Wow. I think you need to relax. I’m just opining that perhaps it’s not just about taxes which is highly possible. Don’t know why you think your opinion should be the gospel of truth. This is an open forum for discussion. Also, you make it seem like DL intentionally didn’t pay attention to his taxes. Ordinary people who make even like $100k and own a house get accountants because taxes are complicated. DL makes millions. It’s possible to make a mistake and it takes time to track down the mistake and properly address it. But more importantly, CHILL. This is Dramalist not a court hearing. People are allowed to have different opinions.

I don’t believe these so-called facts from the Chinese government. 1% of his total income seems like such a small amount for him to have risked his entire career knowing full well what happened to others. Also, if it’s just a matter of taxes and penalties which he said he’ll pay, why cancel his Weibo and social media accounts. I wonder if DL supports Ukraine or something, or somehow pissed off the government.

I think we are assuming all the facts and accusations are true. Many China specialists have reported in the past that the Chinese government targets certain celebrities if they feel the celeb’s influence may be too much. That was one of the provisions in China’s new censorship law passed a few months ago.

I can appreciate the need for law enforcement but sometimes I feel like the Chinese government targets celebrities who have become too famous in order to tamp down their fame and influence. It’s always the super famous and influential who are targeted. And of course Deng Lun is simply going to say sorry. I mean, what is he supposed to say? Say the Chinese government is wrong and oppose their decision? Not likely. So I don’t put a lot of stock in Deng Lun’s apology. I think the government targeted him because of his fame. I hope he can make a good comeback. He works hard and is a good actor. I support him.

I love Liu Yuning’s voice! He sings so incredibly well. I recently realized that he sang almost every drama OST that I loved! His voice is so versatile from soft ballads to rock to traditional - you have to check out his playlists on YT and you’d be blown away both by how many OSTs he sang and how well he sings! Currently watching him in Our Song 3 and his duet with Yi Chun of “Daughter Country” (Nu Er Guo) was amazing.

Just realized... he doesn’t belong to an agency because he achieved his success through self-promotion on social media!! No crazy contracts for him - he gets to keep all the money he makes and not share with any agency! Of course that probably means he has to have his own manager and stuff but still, I hope it’s great for him!

I liked him as Hao Du but fell in love with his singing. It turns out, he is the singer of all my favorite drama OSTs!! Watching him in variety shows like Our Song, Fresh Chef and Chinese Restaurant, I have so much respect for him. He seems genuinely humble, polite, kind, well-mannered, positive, grateful, thoughtful, and super duper hard-working!! There are so many adjectives to describe him but that may seem unbelievable so I’ll stop here. He is one of few celebs who I love for their talent and all that they are in whole and boundlessly respect. 🙏🏻I wish him only the best and the brightest success! 🍀🌟💫✨

I just watched him in “Chinese Restaurant S4”. OMG he is SO personable, friendly, well-mannered, thoughtful, smart, witty, very articulate and hard-working! He is always willing to help out and work super hard. He apparently previous worked as a chef or a cook so he knew how to prepare and cook food. He is just an all-around multi-talented, super humble, genuine, smart, funny guy! Even Zhao Liying seemed to like him and joke around with him (Zhao Liying is well—known for being introverted and quiet). I love him singing and I loved him as Haodu in The Long Ballad. But to see what a down-to-earth, nice, smart, easy-going, friendly and hard-working guy he is makes me like him more! 👍🏼👏🏻 I really wish he succeeds in all he does and is happy 🙏🏻❤️

It happens. He shouldn’t have to apologize to the public about his personal life. The abortion was her choice. If she didn’t want it then she could have just kept the baby.
