I'm on ep 3 and finding this hard to keep my interest
decided to just read the recaps for eps 4-15 and watch the finale. this seemed to have all the elements of a drama I'd love: lee bo young, kim seo hyung, strong/empowered yet humanized female leads, family secrets, murder mystery, beautiful ost...but it just couldn't keep my attention
regardless, the final episode had many scenes that had me a bit teary and i guess that serves as some testament to the talent of the screenwriter. such a shame!
Great drama, although I agree with others saying the characters lacked complexity/depth. It was also very evident what was going to happen early on from the introduction of Korn Group at the girls school. It gets boring watching the big bad conglomerate funnel money to a politician storyline (or the other way around) done a million times. Despite that, the unfolding of the 2010 events was well done. Definitely had me emotional
What was missing was character development - what DROVE the characters to do what they did? Why was Jiang Yang…
Couldn't agree more. We should've gotten a motivation and backstory for Zhu Wei and Dr. Chen too.
It was also weird to me that we found out about Jiang Yang's marriage and child off screen just shortly before his child was kidnapped. There was a lack of buildup that was missing in the writing for me but I still enjoyed this drama.

the character comes back later in the season with a different wig and without his black entourage but still speaks the same
