Finally all cut up and dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggg Yan Xun....dannnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!…
LOL!! I love your thoughts on this drama. Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel too. Especially all of the "ugh" and the "oh no!" and the "dang it!" and the "noooo!!"s. And I love the "drug addict with vampire teeth." Hah! So funny. I thought I was the only one who thought he had vampire teeth!

Any guys loving this drama so far? Coz i recommended this to my brother and he likes stuff like game of thrones.…
I'd recommend this to your brother. He may not be keen on the CGI and some of the special effects (Chinese dramas are trying to increase the production value on these dramas and this one and Fighter of Destiny are much better quality then others but may not compare yet to Korean or American dramas). That said, if you want "no characters are safe" and people are just killed if the story calls for it, then this is for you. That's basically the calling card of Game of Thrones that made it so enticing to the viewers and I found that to be similar in this drama. Also, the intrigue, the strong characters and the plot pacing is pretty great and similar to GOT, although not as complex or well-executed (but HBO has a multi-million dollar budget for GOT so not a fair comparison). So I think this will be a good historical piece to start him on. It's definitely one of the better made, if not the best made in the recent many years, that I have seen. I don't recommend The Mystic Nine or any of the other fantasy wuxia dramas. The story and pacing of Mystic Nine is incredibly slow, irrelevant and illogical as a story. I tried to keep with it bc I really like Zhao Liying and William Chan but I just couldn't get through it. Also, some of the fantasy wuxia dramas have bad CGI and focus too much on CGI and looking pretty than character development or story so I personally found them unimpressive. I think Princess Agents is a great starter piece. Fighter of Destiny is very well paced and made as well, with a central plot point. But I thin he'd enjoy Princess Agents more despite some of the love elements.

I used to love Yan Xun but now im alk about Yuwen Yue... Thats why im not watching until Xing er and Yuwen patch…
I feel like this week will focus more on some logistics of bringing all the characters back in form after 3 years away, as well as testing out Yuwen Yue and Chu Qiao's rekindling. Then I feel like next week will be more about YWY and CQ as well as Yan Xun's development towards revenge and cruelty. Then I think it will have to be the war and the piecing together of Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue's identity. My personal thoughts, not a spoiler or anything.

I actually went through all sorts of password recovery just so I could log in here and comment. I'm on to…
I agree that this is Zhao Liying's best role so far! When she was first cast, people had doubts about whether she'd be able to portray such a strong character and I think she's proven everyone wrong. I definitely love her as Chu Qiao, she is doing a great job portraying vulnerabilities as well as her strength. She's not just a big strong woman. She is someone who has gone through some really cruel and tough times and has survived them all with the determination of someone who really wants to live and will do everything she can to follow through on her beliefs and sense of right and wrong. You can clearly see the character's development as well as have a strong sense who this character is through ZLY's acting. Even her big big pretty eyes which could normally be considered just cute she uses to portray both innocence as well as resolve and determination. I'm really loving ZLY as Chu Qiao. Also, I didn't know how I'd feel about Lin Geng Xin. Never seen him in anything and didn't really like the way he looked but he's really grown on me as a character. More so than Yan Xun, who I had seen in a movie before and liked more initially. Now I feel like Yuwen Yue (Lin Geng Xin) is much more interesting and has more depth than Yan Xun.

When will Xing Er remember who she is?
Yeah right?? The beginning episodes were great about revealing bits about that but after Yan Xun's story they seem to have forgotten about it. When is she going to remember her identity and will she ever get all her powers back???

Does anyone else feel like YWY looks better with his hair down then up? LoL. I look his original look in the beginning.…
Haha! I have the exact opposite thought! I think he looks SO much better with his hair up then down. He just looks younger and more like a fighter than just a "gong zhi". I also like his clothes better. The sleeves are tapered and everything is a lot less flowy.

I didn't watch this week episodes yet, but i saw some parts. when yuwen yue found xinger's ring in that…
Yeah, me too! I don't think he was hiding out in that building, I think he just goes there but I did wonder what the heck the grandfather was doing when shit was literally going down for everyone. And also during the 3 years Yuwen Yue was sent to the border.

I just watched episode 24. And honestly Yan Xuan can be as evil as he wants at this point. They killed his whole…
So far I've been pretty impressed by the pacing and direction. There is a purpose to every conflict and there don't seem to be too many wasted and irrelevant scenes or plot points. I think part of this is because the story rests on two very simple but focused arcs: revenge and recovery of one's identity (this can be literal for Xing'er or analytical for all of the characters). Since there is a lot of ground to cover for each character and story progression, I think they have enough material to take it all the way to 58+ episodes.

I feel bad for the adorable Princess. She's so sweet to YX, helped him every time she can and remained on…
I have a feeling he's going to do something incredibly degrading and cruel to her that I can only guess at.

Okay so in the trailer Xinger is in the water with someone and he pushes her back I want to know who he is and…
Based on the nose, I'm going to guess Yuwen Yue ;) By the way, has anyone noticed how small Yuwen Yue's teeth are?? They're tiny! They remind me of the kid from Stranger Things, y'all know who. It's such a stark contrast to Yan Xun who has large teeth. :)

The uncuts have "[未删减版]" this in the title caption. Even if you can't read Chinese just look for the characters.

YWY: Do you remember me? me: flips everything, leave her YWY and come to me ;(
Haha! Yeah, I know. They play that song every time there is a sentimental moment between the two. I've been singing it out loud at times. But now, did you notice? Yan Xun and Chu Qiao also have a song.

Does this get better ? because i'm on ep 3 and everything looks and sounds fake and over the top so far.
Then don't watch it. It's a style thing and it's clearly not your style.

I actually still find her annoying. I mean, girl, have some sense. His ENTIRE family was BRUTALLY massacred by your father. Don't go on a visit and throw a tantrum bc he's not "happy" or "joking" with you. Like, seriously? Credit to Yan Xun for not smacking her. I mean, I get what she was doing but, hey girl, too soon. If you have to mourn for a member of a family for a year then that's about 10 years he still has to go before he feels better. There were ALOT of heads on the stage.

Title Princess Agents Spoiler
I feel so bad for Yuwen Yue. I should be feeling bad for Yan Xun, but I am just like poor Yuwen Yue.
Yes, but that's his character flaw right? Every hero has a tragic flaw that he must fix as the story progresses. YWY doesn't trust anyone and doesn't ask for anyone's help. He thinks he can solve every problem for everyone, esp for people he cares about. That's why he didn't tell Yan Xun what the emperor was thinking - bc he thought he could fix it and change the emperor's mind. He also didn't tell Xing'er about the truth of Linxi's death (I have a feeling there is more to his death, i.e., Linxi knew he was dying and asked YWY to kill him). And bc he couldn't tell her his grandfather was alive he couldn't tell her that his grandfather wanted him to send her off to Liang as a suicide spy. Instead, he says, I have to kill those Liang spies myself so Xing'er won't be sent away. He even gets injured during this process but Xing'er doesn't know all this. Therefore, she misunderstands him and takes drastic steps to gain her freedom and leave with Yan Xun. He needs to learn, and hopefully as the story progresses he will, learn to trust others more, to communicate and learn to lean on others. Both Yan Xun and Xing'er have their flaws too. But I think that's what's great about this story and it's working so well with the audience. It's a great story where all of the characters have flaws and the story is a journey that helps them to resolve, either to their benefit or otherwise, those flaws. That's classic storytelling and one that the viewer can get captivated by. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this drama.

I felt relief for YWY when the Eyes of God were burning down. I feel like he spent his whole life being cold and not trusting anyone or getting close bc of the responsibility of not only his family but as the keeper of all these secrets. (Remember the riddle he picked out during the lantern festival about secrets?). I feel like he felt freedom. He thought he lost the woman he cared about all bc of that stupid Eyes of God. I'm sure he was like, "F- this shit."

Yeah, I usually don't cry over dramas but man, episodes 24 and 25 were brutal. I mean, both Yan Xun and Xing'er really suffered. I hope they get revenge. But I really want Xing'er to become her own leader, regain her powers, her identity and rightful position - whatever it may be, although I gotta think it's a lost princess bc why else would the title be "princess" agent.

YWY: Do you remember me? me: flips everything, leave her YWY and come to me ;(
I know! The look on his face! He thought she was dead for 3 years!! I'm like what??? Monday?? No!!!! I know it's no spoiler that they end up together at the end (look, this is in the Wikipedia page) but I know the drama doesn't follow the book and who knows what will happen in between! They're killing me! I know Xing'er has feelings for YWY. And he has done so much for Yan Xun and Xing'er behind the scenes. I hope she see that soon!
