now that i am not so tired and reread a few chapters i would say chapter 65-68 is really the mess. Good news is there is no reference to the Algan Republic in the drama so that mess will stay out of the drama.

I agree somewhat. The phone call scenes are the worse for me. Ironic given the show's title. But I like reading what the show also did not explain. Both have their good points.

Also, please take note scriptwriters...this is how you do a romance thriller. One that actually makes sense and builds the story not like the random serial killer in half of the romantic kdramas the last few years....

In the trailer, there is a scene a car is rushing towards him, she runs to him and screams his name then...I think that will be when they reveal it...the tropes are the same really if you look closely but delivered in a smart way

I know I will be crucified for not using the spoiler tags with this but it is one of my favorite moments from the novel.
Zhuang Jie felt that he was a bit reckless tonight, so she took the scarf and prepared to go down, when she heard him say again: "Zhuang Jie, let me be your lover."
Zhuang Jie stopped, "What?"
"I - Chen Maidong, will be your lover."
"I will never stop you from returning to Shanghai." Chen Maidong said, "I am willing to be your lover."
"Why?" Zhuang Jie asked.
Chen Maidong leaned on his motorcycle, looking up at the stars in the sky.
"If you become a lover, I can allow you to come and go freely, and I will be free as well."
I think it was Chapter 23....it settles the whole Shanghai debate in my opinion They are both adults when they started their arrangement.
Will they show this in the drama??? Maybe too late now.
