Those who are wondering why this comment section is crawling with negative comments, please don't be deterred by them. Part of the fun in watching this drama is trying to understand the story. Finding the writer's answers to perceived plot holes is one of the steps in achieving that understanding. Those who were not being able to find her answers are just venting their frustration at not fully getting the drama. A lot of viewers were able to, and quietly enjoyed it.
I suggest you to read the reviews, not just look the ratings. You'll see some reviewers admitted this show has…
Although I am not one of those who admitted this show has many flaws but still gave a 10, I will attempt to answer for them. There is such a grade as A+. It is better than the best grade the teacher expects to give for a class. A lot of viewers of this masterpiece did not expect a drama this good. I'm one of them. For us, it is an A+ or 11/10. But because of a few flaws, they gave it an A, or 10.
this comment section was besieged by a few vocal haters. it appears the majority preferred to voice their opinion…
and we heard you the first time. the nagging was unnecessary. it just prompted the fans of the drama to keep on defending it so other commenters, like @mali, would not think it such a bad drama. It is, in fact, a masterpiece
the time-freezes were caused by the flute being cut into two. since the flute became whole again, the eternal…
i watch each episode at least twice coz i miss a lot while reading the subtitles :) Lee Gon said in episode 13, when he told Tae-eul about the time-freeze, "only half its power is being used, so the dimensions are falling apart"
LR was shot in the leg in episode 15. I'm sure TE would know how to take advantage of that wound. Also, TE took…
It seems you did not understand my last comment: the rule that, with the cut pieces of the flute, LG and LL were "taken to the moment when they wish to save themselves", had been there from the beginning because that was already observed in episode 1, then also in episodes 14 and 16. The yoyo boy was the vessel the drama used to impart information like this to the viewers, just as Yoda and Obi-wan were used in Star Wars to impart messages about the force. So when rules are laid down, you complain, and when rules are ambiguous, you also complain. sigh (:

- it needs the whole or two pieces of flute to travel back in time or any time. I don't understand this question, "why does Lee Gon do it when Tae Eul didn't travel with him all the way to the end?" - when the flute was in two pieces, yoyo boy explained before that the bearer of each piece can go back in time to save himself. In episode 16, Lee Gon went back to exactly the same time as in episode 1. The only reason the flute was not halved in episode 16 was because young LG held back after screaming, "I will try!" I think the flute, which led him to Cheonjongo in the first place, was the one that held him back because it knew the savior LG would be able to stop Lee Lim. In episode 1, rather than let LL have the whole flute, the flute preferred to be cut into two. - the rest of your questions were plain nitpicking that can be answered like above. No wonder you did not enjoy the drama. Nitpicking is exhausting. Using the imagination is part of the fun in movies like this. I bet you also didn't enjoy Star Wars with its major plot-holes, e.g. how did Anakin have a ghost force? if Luke was supposed to be hidden while he was growing up, why was he given to Anakin's family?

so i wonder why a lot of people became totally immersed in this drama? people like me who were marveling at the symbolism of a plant sprouting and the wind sweeping her hair at a place where wind was not supposed to exist? people who were wondering whether the rules in the gate have been changed and why?

so i missed the "2" in "a 2-day-old wound". but perhaps it was 55 hours in which case it should have been "a 2.3-day-old wound"? the point is, if the wound was not supposed to bother him, if it was not significant, the director would have removed the bandage

you totally misunderstood what i said. the sprouting of the flower did not cause the gun to fire. It was a symbol of the realization of the hope that caused TE to keep on firing. no wonder you didn't appreciate this drama. it needs one to appreciate poetic moments and poems even. it is to be watched not just with the eyes, ears and mind, it needs to be watched with the heart as well - full immersion - no watching out for PPL and other things to criticize

The yoyo boy is shown saying, "I thought this would break." A seemingly teenage version of him continued, "But it sprouted instead. " They could have meant her or any of LG, JY and TE, Instead of them breaking, they all showed bravery and hope.

Her bravery and hope caused the gun to fire, the same hope that made her plant those seeds from Corea. Lee Lim taunted her saying, "it is quite entertaining to watch how foolishly hopeful you are". There was supposed to be no wind and air inside the gate but because of her hope, they came to be in the gate. Just before her gun fired, her imaginary flower plant sprouted in Korea and wind swept her hair.
And he's not eternal. And he also give up to be king or monarch.Future queen is not queen anymore.:-D
yeah, those aging hands confused me. but eternity is much longer than a human life. they most probably outlived their human forms. one would need a different life form anyway to be able to travel through the universe. the human form would not be able to travel through wormholes, black holes, stars, etc. As a scientist I'm sure LG would be interested in these

he started walking towards TE only after she tried to shoot him and the gun didn't fire. and as a cop, i'm sure TE would know how to take advantage of a day-old wound
And he's not eternal. And he also give up to be king or monarch.Future queen is not queen anymore.:-D
In episode 15, it was said that anybody who goes through the obelisks of King Haejong would attain eternity. LG and TE have both gone through it. They became eternal. With the power of Manpasikjeok, they can do a lot of things, e.g. go back in time to rearrange the past so TE can be born in Corea and be queen. Or maybe they'd realize that being king for like, 60 or 70 years, with its confining rules and intrigues would be incomparable to being able to travel through space and time.
So in the end My man LR did not even put up a fight to save his life...whether in 1994 or 2020 especially against…
Theories on why Lee Gon, Tae-eul and Jo Yeong did not lose their memories:
1. The yoyo boy and his older self (?) said, "The door will close and only the memories will remain... Should I break it? Or just let it be?"
2. The three of them did not restart from 1994. They came from 2020, so they already have memories of what happened up to that point. LG and JY went back to 1994 then back to 2020. Tae-eul just stayed in the gate until April 25, 2020
3. Lee Gon has the whole Manpasikjeok, so he can travel to any space and time without losing his memory
