I blame the brother for the ending and the mess. The brother should have been honest and told them the truth when he realized they found each other. He was too scared of the things he may lose, of his own guilt, and his own fears and prejudices and mistrusts that he kept all the secrets with himself. If he would have been honest, things would have turned out better. I don’t really blame Moo Young. He acted based on what he knew and felt - at first not knowing that he needed to love and protect himself, and then finally understanding that and acting on the need to protect what he finally understood. I know this sounds a bit confusing but if you watch the drama you’ll know what I mean. I didn’t want to give too much detail and spoil anything beyond episode 2.

Not really. You should continue. It’s more about Moo Young’s mental state and he doesn’t really play with the girl. It’s a bit more complicated than that.

Just finished watching this. DAYS took me there. Arguably one of his best acting. He was amazing as Kim Moo Young. I get the hype about his and Jung So Amin’s chemistry. It’s one of those dramas that stays in your mind for a long time. Watching Ep 1 of the Abyss immediately after finishing this drama is a must if you want to find your mental happy place.

I LOVE that he plays these versatile thriller roles. He can swap so easily between rom-com and melo and thriller. He is definitely one of the best actors in his age group in Korea right now. He’s one of those actors whose dramas are always a good go-to.

Happy to see SIG and JSM reunited. I just finished The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and their chemistry was amazing. I like SIG with PBY right now in DAYS and think they have great chemistry but his chemistry with JSM was on another level

I agree, the story makes no sense. It’s a bit of a mess. I watch it bc I like the leads. The premise itself is not logical: he wants her to request the end of the world before she dies in 3 months, and in return he will makes her 3 months painless. If she breaks their deal someone she loves will die. BUT, if she wishes for the end of the world and keep her bargain wouldn’t EVERYONE die? Including the person she most loves? So her incentive isn’t really an incentive. She should’ve thought thru the fine print more.

Also, I’m tired of them just arguing. She seems too angry and annoyed at him all the time. Like, he is doing her a favor bc she would be in pain and die painfully but instead she gets to enjoy her remaining days. Also, maybe bc we’ll see her character change and develop more but there has been ZERO movement so far. But too early to tell.

I really like her, and I’m good with male or female roles she plays. I would like to see her in more dramas or movies though

I’m not keen on political propaganda dramas so I’ll be skipping this one. I like the actors in it so hope it does well~

I wonder if he will be shooting any new dramas. I only see two listed so far and those he already shot. Also I wonder if he has a permanent role in a variety show. These damn anti fans. We could’ve had so much more Xiao Zhan material if it weren’t for them. I wish there was a way foe international fans to support him.

Wait, this ends on Ep 40? Why so soon? I’m only on Ep 24 but I can tell it has a lot more to go. Will they do S2 with the same cast? Why do CDramas always do this? Can’t they just finish a series start to real end? I want the big hammer reveal like in the anime!

Not to doubt your news bc I hope they are all true but I recently read about yet another nonsensical rumor spread by an online person Wang Fangui or something like that, and it tried to create animosity between XZ and Wang Yibo’s company Yue Hua. Has this died down? What is XZ’s status on Weibo and with the advertisers? Is it getting better? I feel so bad for XZ. Talk about being an innocent bystander. He didn’t do anything wrong yet these crazy anti fans and AO3 supporters are targeting him. If they’re so mad about the censorship why don’t they criticize the government? Bunch of cowards. Ironically, I feel like XZ is going thru what Wei Ying went thru with public opinion. Hopefully XZ will be fully cleared and have a happy ending.

Thanks, I was worried about him bc of the AO3 incident. It’s terrible what happened to him when he didn’t do anything wrong at all. I hope he rises to the top again soon and regains all that he has lost.

I really like her, very versatile actress. I wish she had a greater following and got more nice FL roles

I would like to see a drama where the ML and the FL’s personalities are NOT like heaven and earth polar opposite but are exactly alike. How’s that for a change up.

This drama is just poorly written and the FL is frustrating. I get it. In drama land (especially CDramas) FL are supposed to be sweet, innocent, can’t stand up for themselves, not as smart as the guy, constantly needs help with everything, and trip on air. But seriously, at least speak up for yourself or clarify situations quickly so it doesn’t escalate. She’s so passive. And her “money-driven” ness is understandable but frustrating bc her approach is just not smart or efficient. I’m sure there are smarter and better ways to make money than her approach. Anyway, one of rare times when I dislike both the FL and the ML, and most of the support characters.

I agree, I like Fang Lou. Why oh why can’t writers just go with the super nice guy for once
