on so needlessly and called boring all the time when without it businesses, economies and households would never survive.

Looked up the “scandal” and wow, he has nothing to apologise for. Unless he’s secretly best friends with that bar owner and asked him to operate illegally, him being in the wrong place at the wrong time is not his fault lol.

Eh? Isn’t Lee Sung Min one of the actual main leads in this drama? The poster is of him and SJK. And prior to release of the drama I had only seen the “family portrait” poster with SJK standing out of place as his butler version. Didn’t even know this drama had romance or a “FL” until I saw the mdl whining comments after the first week.

I thought the person who ordered the hit was the granddaughter. You know, that cousin sister who sided with the corrupt manager guy and met the eldest grandson, telling him she knew about Song Joong Ki going abroad to collect the money.

We barely saw her teenage version, and she has yet to come back as adult version in the new timeline.

I don’t know what he’s saying exactly but I get the gist from “pedda graphs- paragraphs?” “scroll” “10 seconds” that he’s trying to say it takes 10 seconds just to scroll past your long wall of text post even if one is not reading it… 😭😂😂

Unfortunately these days it is true that a show being on Netflix makes a big difference.

Whatever is distributed and Promoted by Netflix gets a lot more hype than if it is available on a different more obscure platform.

Of course this has no relevance when comparing quality of a drama and those not available on Netflix still find good success but many people have turned to OTP and of that market, Netflix holds a considerably large share.

And I’m here for him (and the interesting premise) not Song Joong Ki (I like him too, no hate).
