tv dramas can also be netflix dramas. many kdramas air simultaneously on both korean cable & netflix.

it's their fan culture. fighting over achievements. don't know the full context of who or what started it this time around, but knowing yuanbaos they mostly just defend him. czy is basically a punching bag for all these semi big fandoms, they constantly go after him unprovoked.

what I will say though, from my own experience with the tff fandom here on mdl, they have vehemently refused to accept that hl benefitted tff in anyway and would rather put down the achievements of hl instead. can't even begin to imagine how much worse it would be on the c-side.

in liqin's case, she's been in the industry a long time so shes definitely known but she's not exactly considered a-list, shes also visibly older looking than her age which isnt really appealing for the audience when she's paired with younger looking mls in romance settings. still though we're thankful fated hearts production team seems to be fairly strong. ruibin may have his flaws but he's a very competent director so there's hope atleast for pacing/editing.

One thing I've recently realized is that both leads have to be somewhat known/popular for the level of production to be high.
twot suffered the fate of neglect & a horrible production team because lianjie is considered a d-list actress and czy at the time was just a rising actor. both leads have to be average top or one lead has to be no 1 top for the platform to give the drama extra attention and secure a solid production team that brings in good investors/investment.

I do see what you mean but personally I would rather he doesnt accept 2nd billing. so much effort & hardwork he'll put in like he always does only for the c-industry and their misguided antics to credit all the achievements of said drama if popular, to the socalled 1st billing. I'm sorry but hl still gives me ptsd, he carried that drama along with her but when cnetz talk about it it's considered zls achievements not his.
currently his peers at the same level are all leading or sharing billing, accepting this would be considered a career regression and/or possible downgrade in resources.
if he has to accept 2nd billing I'd much rather it be for senior actresses with way more experience or traffic.
just my opinion anyway, he'll still do what he wants at the end of the day

2. cross the ocean of time to love you - czy (rich ceo ml & actress fl, tencent) - modern drama.
3. spring of the 28th year - czy (pilot ml & doctor fl, huace production*** very likely iqiyi, this production group is known to collaborate with iqiyi) - modern drama.

we don't know for sure which melon is true but I think atleast 1 is true. happened last year too, just before fated hearts ended filming, all the melons started dropping and for sure 1 of them is the right one.

if he has to pick out of these 3, i think the ceo drama is the best option. tencent has high quality production & he has never been in a ceo drama. its always a good idea to try out different genres so your audience dont get bored. also his godly visuals match the description for the ceo ml (handsome rich playboy red flag etc)
plot is also quite interesting.

unfortunately though the pilot drama melon seems to be the one that might be true because a lot of weibo accs have posted it but I really hope he doesn't accept it, especially if it's with iqiyi.
I used papago to transcribe the official plot for the drama. ml is a "chief pilot for a flight company's rescue team" so basically like a rescue pilot for a private flight company? not airforce military/government? fl is a psychologist doctor. they meet years after high school to work together on a psychological system for the flight company.
it sounds somewhat similar to twot, rescue pilot (instead of soldier) in uniform probably saving people? it also sounds quite boring and knowing just how badly iqiyi destroyed twot, we can't trust them with another war/doctor type of drama.

costume drama melon is 2nd billed so no to this one too. he's reached a point in his career where he needs to lead his dramas or share billing.
