This has everything I love. Assassin FL, equally strong and smart main leads, enemies -ally-friends to lovers, found family trope, a wonderful action pack,the character development, the plot, likeable characters ( even characters with annoying traits are somehow still barrable. They're so human it's easy to understand their intentions, why they are the way they are)
But I have a hate and love relationship with TLG obsessive behavior toward RY. It feels right for his character growth but at the same time I got deja Vu cause it reminds me of wonderland of love. Where the FL stepbro is in love with FL. i expected this drama to be different with the other one ( no this type of trope lol) but I don't mind since I never really take his obsession seriously, like RY and NYZ never did. Like they did, I just see him as immature, childish, pitiful young man, who craves for love. I'd find him attractive if his obsession toward RY didn't take much time.
I love how RY and NYZ are like mom and dad of the group. YSS is definitely the older brother ( I know he is a playboy and seem like he's all over the place. But if we compare him to QZ or YL, he definitely is more mature and calm) QZ is the definitely the middle child lolll. YL and YY would be the twins ( I'm in between shipping them and not at the same time. Cause I feel like they're more of like play buddies and they have that siblings dynamic than CP)
From EP 1 till now I still feel the spark of this drama. Likeee it'ssss sooo good. and definitely need higher rating!!!
Some ppl find this drama boring. But it is rlly relaxing for me, it's so aesthetically pleasing with well written script ( it has 33 eps, hope it'll stay that way). After dramas with heavy plots recently, I need this heartwarming, slow, and fluffy type of drama. As a shy person myself, I can relate with shengshengman sm. Tan jian ci and Zhou ye are very much spot on at portraying the characters.
My expectation with this drama is super high. I love the novel. and when they announced Wu lei and jinmai as the cast, I was so hyped and I still am. I hope I'm right, since the novel is quite steamy, I wanna see how they're going to bring those scenes to screen. Can't waiiittt!
At this point, I don't give a shit about the 2nd FL anymore. She's selfish, self centered, she works for JH but act like she owns the factory it's either JH needs to listen to her or she quits ( which very unprofessional and immature) her obsessing over GY and just do whatever she wants with YJ..sigh*
Her story took almost half of the mainleads story, at first I thought it was fine cause I thought she'll get a character development. But even untill now I can't wrapped my head around this girrrll. I'm moreee interested in XS backstory, I want to understand him moreeee. So far, they only gave us a glimpse of it. which so unfair, cause I can see XS also struggled alot in his past life with how he lost his dad. But instead we got this shallow selfish 2nd FL, i don't care about😃 well..anw I'll finish it only for JH and XS
I wonder why my fav dramas, a smart script, with brilliant characters, and good production always get a low rating internationally. And why some shallow, with the same plot, timid plain characters get 10+++ ratings

Why is the rating dropped again? I just don't get it. So far i find this drama not at all draggy. The pacing is not too fast not too slow, which overall has a nice pacing. I've never watched Gong Jun before, simply cause none of his drama plot line are my cup of tea. But his acting flowed very natural in this drama. Xu Si is the type of ML u'll hate ( I've seen some comments how much they dislike the ML) but honestly I can't hate him, cause Gong Jun is so good at portraying XS. From his business like manner to shameless XS when he tries to approached JH. He's a cunning business man, but also a man who knows what he wants HE WANTS JH AND NOT AFRAID TO CHASE HER ( considering he has a cocky personality ) usually in any other drama ML like XS would not admit their feelings and continuously being passive agressively jealous when FL is close to other men
As for Elaine jong, honestly this more of like a me problem. I don't know much about this FL. BUT MANNN, I'D FOLD AND OBSESSED TOO LIKE XS😭 she's also good at portraying, how JH life change after her dad's bankruptcy. She got that spunky impulsive and arrogant personality when she was rich and all. but after the bankrupt she still is spunky but a little bit reserve I'd say. She's smart for doing that, she knows being arrogant would not get her to anywhere. So now she calculate whatever she's doing, and tried not to be too impulsive ( SHE WANTS TO CHANGE, AND NOT AFRAID OF ADMITTING HER MISTAKES)
I love this CP witty banter, their sexual tension, their dynamic in general. Whether when them in business like manner or when it comes to their love life.
Not many actors could portrait this characters without being annoying or abruptly ( it's a matter of the script too). These two are doing a good job at portraying a character who has a character development, a grey morally characters are obviously a very complex type of character, if the actors cannot deliver well It can be annoying and cringey ykno..so the haters need to GET IT TOGETHER!
I just finished EP 19, and I don't dare to watch EP 20. I'm afraid I won't stop thinking about it, so I'll stop till they release all of the eps. I think they are gonna be my fav CP after ye Liuxi x Chang dong ( parallel world), Xu hongdou x xie zhiyao ( meet yourself), tang ying x Xu zhuchuan ( fake it till you make it), xiao chunseng x tong xiaomei ( the youth memories). gosshh these CP are having that dynamic I really like. Mature, act like their age, their companionship, the tension, I love when characters in drama are complex instead of making them black and white. Fluffy, highschool childish romance r good for a pallet cleanser. But I need this kind of romance dynamic more and more! real kissing scenes, real conversation, real connection, a make sense slow burn instead of ' i just met them, but I can't stop thinking about them and I think they are my soulmate ' lol i love how the romance doesn't just came out of nowhere.
I ain't a big fan of business dramas, but I neither hate them. The script is good enough, I don't find it cliche nor cringey.
I love Xu Si, i know why some hate him, but I personally love morally grey characters. You can't really tell if he's a good person or the opposite. He knows that Jiang hu is almost capable of everything, man, if only she puts her heart into it. that's why he did what he did and said what he said. It might sounds rlly harsh but it is what it is. He's different tho, when it's not working time. I love how Jiang hu is used to be spoiled, how she is not used to of how reality works. But honestly, she's smarter than anyone expected her to be. Managed everything in such a short time. She takes risk, she's not ashamed to ask someone else's help even if she's so prideful, she never ran away, she's so responsible. She ain't your usual naive FL, she knows what she's doing..
My least favorite is perhaps the second FL. i think her characteristic is more of your usual FL. gets mad at everything, she thinks that the world revolves around her. I feel bad for the scnd ML, he did everything so she won't struggle much but instead she's drooling over gao yi who hasn't rlly done anything for her. And honestly I don't care enough for their story.
