Title Heesu in Class 2 Spoiler
Am I weird for thinking it's Ji Yu?
If you think about it, she has no motive. In fact, she cherishes her anonymity, as she has a secret persona called Summer. She and Hee Su both have secrets to keep. She'd relate to Hee Su, not want to expose him, as she wouldn't want that for herself.

She wouldn't out him either as she is friends with Seung Won, she keeps Seung Won's sexuality quiet and seems to be an understanding ally. So why not be an ally to Hee Su too?

The blackmailer wants Hee Su to confess. Ji Yu likes Chan Young, she wouldn't want Hee Su to confess on this basis as well, as she would create unnecessary competition for herself.

Ji Yu is meant to be a red herring. Especially because of the last scene where she shows Seung Won the secret photo she took of him. That is meant to make you draw a correlation, but the difference is Ji Yu openly showed Seung Won the photo. The blackmailer wouldn't do that.

SECOND PARAGRAPH! ! THIS ! Especially when that stalker took his picture in the class RIGHT ON THE MOMENT, he…
I think Ji Yu is a red herring because they made it so obvious at the end she was taking sus pictures, that they want you to make a correlation. We shall see!

this went from a cute funny bl drama to guessing game real quick lol are we supposed to spend a whole week by…
I have a feeling we had to be put through multiple scenes of Chan Young playing tennis because of the tennis racket being a product placement. Its company is a sponsor of the show, so they must do this for business purposes, forfeiting story. Same with the carrot juice. This is boring because we are sitting through 40 minutes of commercials. 🙃😬

heesu is a stupid nd seungwon is a scaredy cat
Seung Won was being a bit of a stalker this episode (not really but he has shades of it). It's not romantic in my opinion. The initial premise of getting love advice is being under utilized. He has the excuse to be around Hee Su, he does not need to follow him… I hope they flesh out Seung Won's character and they get romantic scenes.
On Heesu in Class 2 Apr 5, 2025
The straight couple wasn't even Chan Young/Ji Yu, it was Chan Young/Tennis 🙃 Such a boring, predictable character he is. The pacing and structure are all off.

Who could be the blackmailer? That skatepark girl was eliminated, I guess? Hee Su didn't do much digging into that, or in fact any investigating. He was so passive about such a pressing matter. If I were being blackmailed/threatened, I'd want to get to the bottom of it quickly.

The issue with the writing is that the characters have one mode throughout the entire episode instead of building action, evolving the goal, and leveling up the obstacles. Due to this, the story feels repetitive. They could have fleshed out Hee Su's goal of pretending to date someone, instead, they had him do it so late in the episode…

Anyways, what other suspects are on the list? It could be someone Hee Su has given bad advice to, or just advice in general. We previously had a lesbian character who could be intuitive about his feelings. One of Chan Young's exes? Or the person in love with Hee Su sending him the carrot juice? They must give us clues next episode.

Oof, didn't feel the same warm and fuzzies I did as for the first two episodes. Could be because: - Hee Su is…
I agree. I also didn't like how Hee Su was physically pushing Seung Won around this episode, too. It's one thing to be annoying with his suggestions, but it's another to push someone around literally. It was too overt.
I skipped that one lengthy scene with Chan Yeong and Ji Yu towards the end, when they sat down together. Could not care less.
Is it just me, or does Chan Yeong AND Seung Won come off so milquetoast? This episode was Seung Won's POV, and I still feel like I know nothing about him.

Seeing the controversy and not wanting to get my ass beaten: I'm a lesbian. When i start a queer show, I don't…
Yes, I understand. I hope the BL industry doesn't lose focus and become generic. I want them tackling queer themes, issues, and romance as their main priority. I like when there are straight or other LGBTQIA supporting characters but the romance is queer. Hopefully, GLs will have the same respect as BLs and not be fast-tracked into this trend.

I know a lot of BL audiences are straight women, maybe they (the producers) are misguided into thinking that it is appealing to them (when the entire reason they love BL is escapism from gender, for hot boys, or allyship). As for the queer audience, it just causes dissociation and feels like it is encroaching upon their limited space for expression.

All in all, however, the hetero-romance has been a plot device to create heartbreak and propel Hee Su into Seung Won's arms in episodes 1 & 2. Their screen time has been over quickly. If it gets to be more time than a c-plot, then I'll be disappointed and skip them. Not solely because they're straight (I like watching straight romances when I choose to), but because I hate irrelevant secondary relationships that mean nothing to the plot.

Seeing the controversy and not wanting to get my ass beaten: I'm a lesbian. When i start a queer show, I don't…
I get what you mean as a queer person myself. SO FAR, the hetero-couple isn't getting too much screen time for it to be annoying; in addition, the guy in this couple is said to be bisexual (??? don't take that as fact). In my eyes, that is still queer representation IF they don't erase his bisexuality. We shall see if I'll be disappointed. I also want the lesbian storyline to continue.

This show has some BL elements, but it is more of a generic, inclusive LGBTQ drama with a token straight couple. Advertised as such in the poster and trailer. It's different than the webtoon, which is strictly BL. I was under the impression that the straight and gay couple would have equal screentime, but I'm pleasantly surprised that is not the case as of yet.

Do I wish the romance was just queer? Yes. But I also don't care for utopian queer stories. The struggle of a gay guy having a childhood crush on a straight guy has a grounded relatability I appreciate. Also, if indeed Chan Young is bi, the nuance of masking, code switching, and confusion could play out (probably won't though, lol, the writing is the weakest part of this show).

As a side note, straight relationships being viewed from a queer perspective is interesting to me, when either the writer/director or main character is queer. Like they can still represent queer themes even though they are straight. Since I'm getting a generic feel, maybe that won't be the case. IDK.

I don't care, i just want Bi Chanyeong now. Let him be our Bisexual male hot
I'm already getting bisexual vibes. He asked Hee Su out (jokingly) and is always flirting with him. So far, they've honored gays and lesbians. They seem to be going for all kinds of inclusivity. I don't see why they'd leave bisexuals out. If he ends up with the girl, I just hope they make sure to portray him as bisexual.

Whoever made that trailer should be fired. I wasn't expecting much, but it's cute and funny so far.
And the poster 😂

Right now, this show is "meh" but not offensively bad by any means. Good production value and the acting by the main lead is engaging (he has a personality folks 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻). It just feels generic and doesn't feel romantic, I don't feel any chemistry, so far. Otherwise, it's an alright dramedy. I wish the lesbians had a bigger role; that one actress/character stood out the most besides Hee Su.

i'm not a fan of the poster's layout. if i were in charge, i'd place the gay couple at the top. the forced "straight"…
Your right. I can't tell if this is straight-baiting or actual straight washing. It's been so long since I read the manwha. I remember the one guy he had a crush on turned out to be straight or not interested? I can't remember. I hate stories with multiple couples and the manwha wasn't like that at all. I'll be skipping the straight stories, I know that already. It'd be okay if the straight characters were supporting, but the poster makes them look like main leads…Disappointed.

Another one - I cannot believe Jae Min actually surprised me in the last episode 🤣I thought I had him figured…
Our king was picky and had standards 💅🏼 He wanted everything to be how he imagined in his head like a postcard or catalog picture.
Fr, though, in his heart of hearts he knew, that because in the past he always approached Da On first, he saw Da On first, he groomed Da On, etc etc so that the Da On he got was what he manipulated him to be. Not Da On's real love and affection, and that bothered him. That's why he knew Da On didn't really love him and couldn't accept that (it wasn't a rejection (that's only what the audience thought at first), but a realization that pushed him down a crazier path). Also, I don't think he could ever get over that first wound of Da On liking Su Hyeon first, it was the ultimate betrayal in his mind because Da On should've been his first. So he had trust/resentment issues.
I also liked that Jae Min turned out to be obsessed first. I always wondered why he ran to say he would tutor Da On unprovoked… now we know 🤡
I am starting a Jae Min fan club.

That was the icing on the cake! Chef's kiss 🤌🏻

It was good.Although I have one critic which is Su Hyeon stepping back when Jaemin came at him considering he…
I think the difference is one was a selfish act, the other required some selflessness. Su Hyeon has a history of cowardice. He left Da On and went overseas because he was too much of a coward to face his family. He also beat up that guy cause he was possessive of Da On. It falls in line with his character that he wouldn't sacrifice himself. The only thing that was off for me was how he exited the show with a smile. The life-changing event he went through warrants a change in outlook, but he should've been gutted to give up the love of his life and lick his wounds. Su Hyeon's final act of sacrifice, leaving Da On, shouldn't feel as heroic as it did; nevertheless, it does feel complete and motivated.

Thank god they left Jae Min a freak 🙏🏻 I had some doubts but they pulled through. It's crazy that Jae Min is my favorite character, I think all the props have to go to the actor who managed to pull that off (in another person's hands, it could've been annoying).
The best KBL so far. Soon I hope they will make more stories not based on cliché manwha; however, they did what they could with this cheesy source material and elevated it. I can't mark points off for that (if I did, every BL score would be low).
I really appreciate this young director who is slowly making waves. I now look forward to whatever she does next.
