After reading all the comments I think I’ll skip this one. Watched two episodes and the ML is such a terrible actor, maybe he gets better but I was here for Seven Tan and it doesn’t seem like her best role so moving on to her greater and better dramas. Think I’ll check out Go Ahead.

I feel like they can easily do a Season 2 - focusing on the other cast members, like where did Rushang come from and learn about poison and what happens to Commander Fu and the Princess? So many ways to explore this drama more. More than that, I’d love to see the ML and the FL again! Maybe getting married and having kids. It wasn’t clear to me at the end whether they were married. I assume so since he tells Fu Yen to call her Mrs. Qi Wang~

I agree! You can also tell from the bts comparison between the two. I mean both are good but her chemistry with ZLH is on another level natural. It’s awesome to watch!

I agree. It’s hard to find a cast with so much natural repoire and chemistry. Normally maybe just the FL and ML but here, the ML and FL chemistry is off the charts and the rest are just as amazing! Maybe it’s because the production and cast seem contained, I don’t know what magic but it’s awesome to watch!

I respect the difference in our opinion. I just don’t know why I need to push through an otherwise terrible story just to get to a few cute tidbits between the ML and FL. That’s not what makes a good drama for me. A good drama should have a good, well-paced story with good dialogue and character development. Of course, this is on the director and writer mostly so no fault on the actors. But the FL doesn’t really change, the ML does but not by much. 55 episode drag with little to sustain it in terms of quality - this drama is way overrated in my opinion.

No, the FL continues to be completely flat and also incompetent and needs constant saving by the ML. Don’t waste more time. It doesn’t get better.

Worst drama ever. The FL is so incompetent. She can’t seem to do anything without the ML. I mean, she has a gun but she can’t shoot anything to save her life. Literally. And her alleged “skills” as an investigator is overshadowed by the constant reminder that she is not as smart or competent as the ML who is always a step ahead of her. Can dramas AT LEAST have FL with brains who are good at their job? Why does she ALWAYS have to be saved by the ML??

Also, why this constant romanticizing of assholes in dramas. The ML is an asshole. Mean and cold and degrading to the FL. Constantly. Yet, somehow the one second he acts like a normal human being it’s supposed to be romantic? Do we all have Stockholm Syndrome? It seems like the FL certainly does.

And the story is boring, cliched, and unoriginal. The production value and plot is so terrible and filled with gaps that I can’t even begin to know where it starts.

I started this drama because I was misled by the high ratings. I think the ratings must have been raised by the ML and FL’s fans. There can be no reason for it. If I could, I would give it an overall rating of 1. I’m just shocked that such terrible C-dramas still exist.

This looks sad. Especially if historical. Sun Yi needs to do a romantic comedy. She’s such a great actress and they keep casting her in these sad roles ?

He is! He definitely has game! I agree, I love it too! And the actor plays that so well! So refreshing! A smart, handsome war hero prince doesn’t always have to be super stiff and be “noble” whatever that means!

Except I feel like the FL is smarter and more capable than in Under the Power

I’m obsessed with this drama. I love it! Everything everyone is saying so far is so true! The leads have so much chemistry. And there are so many natural openly affectionate, flirty scenes and lots and lots of kiss scenes. I’m usually meh about kiss scenes because they look a bit unnatural and cliche but the kiss scenes here fit the script, the characters, and most importantly they’re really great at it! And the story and investigations are interesting, the characters have personality, the FL is super smart, and the ML is everything you’d want in a ML and then some. This drama moves quickly and doesn’t linger and stupid plot devices or miscommunications- the plot drives forward and things make sense. There is no sacrificing of the plot or characters to create angst. It’s so well-put together and acted that it really deserves a higher rating. MUST WATCH DRAMA OF 2020.

Or maybe you should be more open-minded since the drama hasn't aired yet and you know nothing about it. For all you know it could be a family drama about healing. It's not about fan girl or boying, it's that it's frustrating to hear people talk shit about something that hasn't even aired like and pretending to be righteous like the rest of the world don't know shit. Learn to be more tolerant and open-minded. I'm sure that will take you farther.

After all, the fact that you are calling this pedophilic when the drama hasn't even aired yet and you know nothing about it shows how closed-minded you are. Perhaps you should write to the parents of the actress and attack them about why they decided to have their daughter star in this alleged pedophilic drama?

Have you ever heard of the movie Lolita? Based on a famous novel of the same name? According to your logic the book should be burned and the actors executed?? This is fiction and it’s called acting. Also I noticed you are only targeting Zhang Ling He - if you have such a problem with the drama why don’t you also write this on the other actors’ pages or the actress’s page? Hell, her parents shouldn’t have let her act in this being 15 and all, right? And certainly no fault on the producers, the agency, the big tv stations airing this, or the director, right? If you’re going to hate the drama for whatever issues you perceive MIGHT exist WHEN THE DRAMA HASN’T EVEN AIRED YET, then criticize it equally on everyone, don’t use nonsense as a reason to pick on one person.

I noticed there is someone going around intentionally bad-mouthing him about this drama when this drama hasn’t even aired. What’s worse is that this person is writing it like it’s a personal fact about the actor and calling him names when it’s actually referring to his drama role. I don’t know why this person is doing this and spewing hate but I’m going to report it to the content managers of this site. The comments should be positive even if critical, not hateful.

HE IS AN ACTOR. This is his job. It is unfair to him and ignorant to s** talk him about this. He’s just a young actor starting out in the industry. His acting roles don’t represent him personally. If there is a problem with the subject of a drama just write to the producers and send messages to the companies that produce the dramas, don’t attack the actors.

From what I saw of him so far he has solid acting skills and I’d like to keep watching him. I know many good Chinese actors are prevented from being successful because of unfounded rumors, jealousy by fans who support rival actors, and just intentional sh*t talking.

I hope real drama fans can ignore these trolls and give support to young actors like him. As a drama fan, I’m just tired of seeing great young actors that I enjoy watching not get any more dramas because of stupid and ignorant anti fans who spew venom for no reason. Let’s nip this bad behavior in the bud now and support our young actors.

The Hell is the matter with you? He’s an actor. And I noticed you are going around posting this hate comment on all sites related to him. Why are you trying to bad mouth a young budding actor over an acting role he doesn’t have control over?? Are you just a troll?

AND, the drama is not out yet and you don’t know at what age he shot the drama. Just because it’s slotted for release now it doesn’t mean he shot it now. Most dramas are shelved for years and released many years later when the actor gets more popular.

You can have an opinion about a drama when it appears but don’t try to bad mouth him like he did something wrong. He’s a young actor with much talent, we should support him.
