Just finished ep 5, and it gives me a really nice feelings. I cannot stop giggling, and I don't find it boring at all. Their interactions are relatable, they are so awkward around eo simply cause both aren't really experience in terms of being in love. i love how they make LYY is a genius snooker player but doesn't make him genius in other things. He achieved whatever he achieved rn, because of his hard work. He's not rich nor he is poor, his condition is just ok. YYG I find very relatable, she's shy but not timid? She's confident and charismatic. I hate when they make supposed independent women rude or annoying. So I find YYG character is refreshing. How she doubted LYY intention, but still got pretty interested in him.

And I find all the support roles so far are also interesting, they don't feel like a bunch of fillers, for once I care about supporting roles. Meng Xiadong only have few scenes, but I find his character is pretty interesting. I won't stop mentioning how this drama doesn't feel like drama at all, it's like watching a cinematic movie. I barely see any filters, it's just right in the eyes. I swear this not a bias opinion, and I am so far very much enjoying the pacing and how they both slowly fall for eo and actually take some moves

Also I think LYY explained it himself, how he's not a talker. He even question himself if he is boring or not, he is very considerate not to make her feel embarrassed or overwhelming. I find them talk through texting is relatable, me as an introvert myself who can't express myself well sometimes texting is more comfortable cause I'm shy and awkward. I'll get more talkative once I'm more comfortable. And also they are just in the very first phase of getting to know eo...I hope it continues to be good

Sigh finally, just finished ep 1 and I'm loving the vibeeeesss. They just like YYG and LYY I imagined them to be, I'm so happy they are so far following the novel plotline. love their chemistry, love the siblings dynamic, and I love how this drama didn't give me " I'm watching a drama " feeling but more of like " I'm watching a cinematic movie "

Also the english dialogue doesn't feel forced, or cringey lol. just simple, chill normal dialogue. I have a very high expectations with this one, so I hope this won't leave me bitter feelings. And also, all the cast are so fineee.

LYY, but I supposed it's kind of mutual. They fell for eo immediately.

Guys the reason we cannot have the " OG " sang yan is because, it's from a frickin different production and director. ofc they're gonna use different actors for this one. Why can't y'all understand that? If this drama is direct by the same ppl them maybe it's possible to cast the same actors as hidden love. And also first frost announced to turn into drama long before hidden love. I admit VICTOR MA IS SO HOT. But I don't think he is for Sang yan first frost, if they can pick an actor with a wide range of acting for hidden love then why can't first frost do the same?

Also Victor ma isn't the " OG " Sang Yan, the OG is Sang Yan in first frost. Sang Yan in hidden love is how Sang Zhi sees Sang Yan and in First frost is how Sang Yan sees himself. Totally Different! also this happened to CZY when they announced he would play as DJX, ppl underestimate him and doubt it'll be a hit. but look now! You ppl can't get him out of picture as DJX. so the point is, it hasn't even air yet. Just wait and see. If it's good stay if it's not good then leave it be. cause honestly, I'll do it lol. I'm scared too. If I'm being honest, my expectation is still ZLH and WCR they are the perfect SY and WYF for me, i might be wrong. but I admit they have the potential.


And I admit I've never been a fan of ZRN simply cause she always took a small role, and she's done lots of movies than drama. In movies she barely took any childish, cringey character. She always play as the school flower, popular pretty girl, the smart one, the serious one, the sophisticated one and she's pretty good. As for her dramas, idk why she always chose the childish and cringey script. And it doesn't fit with her whole persona before she's doing drama. I thought since she always chose mature movies, she's gonna do the same thing with her dramas. and I think this drama will change ppl perception about her. Because this drama script isn't to light hearted, and WYF definitely has some depths compare to her other dramas. She should stop playing another immature drama, cause it doesn't fit with the persona she brought up on screen

The ending is sooo good. They don't exaggerate things, and it's pretty much realistic. Also whatever happen with Qin Feng is so laughable lolll everyone else doing better, and he's just there🤪 and I'm glad ruohua got the chance to live her life without her mom interference, it's the best ending for her. I love how lovely relationship between Anxin, Anxin mom, and Lian Tian yu. They healed each other, it brought up so beautifully. How Tianyu helped Anxin to overcome her insecurity, and how Anxin helped Tianyu to overcome his trauma. They're such a lovely family💞

I can't believe ruohua mom didn't even blink when she says those words to her daughter. How she told ruohua, she's the one killed her son. I think it's pretty realistic the fact that there's not even a second of character development for ruohua mom. She needs therapy, I don't want a redemption for her. She's done enough, and ruohua needs to leave. If she stays, the cycle will never end. Her mom is scary af

As for Anxin, I'm not worried about her. It's good she has a supportive mom and bf. Even though I hate to say goodbye to this drama, I can say I'm very glad we are near the end.

He loves how whenever he did good things for her, he gets compliments from others. " You're such a good person " "you're such a good husband" and when Anxin got into an accident, he loves how ppl " I can't believe you'd do it for your wife " he loves everytime he says he'll stay with her in whatever condition she's in, ppl would praise him for being good. Also when his mom told him that it's okay to get divorce, he says " I can't do that, what ppl gonna think if i divorce her" let's be real he never really cared for her, he cares about himself being good Infront of everyone else. It's his ego talking, if he back down, he's scared of not being a good husband ppl supposed to think he is or how he's not as good as ppl think he is.

No comment for CHR's mom. Like I said, she's insufferable narcissist mother. The more I pay attention to her, the more i get crazy🤪 honestly I don't want CHR to have a romantic partner. Not before she has a comfortable life, and her own space. And maybe get rid of her narcissist mom..

As for Anxin, I can see how her and Lian tian yu are pretty much compatible. She's stubborn, and he's not afraid to confront her. But i don't want them to be together yet, not before they know what they're gonna do next with their career or future plan.

Just finished 5 eps. It's surely an underrated drama, and I'm not surprised this type of drama never rlly get recognized by international fans

So far my thoughts about this drama :

CHR mom is insufferable. Selfish, narcissist mom. She's using her son's as shield so she can stay with her daughter. She's a narcissist, and her favorite hobby is minding ppl's business, she thinks that she's entitled to everyone's life without doubt. I don't understand her at all, her love for her kids were suffocating. It'll only hurt them more, and make them feel unloved.
Anxin and her mom's story line intrigued me more tbh. In eps 4 when Anxin's mom says " Anxin, you are my daughter. If I can do it, you can do it too. " At this moment Anxin needs someone who can pushed her not tolerate her.

And last but not least, I think Anxin's husband loves her, but as the dancer Anxin not Anxin who got into a car accident. He loves the idea of her. Since the beginning, when his mom nagged him how him and Anxin especially Anxin, never want a child. he's also deep down disagree with her and he tolerated it instead of communicating it with her. He always seem to be looking at the dancer Anxin banner, or the dancer Anxin in photo frame. And how he says " you're the woman of my dreams, how can I not love you" it rubs me the wrong way.
And in the beginning of eps 6, where he says " she's not like Anxin, she's like a stranger "

He thinks he can handle the new Anxin, but eventually he'll get tired of it. After all she's not the passionate, ambitious, perfectionist, and dancer Anxin anymore. He thinks that she's also hopeless, like how Anxin thinks she's hopeless. I think he's the type of person who'll love someone who has a similarity with him. He's a nice person, but I don't think he's for the new Anxin. If he can't feel the same way for the way he felt for Anxin before, then that means he doesnt really love her but the idea of her. Idk, I might be wrong, but that's how I see it. Cause what I see, he always tolerated her. And love isn't about tolerating.

They have a top notch ost, ngl. my favorite is xiaoxiao. A people pleaser, but honestly she is nice and she got that sunshine vibe on her. The story itself is okay, i cried several times and their acting is also okay. The ending pretty weak I'd say. Ppl say it's realistic, but if I'm being honest I don't know wtf was that🥲 some says SY and CYS were together some say they're not. But it'd be weird if they are, I mean SY bullied almost most of her friends how can they be together? Especially when she knows how SY treated LR back then, even SY redemption I think it's still nonsense.

I see where SY was coming from. but it can't be justified in anyway. I can't forget and forgive for what he did to YY. It's like, you befriend your own abuser. Li Ran, cannot support himself financially, also watching his family to destruction slowly by slowly but he never did what SY did. I feel bad for SY, whatever he's been through is valid. But never for what he did to YY, or any other person he ever bullied🙂

But overall it's a good highschool cdrama. You guys should watch RAY OF LIGHT!

I love first frost more than secretly secretly but unable to hide it. Since hidden love is such a big hit internationally. I hope they'll choose the actors who gonna play as wen yifan and sang yan wisely. They're personality and connection between eo are so much more complex than sang zhi and DJX. Wen yifan has that cold type of beauty but gentle at the same time, sang yan is a pretty much serious and arrogant in his own POV. Victor ma is a good Sang yang in hidden love, but I don't see him as sang yan in First frost. ZLH or SWL have that vibes going on. As for the FL I think WCR would work, her temperament and looks are so Wen Yifan. Idk about lu yuxiao, But girly did a good job in MJTY. I think she'll play the cold gentle pretty well, she doesn't have WYF temperament but I believe in her acting skills. Another WYF I think is possible is Liu haocun ( her drama Derailment is airing rn) she has that WYF vibes but unfortunately she's not tall enough and she looks abit too young. But i love her acting skills sm since a little red flower. Even in derailment she's doing a good job.

Whomever gonna play as WYF or SY I hope the script writer won't ruin both characters, especially WYF. I love her sm in novel, she's a complex character.
