OH SO IT WAS A PROPER REGINA GEORGE MOMENT 😂 You want to evaluate one student for violence congratulations…
kudos to the actor playing him cause phw is genuinely one of the vilest characters ive ever seen in kdrama history. i sincerely hope theres no forced redemption arc for him, he needs to rot in jail at the end of this
Yes! People have been comparing them and equating them but the mood and tone is completely different from this…
agreed. similar settings and perspectives but a complete opposite tone. though his mom getting hurt in study group is very parallel to the friend that died/almost died in weak hero class
this drama is too good omg😭 pi hanwool & gamin's throwdown is going to be one for the history books! i havent read the manhwa and i dont want spoilers either, just want to appreciate every new epsiode with thrill
lol i know everyone is rightfully upset at the lack of communication between them but song ran losing her mind…
im actually enjoying this now. started it back up again with lower expectations and i have to say once you turn off the logic part of your drama brain, its not so bad. im up to ep 24 and their overall romantic chemistry is pretty strong. czy is indeed the king of romantic scenes. his visuals & expressions are very fitting for romance gestures. ost is also very solid. theres this one ost that usually hits at high suspense scenes like when zan told luo zhan he was going back to the east country. it sounds very similar to start over sung by gaho in itaewon class. im obsessed with it
if i had one complaint still it would be czy's line delivery in this drama reminds me of yang yang and not in a good way. it's definitely direction because we've seen how expressive he can be in previous dramas. here, he sometimes sounds like a robot delivering speeches with those weird pauses. in the future i hope he only works with directors and screenwriters that can utilize his talent well.
lol i know everyone is rightfully upset at the lack of communication between them but song ran losing her mind when lizan went to buy snacks for like 2 mins in the hospital had me laughing out loud. it was so funny😭 shes actually real. i too would cling onto him like an iguana and never let go if he was my boyfriend
I started this drama with high expectations. Because my timeline was full of it. Soooo im on episode 6 now and…
happened to me too with the first few episodes so i dropped it, but i picked it back up again and their chemistry is so much better as the episodes progress. i think chemistry in earlier episodes was affected by the dialogue. once dialogue lost the cringe, the chemistry became a lot more natural. im actually a little obsessed with their romantic scenes now lol
czy is sooooo gorgeous. his romantic expressions are crazy intense and very butterflies inducing. im mostly watching just to drool over his visuals at this point. its a more enjoyable watch if you tone down expectations and just treat it like a romantic comedy with some attempt at war & ptsd
one thing about kdramas is they know how to write one hell of an engaging script. perfect balance of comedy, suspense & thrill. even without romance, you still find yourself hooked
on ep 4 now and jiwoo & Joon's dynamic is so funny omg😂 when he showed up in the white suit and red shoes and she called him white rice & gochujang😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You guys, I’ve been feeling really sorry for Chen Zhe Yuan over the past few days. Why is it so hard for him…
its truly sad indeed. what i find interesting though is that everything that has seemingly gone wrong in czy's career literally always comes back to iqiyi & gramarie. the billing issue that almost ruined him, consistent earlier shit dramas with poor productions & now even a fairly strong ip novel like twot was still passed onto a useless production team. They are very reckless with his career and do not seem to have his best interests at heart or care whatsoever. i've been watching dramas for so many years now. kdramas especially. so i have very high standards/expectations when it comes to the kind of dramas i invest my time in & can spot a mess very quickly. i read twot several times and was really looking forward to this drama, that coupled with being a fan of czy too so it doubled expectations even more. However literally a few minutes into episode 1, i knew something was very off but i held on for 5 episodes to give it the benefit of the doubt. what a complete fail of a script/direction. like i was cringing through it all from the dialogue to plotholes to the very obvious unnatural acting and forced chemistry. i think what hurts even more is how much effort czy put into this character and how much he cherishes azan. novel readers too know how much potential this drama had. expectations were high as well everywhere judging from how fast it hit 8500 heat index & also topped all international country charts on iqiyi, but it just completely fell through & disappointed/embarrassed everyone involved, all because iqiyi couldnt care to source out a good production crew and czy's useless agency couldnt negotiate for a better one either. Bet if it was one of their actual princes on that platform, iqiyi wouldnt just throw on amateur directors and a high school level screenwriter for drama production. but its czy and theyve gotten away with the bare minimum constantly so why even try.
i really do wonder just how much of a setback this drama will have on his future resources. we know how the c-industry works, it's one thing to lead a good drama that flopped, but a bad drama with "questionable acting skills" as cnetz called it (through no fault of his own obviously, directing failed him here) that still flopped. i truly wonder.
ive said this before but the sooner he leaves both iqiyi & gramarie, the sooner he can salvage what's left of his potential & future. youku gave him his first hit drama, maybe his future is with that platform.
