Anyone else get vibes from Ju Ri that she is also Not Okay in some way? But is better at pretending to be Okay?
i think she hates the female lead but dont want to admit it.. she wants to be the better person out of the two so she just bares with the female lead but the fl's interest in ml is getting on her nerves and by seeing the precap it seems like she finally lost it..
I’m sorry but which part of her having ASPD did you not understand? Manipulation is literally one of the characteristics…
i am also loving this drama and till ep 4 it is going really well.. i read a little bit about aspd and it made me understand the female lead and her behavior more..
Should I start watching this? I am very busy so I want only the best. Honest opinion please.
i personally am loving this drama.. i am not a big fan of either of the leads so didnt start watching it for the actors.. the trailers were amazing so i thought of giving it a try.. the drama is shot in a different and interesting way and the actors are doing a fab job.. also if you decide to watch it then i recommend you to search about 'anti-social personality disorder' so that you get a better understanding of the female lead.. else you might think she is too negative..
You can't force people's feelings. If FL and ML are falling in love, then they should be together. Of course ML…
its ep 4 and till now she hasnt interfered in their relationship.. infact even after the gf falsely accuses her, she didnt go and beat the gf up when its clear that she dont stand still when injustice happens to her.. neither she badmouthed about the gf when daehyun cleared all the misunderstanding.. she started working on the store before she knew he had a gf and even after knowing, her sole purpose is to bring profit to the store so that deahyun wont have a hard time and also she is very true to any job she does.. just compare how she behaves around daehyun and how the director behaves around daehyun's girlfriend.. that guy clearly is more actively pursuing the gf than saetbyul pursuing daehyun.. also the gf clearly knows that the director is interested in her and she still goes to have family dinner with him.. on the other hand daehyun is completely unaware of seatbyul's feelings.. she dont flirt with him.. by ep 4 its kind of clear that she just wants to be in his good books.. she clearly behaves like an over enthusiastic kid around him and dont have any planning or plotting going on in her head.. she dont romanticize any of their physical interactions and hasnt done anything but good things for daehyun..
also even in real life a lot of people makes move on committed people.. to respond to it or not is in the hands of the committed person.. her she didnt even make any more except for saving his business.. she dont even ask him about how his relationship with his gf goes or anything about his family... also relationships are not black and white.. here if daehyun starts getting emotionally attached to seatbyul then the girlfriend also has a role in it because she was never emotionally there for him or supported him.. it took her 2 years to be sure that she wants to be serious about him whereas he has invested in her all this time.. when the couple are not on the same boat then with to without a 3rd person that relationship wears off and a 3rd person will only speed up the process or make one of the person in the relationship give an early realisation that they are not meant to be..
The problem is that there are people here who are arguing that no sexual harassment exist on this show when it…
all am saying is this is a fictional drama and there is no need to bring morals and ethics into it.. the female lead might not be the nicest sweetest thing out there but that doesnt mean everyone has to character assassin her to this level and degrade the entire drama.. all the things that she had done is nothing compared to the behavior of male leads from super successful kdramas( or for that matter a lot of western dramas as well).. the director of this drama is same as the fiery priest and in that also they has a male lead with temper issues and the other 2 leads were morally corrupt in this initial episodes but it was one of the best kdramas out there.. so a drama dont need to have morally intact characters to be a good drama.. by episode 4 its pretty clear that her way of doing things is not something a well mannered person finds correct but she is someone who can be easily misjudged if she goes around explaining herself to people.. she lost her father at a young age and seems like grew up without a mother and she is not from a financially stable household.. she might not realize that some of her actions are at times on the extreme end.. she is working her ass off and looking after her sister.. still she has a better understanding of how to treat nice people well more than daehyun's girlfriend who grew up with all the privilege..
it was hard for me to get used to all the bullying and hitting on the head of subordinates.. i first though the bullying and the rich parents controlling the school in almost all high school dramas were exaggerated but then i read couple of articles highlighting these issues in korea and understood its not exaggerating anything and is very close to reality..
one thing i have learned from watching kdramas is cursing, hitting on the head, farts etc are not a biggie and is used for comedy.. seems like koreans have a different kind of sense of humor.. i have seen a lot of fart jokes in korean variety shows as well..
You can't force people's feelings. If FL and ML are falling in love, then they should be together. Of course ML…
she is not interfering in the relationship.. if she wanted she could have said that she saved the girlfriend and the gf lied.. but she never did that.. even when she confronted the gf she never did anything except indirectly telling the gf how much of a double faced person she is.. even after clearing the misunderstanding with daehyun she didnt badmouth about the gf.. the gf herself is the biggest hurdle in their relationship.. an outsider is not really necessary.. she never considers daehyun in her decisions and is the dominating one.. its pretty clear that he is way more invested in their relationship than she is.. she does have genuine feelings for him but is not that emotionally invested in the realtionship.. she dont really care about his likes or his interests..
if you are talking about the guy who came for the part-time job and him then it refers to the drama 'the fiery priest'.. these two used to be in that drama and their scenes together were hilarious in that.. they made reference to that show in that scene.. people who are not familiar with the fiery priest wont get the scene..
wow they even got gaho for the ost!also, it's my time to say I don't get people's criticism? not every character…
the female leads behavior which is due to her disorder is normal behaviors of half of the kdrama male leads.. it seems like kdrama audience has a problem if the female leads are the dominating ones.. have seen people disliking shows like swdbs and recently this one and backstreet rookie mainly because of how the female leads dont fit into the morals of the viewers.. on the other hand same people will defend any questionable behavior of the male lead even if he dont have any mental disorder..
As a guy the way she hit him and even kissed him is assault if the roles were reversed however, i still don't…
ml forcefully kissing the fl is not a big thing in kdramas.. it has been tonned down a lot and male leads for the last 3-4 yrs has been pretty decent and asks for consent.. now i guess they are going for female leads kissing the male leads out of the blue... hitting on the head is also not a big deal in korea regardless of the gender.. when i started watching kdramas i was shocked by the number of times i saw people randomly hitting each other esp seniors in office hitting their subordinates, no matter whether they are male or female..
Amazing how nobody really dies on this show. They trick us very well.
the shaman guy dies, male lead's sister dies, in the flashback his sister's bestfriend and her friend dies, almost all of the ones responsible for what happened in the past dies, the girl in the first episode dies, the male leads female friend dies.. the drama starts with murders..
The problem is that there are people here who are arguing that no sexual harassment exist on this show when it…
did you read my comment.. i clearly said that what she did was wrong but its a fictional drama and a fictional character with a 15+ tag.. on top of that she isnt shown as some innocent little girl.. there are shows and movies based on underworld and illegal activities and in some the leads themselves play gangsters and killers( which in real world can never be considered to be a quality to be a hero) and does wrong things but it doesnt mean they are promoting those crimes or illegal activities.. same way her kissing him out of the blue dont promote sexual harrasment.. also being a teenager does matter.. there is a reason why there are different laws for people below 18 and over 18.. even in criminal cases the verdict is passed considering the past of the convict.. so yes a person's background and their upbringing matters a lot on the way they behave.. half of the international fans came into kdramas after watching dramas like boys over flowers( where the male lead bullies her to the level she almost gets raped by some guys, he himself physically assaults her, forcefully kisses her when she was trying to give him cpr etc etc), secret garden( where the guy is rude and arrogant and narcissist and blames the female lead for him having feelings for her), playful kiss (where in every 5 mins the guy insults the girl, he kisses her without her consent), heirs (kisses her forcefully multiple times) nd the list goes on.. almost all the famous kdramas have much problematic things than a teenage girl girl giving a mild kiss to a stranger.. the only difference is that more than half of those problemtic things were done by the MLs so everyone turned a blind eye towards it.. like slap and kiss in thai dramas, these kind of things happen in kdramas and much more weird stuff happens in jdramas.. korean dramas are primarily made for koreans and not international fans.. this drama is based on an adult webtoon and i guess the outer storyline was revealed when the news of the drama came out.. everyone had an option of watching it or not..
recently the only dramas i watched without skipping any episode were memorist and the fiery priest.. almost all the other dramas i have been fast forwarding a lot..
