Hee Hee, you know, for some reason I can't get enough of the opening and closing songs. Usually I skip past the opening but for this drama I just let it play out all the way and try to guess what scenes I've see so far and what's remaining.

And kids, of course ;)

I'm actually glad they didn't add that part. The way the drama has been, it wouldn't have made much sense because the drama had it so that it wasn't really YWY who killed Lin Xi and the only person Chu Qiao killed "close" to YWY was Yuwen Huai's grandfather - who was actually YWY's enemy. I think the drama probably did that and left out the close killings between CQ and YWY because the drama wouldn't have had enough time to explore the progression of feelings from intense hate to something in between and then to appreciation and love. I think that arc would have taken too long. So they prob left out a lot of the killings and made the only obstacle between them the fact that CQ has sided with Yan Xun and became a traitor to Wei and YWY is a General and officer of the Wei State. I think that is sufficient of an obstacle in the drama for these two. So, if they would've added this part in the drama, it wouldn't have been believable for CQ to come back to YWY only a few episodes later and be in love with him.

LOL! Thanks Jamie! That's so funny! I love these two episodes of Yuwen Yue and Chu Qiao! I also love that Chu Qiao just laughed at it and when YWY choked on the water. Then she tries to give him the blanket but he gives it back to the two of them. It's so cute~

I think these two episodes have made it pretty clear that Chu Qiao likes Yuwen Yue.

I just went to the unsubbed TV version EP 50 (I couldn't stand that the Uncut Eng Sub version cut off right in the middle of Yuwen Yue and Chu Qiao's conversation). OMG, it's so cute. YWY tells Chu Qiao, "Do you know why I named you XIng'er? It's because the first time I saw you, your eyes sparkled like stars." And she meekly says, I told you my name is Chu Qiao. Then he says, In my heart you're already Xing'er. Then she again protests that her name is Chu Qiao. Then he says something else to her that makes her laugh but I can't make it out. I can only make out the characters for love and calling(someone's name). Anyway, it's so cute... I wish they'd just subtitled these too...

But July 30 is a Sunday... So they're sticking to the 58/68 episodes that they posted earlier. So that leaves us about 18 episodes to go.

I don't know if Chu Qiao knew it was YWY but YWY definitely knew it was Chu Qiao based on her voice and the way the camera moved from his expression and then zoomed into her and then back to him again. That camera movement suggested to me that he definitely knew it was her - I mean, he knew Chu Qiao was in that City and was searching for her. Given how smart he is, and what he knows about Chu Qiao, I think out smarty pants Mr. Ice could have easily deduced it was Chu Qiao when he heard her voice.

And YES! I totally caught that too! And I LOVED that the camera zoomed in on the hands when YWY just basically told her to hold on to him and just grabbed her hand. Such a contrast from episode 11 at the lantern festival! And he's pretty much showering her with compliments! We know how Mr. Ice is, so when he says, well you look feminine enough, he actually means, "oh my god, you are a goddess and I think you are the most beautiful person in the world." Hahah!

Also, I love that Chu Qiao was all pouty when he put the veil on her, like she really wanted to show off to him how nice she looked. While, knowing YWY, even if Chu Qiao is not wanted by everyone on earth he'd still want to cover her up so no one else could see her!

OMG! I'm dying over here! Yuwen Yue!! Who knew he could be such a sly, romantic, seductive guy! I LOVE that he basically picks out a super pretty and girly outfit for her and has her do makeup and all. What's so funny is the difference between Chu Qiao's reaction to YWY versus every other guy. If YX or any other guy asks her to dress up, she puts up so much more of a fight! And the difference between YWY and the other guys? When Chu Qiao says, "let go!" they let go, while YWY says, "no, I won't let go!" I LOVED their banter back and forth with her basically naked but wrapped up in curtain and jealously asking if YWY likes the pretty girl inside the closet. And when he grabbed her and basically back-hugged her when she tried to leave? Or when he told her, ok, I'll SHOW you that I'm a man if you really want. lol~ OMG. We definitely needed these moments.

And no, Chu Qiao did not seem as angry with him as she was before. Even the fact that she didn't leave in the night and just sat there stuffing her face with breakfast.. LOL~. And she gave this excuse that well, YWY said Wei Shuye was there was so see through. Come on girl, you know you didn't want to leave. Their onscreen chemistry is just off the charts. I love these two!

YWY's confession is so heartfelt. If our girl doesn't get a clue about YWY's feelings towards her after this then I don't know what. And I think this confession is even more meaningful because we know that the 3 years he spent on the border thinking Xing'er was dead was probably torturous for him. So there is real meaning behind his words when he says he won't be able to handle the news if he finds out she is killed. He probably doesn't ever want to live through that emotional pain and grief again.

Ah~ ok. Got it. It's so confusing how they do this. I just wish they'd stick with one or the other. I watched Ep TV48 and it contained the first part of the bathroom scene and I was just like, hey, what's going on!

I'm a little confused about the episodes. So, the most recent Uncut English Sub version is episode 43 but it states that it is (TV version 47-48) and there is no Episode 44 of the Uncut Eng Sub available. But, Ep 43 is not TV versions 47-48, it is only Ep. 47 of the TV version. Neither TV versions 47 and 48 are Eng Subbed. So, does anyone know why we are missing Ep 44 Uncut Eng Sub version? Or if not, whether they'll Sub Eps 47-48? I'm sure they will right? I'm just wondering for tomorrow's episode 49, because the whole bathroom scene with YWY and CQ start at the end of Episode 48 and I'd like to get the Eng Sub because it's unclear whether CQ or YWY know it's each other at all since they just both happen to be at the same place at the same time: CQ to find her new friend and escape and YWY just to res up for the night in his search for CQ and sit in a hot tub that's apparently good for treating his cold illness?

SO, since it's weekend soon, and we're all going to be biting our nails for Monday's episodes, in the meantime, anyone catch any of the variety shows with our leads? I watched some with ZLY - that girl just loves to eat! I heard her nickname is "baozi" meaning dumpling. lol~ And then Lin Geng Xin... I know now what a phenomenal actor he is because it seems in real like he is totally totally different from Yuwen Yue! Not that I expected them to be the same, but it's such as contrast because he has such a strong jawline he looks very mature and serious! But no... he's pretty hilarious. He's incredibly adorkable, goofy and just plain silly! I watched him in the Chinese Running Man and also Let Me Go Baby and he's just a plain silly dork (in the best way possible). Let Me Go Baby doesn't have subtitles so it's a bit hard to understand (and is it just me or do Chinese people slur a lot when they speak in real life?) but I'm enjoying them. Anyone else watch these variety shows and could recommend others?

I know these are just theories, but my take was she was sneaking around to get somewhere else, and then YY called for the new made to give him a massage, and she got a little jealous. That's why later she calls him a pervert. I don't think YY knew it was CQ until he saw scars on her back and then for sure when she was laying on the bed and he was falling towards her and the curtain unveiled her face, bc before that she was trying to hide her face during the fight. And YY has had other female assassins (e.g. ep 1) so he may have thought it was just another assassin. Just my own interpretation. :) Can't wait until Monday to really find out! I swear if this is another 30 second hoax like the last time I'm going to throw a fit.

She basically calls him a pervert, and he says something like you're the one who came into a man's bedroom (i.e., to you started the seduction), but of course, you're the righteous one. Then she glares at him, and he says are you not satisfied? Then, come on. And that's when she kicks him. And when he goes to open the closet door she says there's someone in there. It's so cute. Based on the preview before she goes to the bedroom I think she hears that a new maid is supposed to serve YY? And when she is trying to sneak into another room, YY calls to her (thinking she is the new maid) and says heard you're good with a massage, come and give me one. That's loosely what I think I heard. Which makes me think CQ was a bit jealous and was like, punkass I'll show you a massage. But YY is right. Technically, CQ undressed him first when she loosened his robe for the massage. lol~

LOL! I know right? And towards the end of that bedroom fight CQ is throwing pillows and stuff at him and he's just blocking himself, like cut it out. Nothing serious at all. I swear, it's always like a lover's quarrel and nothing serious at all.

I have to agree, I love YWY. He doesn't treat the female lead as a delicate flower or some nonsense like that. He treats her equally, and if she needs help he'll give it but he's pretty much like you handle it on your own. I'll give you my advice and what I think but you make your own decisions. So I love the pairing with CQ. He's so snarky and they both give each other shit but never in a way you feel like it's out of line. It borders it but you can kind of tell they don't really mean it and they're just doing it to get a rise out of each other.
