Yeah, the COVID thing is kind of crazy. Heck, I’ve asked strangers to hold my place in line while having to take an urgent call. I wish people who rationally view celeb actions as they would normal people and things will be fine. No need to create drama and chaos. As much as I am happy that he is getting more fame and status it does make me worried about him being targeted. I’m sure or hope that his Studio and he are also aware and are on guard against things like that and he super careful.

I don’t want a Season 2 and would like a full and complete and happy ending. BUT, if they were to make a Season 2 I do have some questions on points that they dropped throughout the drama:
1) did DFQC and Orchid know each other in the past? When she was Xishan goddess?
2) Chidi Woman’s comment that when she first saw DFQC on the roof that she felt hate, respect and concern. Could she possibly ha liked DFQC during their fighting days and that’s why she fell in love at first sight with him?
3) how did CH and Xishan goddess get engaged?
4) how did the Chidi woman know the Xilan clan so well?
5) what really happened to Jieli and her mom?

I’m sure there is more but I’m just wondering about these

I don’t think it’s a secret that CH is engaged to Xishan Goddess. This pretty much public knowledge. What was not known is who the Xishan Goddess is.

One thing I see from the perspective of orchid. For 1500 years, she stayed in arbiter hall, performing her duty…
The more I watch the more I am convinced the fairies are evil, discriminatory, bullies and a bunch of hypocrites like DFQC says and it’s the Moon Tribe who are just trying to live a peaceful life. The whole conflict started when Chonghs from fairyland betrayed the first moon lady (forgot her name).

It will be a Magnificent ending and I have full trust in the writers and directing team of this drama because…
I think so too. The writing has been so tight, conscious and detailed and so well thought out that for the first time for a Cdrama I say I have faith in the writers to pull us through. I don’t know how much time they’ll spend on the actual happy ending but I think the ending will be a happy one.

Im so happy that LBFAD got 7.7 score on douban. The only rating site i trust
Is 7.7 too low so you think? Does it go up after it’s rated? Feels like it should be higher but guess I don’t have the context

So conflicted. I want to watch the upcoming episodes so badly but don’t want the drama to end at the same time.…
Me too! I would love to see a few “filler” eps of DFQC and Lanhua being happy. They deserve it. But given how CDramas operate, they may give us like 5-10 minutes of happy at the very end. At least I hope it’s not an open ending.

But to the point of the drama being longer, there is definitely source material that could make the drama longer. There were so many things dropped that raised questions for me about all of the characters 30,000 years ago and how that karma led to now. So I think the story could have easily gone to at least 40-45. I think they didn’t have enough sponsors/investors when they first made this project so they may have cut it short. If they knew it was going to be a big hit like this I’m sure they would have made it longer.

I’m so glad to hear this drama is doing so well. It’s such a well-made drama and you can tell the actors and cast worked so hard to make it perfect. I was really impressed with Dylan Wang’s acting in this drama. His many subtle expressions convey such nuance and meaning in every scene that gives depth to the story and character. It’s hard to pull off and I think he just nailed it. I was floored with his performance in Ep 18 and continue to be amazed by how great the story is being told. I hope this is the megahit like The Untamed or Ashes of Love for him that skyrockets both him and Esther Yu to even more fame and better projects. And I hope they do another drama together. I love their chemistry. Also, wouldn’t it be such amazing chaos to see them paired in a regular variety show together? That would be such fun!

I hate amnesia! Oh no! Will she get her memories back at some point tho? Poor DFQC!

Go to Episode Guide right below Title of drama. You can click on any episode, click on stars to rate. Do the same…
Thanks! Will definitely rate it! I don’t recall the last time a drama was this good and each and every single episode was so well executed from costume to plot to acting to dialogue to the special effects and all the attention to detail. It really deserves a 10/10!

I’m confused about the trailer for Ep 32. He says he knows she is a dream so is it just his imagination? It looks like he is destroying the Arbiter Hall he created for her? She asks if he is willing to watch her marry someone else and he says no and asks her to wait bc he will get her back. I think. So what’s happening? Is this all his imagination and dream or are they actually talking? Guess we won’t know until next week. Ek! The angst! I haven’t been as invested in a drama in such a long time!

I am in angst that this drama is ending next week. I can imagine it’s going to be highly angst inducing. I’m literally taking Monday off just to watch the final episodes of this drama. I’ve never ever done that for a drama in all my years of watching. That’s how great the storytelling and acting for this drama is. I have faith that our couple will pull through despite all the obstacles. The only obstacle we have is how do we hold on until next week!! Also, how do you rate each episode?

Can we talk about that Orchid plant she gifted him?
This is just my opinion, haven’t read the book or anything but Lanhua said she placed some of her primordial spirit in that orchid plant she gifted DFQC in Ep 16. So doesn’t that mean she could come back in a few thousand years if she were to die? Isn’t that kind of how the primordial spirit worked for DFQC when he was woken and also for Cui Di Woman? Just wondering.

I think DFQC is aware that his hellfire will be affected if his Love Tree grows back and he regains his emotions, not just couple love but parental love, brotherly love, etc. I think that’s what Ep17-18 were handled so well by the writers. It tells the audience that DFQC is aware of this and tries to kill off his tree again but decides that he doesn’t want to. In Ep 18 he specifically tells his father that he is making a conscious choice to live with his emotions even if they bring him pain and suffering. Otherwise he is living like a walking corpse.

I love that his decision to keep his emotions was based on his love and memories for his father and not for Lanhua. Even if he loves her in the future, when he (we expect) sacrifices his powers for her we will have already known through Ep 18 that this was expected when he made the decision in this episode. He is smart enough to know that by allowing all his emotions to come back he is also allowing for love and in return he could lose Hellfire. That’s why his father kept reminding him to not waste the suffering he went through to obtain Hellfire in the first place and to forego his emotions to keep this ultimate Hellfire power. But DF refused. I think that’s why Ep 18 stands out to me as the most critical episode for the remaining story and why later on when he does lose his powers (as we expect him to), we know it wasn’t some dumb decision or an impulsive one for Lanhua or not thought-out. We will know that keeping his emotions was important to him even at the loss of his powers regardless of Lanhu.

Of course, he probably doesn’t know what it will actually feel like when he loses hellfire. He was always the most ultimate supreme and powerful being. So to lose that status will likely shake him and shock him. After all, he has never been weak. So it will take time for him and he may question his earlier decision. But I guess he will find a way to come out of it bc he is our hero and ML~

Question: what's Xiao Lan Hua age in the drama? 10k? 5k? forgot. Dong Fang Qing Cang is more than 30k+ right.
They reference it a few times but she is at least 1500
