I liked the movie. I think it had an interesting take on the dirty double lives politicians can have. The ending was tragic but I wasn't expecting a happy ending anyway. The sexy scenes were not sexy and I don't think they were intended to be especially because of everything that was going on. I don't have an issue with consensual adult age gap relationships but Mico is literally 17. Even if he was older, it's still not right seeing as the relationship was only kept afloat by the power dynamic. The mayor had the ability to ruin their lives so they obviously felt trapped. Them killing him was sort of what I expected from the moment I first got introduced to his character. So surprised to see the guy from In Between and the Mum from My Extraordinary in this as well. It also shows just how unsafe the sex industry can be. I wish we could get to see the history of Mico and Ace's relationship and how they got involved with the mayor. Also just realized how bad the synopsis of the movie is on this site lol.

Oh my god... I'll just ignore the whole moral argument. But you do realize that age of consent doesn't mean a 15 year old can consent to sex with just anyone. Age of consent means that under that age, you are legally technically not allowed to have sex or consent to sex in any circumstances. It also means that someone who is over the age of consent but is under the age considered being an "adult" in that country, can only legally consent to sex within those ages. So in the case of Thailand, the age of majority is 20. She can only have consensual sex with other people between the ages of 15 and 19 without it being illegal. Him being a 35 year old makes it statutory r*pe if he were to have a sexual relationship with her. I know they never showed or implied a sexual relationship, but pedophilia manifests in more ways than sexual.

Around a 6/6.5 for me. That might be a little harsh but it's only because this was obviously a very well funded show yet it lacked in so many areas. I couldn't stand to watch the emotional scenes, their acting just isn't very authentic. It started out pretty great but went downhill. Many things didn't make sense overall. I thought some of the music used was pretty inappropriate for some scenes etc.

I don't know about this show exactly but when gay men and trans women complain about effeminate gays/ trans women in these shows, it's not because of internalized homophobia. It's because of the constant use of effeminate gay men and trans women as comedic relief and 1 dimensional boy obsessed idiots. I want to see more effeminate gays in these shows but if they are only there to be constantly made fun of, disrespected, and just be the token stereotypical gay then I'd rather not have that thanks. Judah was kind of an unlikeable character. Gave off a feeling of entitlement and "holier/better than thou" imo. However, I did like that he is strong enough to set his own boundaries in a relationship. It's not healthy staying in a relationship with someone who still hasn't come to terms with his identity. The way he set those boundaries though felt a little manipulative. Like he was coercing Rocky into coming out or something. I think it would've been better if they had taken some time apart instead. Rocky was also selfish in not letting Judah do his own thing and leave.
Very cute and enjoyable show. Tackles important topics and love how they did not shy away from letting it be known that the characters are gay men. Nice balance between serious and funny. I thought the lack of physical interaction was unnatural for a couple that have lived together for a while in my opinion but I didn't care whatsoever. It was implied that they do indeed have a sexual relationship anyways and it didn't take away from the story that that part of their relationship wasn't shown much.
I'm loving this show but didn't like this episode (EP 4) all that much. The last 3 episodes have left me giddy and excited for the upcoming episodes and story, this one not so much. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. Itt's reaction to the death of his mother was very weird although I do understand that people mourn differently. I agree with what people are saying about Pure and Waan, I shipped them from the get-go and the amount of disappointment I felt when I found out they weren't going to be endgame is unexplainable lmao
