This drama is killing me, it's so awesome. They storytelling is fantastic! Not too many dull irrelevant plot points, it's all very focused. So far they've done a great job of keeping track in revealing Chu Qiao's identity in parts. I hope it continues and that we get to see this badass lady get her full power back so she can be even more badass! Next week is going to be brutal for Yan Xun but lots to look forward to for us.

Is it just me, or does Xing 'er's 8th Sister seem ready to back stab Xing 'er any second. She seems selfish and like she will sell Xing 'er out.

I am addicted to this waiting for next subbed episodes. thanks God that recently Chinese drama becoming subbed…
Yeah, I definitely appreciate that Chinese dramas are being shown on YouTube almost immediately after it airs and that people are subbing it for the fans within the day. I wish I could thank the subbers for their hard work!!

I wonder when they're gonna explain how her tattoo vanished
They already did. In the episode with the Snow Jade Dog - the doctor said she has incredible inner powers, the origins of which he cannot identify, and he said that this inner power was sealed because of an injury she received. Indeed, in episode 1 during the first 3 minutes when she falls in the water, she hits her head hard, you see blood coming out of her head, and then her tatoo disappears. Yeah, it's easy to miss bc it goes quick but I watched that scene a few times bc I was confused about it too and that's when I caught it.

Can someone please tell me if in the books she gets her powers back?? It's driving me nuts having to wait. Her identity and powers are clearly a big point in the story bc they keep revealing pieces of it. I hope it's not one of those dramas where they go thru this whole set up and then end up abandoning it. I get that Yuwen Yue is "teaching" her kung fu but based on episode 1 she seems to be stronger than Yuwen Yue - when she gets her memory and powers back at 100%. Based on the latest episodes 11 and 12, there's huge back story about her that we're missing! Will the drama address this?? Does the novel?? AGH! I'm curious!

If you wonder if you should watch this drama i will only say one thing; wait for all the episodes to be out before…
Yeah me too! And it's even more annoying (not in a bad way) because the non-English version always has about 10 minutes more than the English version. So I end up watching/skimming thru the non-English version first to find out what's going on (bc these come out on YouTube by Noon) and then go back and watch the English subbed ones in the evening (both episodes tend to be subbed by like 11pm). I know - what the heck am I doing? I feel addicted. AND CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL IF SHE GETS ALL HER FIGHTING SKILLS BACK?

I'm really liking this drama so far, but I still have no clue after 12 eps why it's called "Princess…
It's because in the original story - which is a novel - the main character is a secret agent in modern times that gets killed in action/assignment but she then time-travels back in history into the body of Chu Qiao. I didn't get the title either until I read the comments below about the original story. They took the time travel and agent element out of the drama apparently bc of China's ban on time travel stories.

On Ho Goo's Love Jun 12, 2017
One note to add to my earlier comment: if you just want the stereotypical love triangle, mean guy/girl and nice guy/girl dynamic with a predictable ending then this isn't that type of fluff. There is personal growth and development in the characters and there is a reason why at the end of each episode, what starts as only the main character saying, "My name is Ho Goo, Kang Ho Goo" it changes to all of the characters at some point saying they are Ho Goo is because at some point in everyone's life, they change and mature and sacrifice in the name of love, be it romantic love, parental love, friendship, etc. So much that you become a ho goo (aka "a fool"). For those who have read the comments below but want something more then go to Dramabeans.com for the episode commentary and recap. There IS a reason why this drama is rated so high. It actually has depth and substance. Not just silly cliched, stereotypical love triangle nonsense that we see all the time from dramas these days.

What a fantastic drama. The storytelling, the characters and the amazing main character Ho Goo so excellently played by Choi Woo Shik. Didn't know much about him until this drama but I think I'm a fan now. All the characters were great and the plot, the pacing, the direction, editing and the careful and thoughtful way they developed the story. Who the heck was the writer, director and editor? I need to watch all of their stuff now. It's that fantastic! If you haven't watched Ho-Goo's Love yet, definitely watch it! You will not regret it. I'm so glad I watched it. I was initially turned off by it 2 years ago because of the way they marketed this as another fluffy "mean girl nice boy" rom-com. That's NOT true, at all! Who are the marketers for this dramas?? That's totally not what it's about. It has so much substance, feels, depth, emotion, as well as humor and cuteness but overall, it's the story that will catch you. How original and how well-made. 12/10!!!

I'm curious about this remake. Every time I watched a Chinese remake of a Korean drama I like it better. The Chinese tend to do realistic better than Koreans (i.e., the dialogue and female characters tend to be more real and a lot less super cute or super naive or super one extreme personality characteristic or another). At least with modern dramas. Historic pieces are a completely different story. And I love both Korean and Chinese dramas.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Wow, didn't even realize there was a time travel element originally, or that China has a ban on time travel dramas. I was a bit confused about the beginning and wondering what was going on since she seemed like she was a super martial arts expert then she fell in the water and hit her head, but then she seemed to have lost her powers and her memory? I think it gets a bit sorted out in ep 7 and 8 but still I'd appreciate any gap-filling here by anyone who's read the novel. Also, I agree that I wish they'd stop with the maids squabbling nonsense. I don't know if it adds much to the story progress. Also, not many scenes with Yan Xun so far, not sure how they develop into believable lovers if they have 0 screen time. I find Yue really boring. I hope he gets better. I like Zly as the main character. I think she's a good actress. In fact, I think I decided to give this a go since she was in it. I do think it would be nicer to have her a bit fiercer in some scenes but she does come off strong in the scenes where she needs to portray strength. He face is so feminine and cute that I think it might be hard though. So far, I'm enjoying it but I hope it doesn't fall into the typical Chinese drama trap of going on for episodes about irrelevant stuff (i.e., maids fighting) and just focus on the plot progress and character development.

I think this is one of the best Chinese dramas out there this year. Finally, they understand that it's about the story and not CGI effects. Not to say there aren't any CGI but the actors look like they do most of the stunts using wires so it looks more authentic and old school. But mostly, I love that there is actually a plot and progress in the storytelling. Many times these Chinese dramas, I scratch my head and say why the heck is the character acting that way? It seems stupid and silly. But here there aren't any gimmicks and there is a clear reason for the character's motivation, especially the main character. That's always a great way to tell a story. Also, I know I've read all this nonsense about the acting and frankly I think they do a decent job. Luhan does a credible good job, and I wish the main girl had a little more facial expression but overall it's not terrible acting like the media makes it out to be. I mean, they're young actors. They need to act to get better and I'm sure they will. We can't just say young actors can't act and not cast them. That's silly. Some of the greatest actors now really stunk when they first started so I'm not bothered by the acting at all. And like I said, they do a good enough of a job that I don't really notice it. In fact, I think Luhan acts his character in a way that is believable and in line with the character's temperament.

Wow! Much better than I thought. I was watching it for Luhan but the story is actually really good. They pay attention to the flow of the narrative and the main theme or point of the story - which a lot of Chinese dramas tend to ignore and let the side stories make the whole story boring. Here, everything the hero does and each substory has a reason and a plot that links to the main story so it's really interesting to watch. The production value also seems quite high - less CGI and a lot more real wire stunts. The quality is SO great! I'm also really enjoying Luhan and his portrayal of the character. He's nuanced, detailed and just acting the character really well. Totally recommend it! I hope it does well in the ratings!

Just to double check, there's no rape in it is there?
No, there isn't. I read a review about the old version of Kluen Cheewit and was really worried about that scene but the director (who is female) handled it really very well. Watching it you get the sense that they both love each other and it is all clearly consensual but there are a lot of hurt feelings, guilt, anger and emotional complexities. What's great about this lakorn is that there are so many complex emotions involved and both actors do a fantastic job digesting it and expressing the complexities clearly to the audience. So as a viewer, I felt it was consensual and felt both of the character's emotional confusion. Also, I thought the scene was well done because both the guy and the girl were equal in their interaction, no aggressor, no victim.

Why is it low ranked though? It's actually ranked #12469 yet the score is 8.8?? Does it need more users'score…
I was just wondering who the heck brought the rating down!? This drama is 10 in my book (even with the shrill and jealous sister screaming all the time). I hope the fans vote it up!

I want to watch it, but I admit it's a bit weird knowing she's a ghost. Do u guys recommend it?
You should watch it! The ghost thing is worked in pretty well to the story. I initially didn't like the girl but she got much better and her interactions with main male lead is super adorable.

I really liked this lakorn! I originally started watching because of Mark Prin (I mean, after Kluen Cheewit, aren't we all?) but the story was actually pretty good and well-written. Mark Prin did a great job as Yeeo and his chemistry with Bella was really cute. I recommend this for anyone who is on a Kluen Cheewit withdrawal and nothing else really compares but still wants some Mark Prin somewhere in their life. ;)

Apparently this drama did very well in the ratings and solidified Mark and Kimmy's fantasy couple pairing (and perhaps real life pairing as well). Apparently Kob's character is close to Mark Prin's real life personality.
