RR, aside from having a Hallyu star and a time travel plot is exactly the kind of provocative chaebol politics…
I thought he was quite charming when I first saw him playing as a King/ warm older brother/ the reliable brother-in-law in King2Hearts.
In the long run what matters is your ability to act and command the screen as an actor. Just fitting the beauty standards of a culture and trend will only make you a āstarā for a short time.
Lee Sung Min broke my heart this episode. But then again heās been breaking my heart since King2Hearts. Iām glad heās getting recognition by the newer international fans ā”

Because it's 2000's at this point ,she's either not born yet or just a little kid
Look again at that family portrait. https://kisskh.at/photos/X00qg_3 When is that portrait from again? Thatās right. From the 1990s. It was on the family house wall a couple episodes ago before the wedding shot replaced it. (ep 8 at about 34 mins, LSM stares at it thinking about his youngest grandson being praised by his competitor)
For whatever crazy reason the adult version is played by a 1995 liner. (Just like the newly married villainess is played by a 1994 liner even though she is married to the eldest grandson and should be older than the ML)

Well itās worth it to watch for him then. Heās receiving plenty of praises, even from people who likely started watching for SJK.
His character may be the most developed. Thereās a consistent hint of his humanity and affection even though he is a ruthless powerful businessman. Not sure if this due to LSMās portrayal or because the character is slightly modelled after the Samsung founder. Cause I think the original source is also pretty plot driven.
(Thereās a dialogue in ep 1 or 2 by LSM asking and explaining to a chef how many rice grains there are in some food, which is a direct quote/situation of Samsungās Lee Byung Chul)
Because it's 2000's at this point ,she's either not born yet or just a little kid
I gave up on the cast ages making sense since I saw SJK cosplaying a 19/20 year old. It was obvious and awkward at first, now Iām used to it. All of the real ages of the cast are out of sync and ironic in relation to their characters.
Letās just say that this chaebol family has access to some high quality botox š And then Korean genes
Because it's 2000's at this point ,she's either not born yet or just a little kid
of course sheās born already lol. She wasnāt a kid in 2022. The ML is the youngest grandchild, thereās no one after him.
She may be a max of ~3 years younger than eldest grandson. Her teenage version was shown for a split second during the late 80s era. Sheās older than MLās older brother and younger than eldest grandson.
Oh yeah the OCN intros. That itself is suitable for the darker genres.
Idk how it works in Korea but if you buy tvn subscription, donāt you get all its sister channels too? That would be ideal instead of asking customers to pay individually for each channel.
Donāt know and donāt really care about the American show but in terms of the title here it does fit a little…
I wasnāt expecting much from the drama and wasnāt all that impressed to hear that it had a second season confirmed before the first even aired. But I promised to try it out for Gong Seung Yeon.
(GSY is gorgeous too. But sheās not as popular as Suzy for example that would draw mass crowds. So really itās a matter of popularity than prettiness or talent at some point)
I like crime genre so I guess I donāt mind it. Maybe I wouldāve found it exhausting if it was only them assisting in tragic accidents or medical emergencies (not a fan of medical genre). Besides I donāt think a āpolice stationā would be much involved without a crime or missing person.
The corruption plot, well thatās a staple of Kdramas, about as routine as male & female leads ending up together romantically. Itās not like itās unrealistic anyway. Everywhere you look, youāll find corruption at low and top levels. (Example, the US, a first world developed country and self-claimed leader of the world likes to elect pedophiles as presidents) But I am missing the firefighters team and Bulldozer in ep 8, so I wish they donāt spend too much screentime on the office talks for the corrupted old men.

If you like time travel or want to have a look at Korean economy in the 90ās/early 2000ās or have ever wished you or your family had invested in something way back but missed the opportunity because you didnāt know any betterā¦
Itās basically a wish fulfilment drama. With very high production value. Lee Sung Min is owning his role and gives life to the drama. The others are not bad either. But itās heavily plot driven, sort of a makjang. The young ML is pretty indifferent most of the time, maybe a max of 3 minutes (for grieving a parent) or 0.3 seconds are dedicated to showing his emotional state, the rest he drinks coffee, smirks and screws over his rich family. Like the Vincenzo role, so I guess if you liked that, youāll like this. (But half the drama isnāt dedicated to slapstick comedy here, just the normal moments of comic relief).
Personally I like this better than Vincenzo. Thereās no whiplash from over the top slapstick to torture porn horror. I love the older male lead. And I enjoy time travel plots, regardless of quality.
Subway has been MIA far too long hasnāt it? I think I like it better than Kopiko too.(Is this bias from liking…
Subway doesnāt have the best track record either but they have scored some pretty good placements. This comeback wasnāt bad at all. Poor guy kept getting tofu that he obediently ate, so a sandwich was a treat.
Just due to one drama? I love OCN and I liked the ability to find my favourite genres in one place. Granted it doesnāt get as high ratings as tvN canā¦
WTH was JHG doing, hosing off the heli?! I mean, it's not the pilots' fault that the villain is scum, but they're…
Lol the plot armour is high in this one. Thus you get villains wasting time observing or cooking instead of striking immediately. Or the heli scene.
I was actually more concerned about the hundreds of civilians in the city. The helicopter, I could believe was operated by the villainās goons so if they are hurt itās not a loss. But if that thing crashed, a lot of innocents would die/be injured/lose homes or workplaces/cost of infrastructureā¦

Is it a direct sequel? The last one had some whack ending iirc. Is it still as cringey? And has the mc improved in acting?
Grandpa and grandson had a nice bond in the original. He wanted to leave him the company and everything and liked him as a kid. Was never his enemy
