fuck rome for sharing that private conversation to prove he didnt sleep with pete to raffy. as if they both arent loose whores who dont have any duty to be loyal to each other anyway. mind you, pete didnt even say he slept with rome, raffy is just delusional.
degrading?Whilst I’m not a fan of short-form content, it’s a way to market to the busy and young populations.…
But what we used to get was generally shows that at least had a 20+ min runtime and 8ep+. Budget friendly can also mean "how can we minimize effort while still ensuring a steady stream of money from views" to these companies. Also I feel like we can all agree waiting a week for a 10 min episode is excessive. I understand the importance of more queer content regardless of the format it comes in but I also get the frustration .
Yeah it didn't feel like it made sense for the characters in this version, more forced to follow the plot. I am…
Right. There are aspects of this that I am enjoying and changes that I like or don't mind but there are also certain character and plot changes that alter the vibe in a negative way. Which is probably why it looks like a lot of people aren't liking Mo.
can't even believe any single opinions & criticisms from you jbl fans since you find everything worse on thai…
I dont care what you can or can't believe since I'm not here to convince you of anything. I'm just sharing my personal opinions. That hate that you're feeling is a projection. I don't "hate" this adaptation and don't know where you could get that idea, I wouldve dropped it if I did. We're also talking about Ossan's Love so I don't know why you're assuming what I think about other Thai adaptations of Japanese works...
Idk what a jbl fan is either. I watch and enjoy bls regardless of where they are from and don't have a bias towards any specific country. If the adaptation is lackluster, it's lackluster. Am I a tbl fan because I preferred the Thai "Love in the Air" over the Japanese "Love in the Air: Koi no Yokan"?
That last scene of ep 10 is a terrible interpretation of one of my favorite scenes of the japanese ossan's love (2018). I feel like it's getting worse as it goes. The hong kong adaptation was much better.
Did not enjoy this happy fairy tale ending for everyone thing. I feel like the writers tried their hardest to make us forget that Joe is in a completely different body and is living life as a completely different person. You could argue that Ming fell in love with two people. I didn't expect them to go much into detail of the mind-fuck that is switching bodies and living your life as a different person but because of that, the scene in the last episode where his new movie is released and he is the main just doesn't feel right because it's not really him. The last minute pairings were unnecessary and I didn't care for them. I don't care what anyone says but Ming did not have a redemption arc. Let alone Tong or Ming's mother. They did nothing to deserve the complete turn around in their characterization this episode. My happy ending would be for Joe to not get with anyone and start focusing on himself instead of being a SIMP. This show started out well with an interesting premise but towards and after the midpoint it began to go downhill. The ending was predictable but still disappointing.
For a pilot trailer, the styling of this is absolutely incredible. I haven't even finished the trailer yet but I had to run here to gush about how beautifully well tailored and made the clothing looks already. It doesn't look costume-y at all. That on top of the filming locations? That budget must be touching the ceiling...
Some people in the comments sound really pretentious acting like many don’t like this show simply because it’s not “porn” or sweet and simple or whatever. I promise you no one cares about the lack of sex or kissing scenes, it’s the mid to terrible acting and directing and repetitive/draggy storyline that’s the issue. I find the whole “you guys just don’t understand the deeper meaning” thing very patronizing tbh. Personally I like certain things about this drama but I’d be lying if I said this drama doesn’t suffer from bad execution in many technical aspects whether it’s the writing or acting. If you’re able to appreciate it and it’s message despite all of that, that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean everyone else are just simpletons who only care for kissing w/ no plot and cookie cutter dramas.
Really badly written. Mediocre and sometimes outright bad acting. Unlikeable characters like Charlie and his best friend who is just as dumb as he is. I wouldn’t have minded the childish and unserious nature of this show if it wasn’t as bad as it is. There definitely was potential somewhere but it got lost in all the mess.
