this is not a cultural thing to start with.. it depends on individual families to decide the amount of freedom they want to give to their kids.. there are a lot of kid that go abroad to study after high school inside and outside asia.. its the same.. also the ending of sky castle is to let the kids do what they want to do and parents not forcing their will and dreams on them..
woo joo is a matured guy who can take care of himself and his parents trust him..

if you like good-looking leads with amazing chemistry and decent acting skills you will like it.. i am not exactly a fan of the story but the leads were worth making me watch it till the end..

i am watching my first first love and it also shows the female lead dating the 2nd lead in s1 and ends up with the male lead in s2 but there the male lead and the female lead had a strong relationship and a lot of scenes together from the start itself.. both the guys had equal opportunity to build the chemistry with the FL.. by the end of s1 they both had 50-50 chances unlike love alarm where more than majority wants JJ and Sh to be together..
in love alarm HY and JJ at max had 30mins of scenes in a season of 8 episodes and they dont have any strong build-up either.. also all those fans who ship SH and JJ(which is majority of the viewers) wont even watch it if they come to know about who she ends up with and with netflix series you get spoilers within minutes of uploading the drama

so he wasnt as into her in the webtoon after the leap like he is in the drama?
the makers should have given more scenes to hyeyeong and jojo if they are going the webtoon way.. majority of the viewers are more invested in sunoh and jojo..
also is the storyline of the love alarm app the same in the webtoon as well? that storyline wasn't given much importance in whatever i have read so far..
also how does sunoh and hyeyeong's story goes? in both drama and webtoon i dont see true friendship b/w them and that too because of heyeyong and not sunoh.. it seemed like sunoh is some kind of job that hyeyeong has to look after and not a friend because he never opens up about his feelings to sunoh like sunoh does.. sunoh is more open and vocal in the drama..
in the webtoon sunoh is was more screwed up.. he made HY get beaten up by jojo's ex-bf just coz HY was denying his feelings to sunoh..

did the webtoon sunoh had genuine feelings for jojo??
till whatever i have read so far he dont seem to care much about her.. the drama sunoh was very genuine with his feelings for Jojo..
also did they break-up for the same reason?

he wasnt manipulative at all in the drama.. the only drawback he has in the drama is his inconsiderate nature towards HY even though he geniunly loves him.. he was a wonderful boyfriend to JJ and never hesitated in voicing his opinion..
he was indifferent towards his surrounding but not very rude..
i got to read the first 40 chapters of the webtoon on yt and even though i liked sunho the most in the drama, i didnt feel any sort of liking towards the webtoon sunoh.. he is a total jerk.. but HY is kind of responsible for making him like that..
i find the actor playing sunho very cute.. he looks like a puppy but dont find him as good-looking as people are saying.. i find the actor playing HY more handsome esp after the 4 yrs leap but sunoh has more screen presence and a better character.. so i got more interested in sunoh..

i also agree that cha eun woo is not a good actor.. he looks like a beautiful mannequin with no expressions.. my id is gangnam beauty is one of my fav drama and the only reason i liked him in it is because his chemistry with the female lead was good and his physical appearance was apt for the role.. also acting wise he didnt had to do much in it..

i loved her in strong woman do bong soon and watched her previous drama oh my ghost and her almost all of her movies as well.. for some reason i didnt watch this one..

i think the recent kdramas have pretty good kissing scenes.. bo young dont act like a stick in her kissing scenes.. her kissing scenes in oh my ghost and swdbs were also good..

her chemistry with hyungsik in swdbs is one of the best in kdrama world..

they might make him a douchebag in s2 so that people ship HY and JJ if they are intending to go with the original story because thats the only way people will stop supporting SH.. currently the popularity of SH's character and his pairing with JJ is way more popular than HY's character and his pairing with JJ.. also the chemistry b/w jj and sh is so much better than hy and jj
almost 80% of the fan made videos are for sh and jj and on insta almost all pictures are of the actor playing Sh..
Was SH as good of a bf to JJ in the webtoon as he is in the drama?

in most countries parents have to be rich for kids to go abroad.. also there is nothing strange in letting a 17 yr old go out of country to explore.. i myself ahs met a german 17 year old girl who came to india right after finishing high school..

i personally like sunoh with Jojo mainly because i think they both connect with each other more on the emotional level as they both know what's it like to have a lonely childhood and they seems to have better chemistry.. all her scenes with HY post leap was kind of boring and they dont have the same spark..
also i have seen a lot of people saying that sunoh stole his best friend's girl which is quite absurd.. she was never hyeyeong's girl.. infact she didnt even know he existed.. going by that theory we can say JJ stole SH from all those girls who had a crush on him.. if it wasn't for SH then JJ might have been continued to be in a relationship without feelings and HY would have continued to steal glace at her till their high school ended and both would have gone their separate ways..
sure sunoh saw jojo because of HY but he didnt get attracted towards her because of HY.. both their eyes met and both of them felt something.. whatever happened b/w SH and JJ it was mutual.. they both were equally attracted and curious about each other and he kissed her with her consent.. also at that moment he didnt had HY in his mind and was automatically drawn to her.. as soon as he remembered of HY he was guilty and went and told everything to HY himself.
out of the 3 sunoh is the most straightforward guy and dont play around the bushes..
also he was an almost perfect boyfriend to sunoh.. he neither tried to show her off in front of HY or was ever inconsiderate towards anything related to her.. which makes it more than clear that his liking towards SH or him getting interested in her has anything to do with HY..
also i find HY and SH's friendship one-sided and contradictory to most of the audience's believe i think its from SH.. from HY's side it seems like SH was more of his duty than a friend.. if he considered SH to be his real friend he would have at least told him that he liked JJ when SH continuously asked him or would have punched him on the face when Sh told he kissed JJ.. SH showed his anger and disappointment on HY when he came to know HY was leaving the house and going after JJ.. real friends argue and fight or at least tell them when they disapprove of something.. HY did nothing but stayed beside SH and let him do whatever he wants until he got done with it.. his character reminds me of the 2nd lead from rich man.. he was the same stayed quite and didnt say anything to the ML and later came down to the conclusion that the ML takes him for granted.. anyone would take someone for granted if he/she dont object on anything they does and let them do whatever they want because he gives off the feeling that whatever you do i will be by your side..
also HY actively approaching JJ was much worst than SH approaching JJ since except HY having crush on JJ they had no history whereas Sh and JJ were in a real relationship and SH went through a big heartbreak due to her.. the guy clearly was not over her as well..
i dont get why SH is blamed for breaking the brocode when HY did the same.. also more than JJ's reason to break up with SH i find Sh and HY's friendship absurd.. one is super possessive and inconsiderate at the same time and the other just dont open his mouth..

i liked the initial episdoes but then got bored at ep 7 or 8( 14 or 16) and then directly went to watch the last episode

he is clingy with both HY and JJ and its understandable considering how his parents are..
hyeyoung didnt had the guts for even talk to her.. clinging on to her is out of the pictur..

you know going after a girl in a bicycle and following her from her work place to bus stop without her knowledge, then stareing at her when she is not looking etc comes under stalking..
everything that happened b/w SH and JJ was mutual.. she also used to look at him and he didnt stalk her.. he was following in a way where she can clearly see him and he kissed her with her consent.. why people conveniently forget the fact that they both kissed each other and make it look like he forcefully kissed her out of the blue..

the way he was with her when they were in a relationship and the way the break up affected him clearly shows he had no ill intentions towards her.. also the way the both kept looking at each other in their 1st and 2nd encounter shows they both were attracted towards each other and he was curious of her..

she kissed him back as well eventhough she didnt know him well either.. its pretty much clear that they had instant attraction towards each other the moment they saw each other (wont call love at first sight).. they both were equally curious about each other.. his reason for kissing her had nothing to do with HY and he only remembered about HY when he saw a guy riding bike passed through him and JJ.. also he didnt hide it from HY and told him about the kiss himself.
SH might have been rude to HY but he never treated JJ in a bad way or harassed her.. he was literally the sweetest boyfriend when they were together.. he never harassed her for years.. he saw her for the first time in 4 yrs at the library and his anger is justified considering how JJ broke up with him..
SH had a traumatizing childhood like JJ.. his own much gave him alcohol mixed with drugs when he was 5-6 yrs old.. his parents showed affection only when there are cameras following them and literally made him feel like he is a burden to them..
SH and HY's friendship was not equal.. SH reaction after knowing HY approaching JJ was real and normal (he didnt hide his anger or disappointment) but HY's reaction after knowing SH kissed JJ was unreal.. throughout the show it was never shown that SH tried to show off his wealth and money to HY or made him feel like his mother works for his parents.. it was SH that used to go to HY's room and sleep wth him.. HY, on the other hand, seemed to be nice to him solely because he feels bad for SH( as he knows SH's childhood) and was looking after him because SH is the kid of the people his mother works for.. as soon as he became independent and thought he had a chance with JJ he was ready to risk his friendship with SH.. also even though SH was a little inconsiderate about HY's feelings for JJ at the start he never tried to force HY to hang out with them or showed off his relationship with JJ to HY.. he was even hesitating to talk about JJ to HY.. SH would have reconsidered him approaching JJ if HY showed any kind of anger or dissatisfaction..
if HY considered SH to be his friend he would have punched him when he came to know SH kissed JJ and it seemed like SH was even expecting a reaction from HY..

all the 3 characters are flawed but JJ and SH's flawless can be understood because of their childhood and the things they went through.. it would have been unreal if SH was a completely good guy.. considering how his parents are he is bound to be flawed..

even though i liked the characterization of sunho more i think hyeyong is hotter than sunho esp after the 4 yr leap.. he kind of looked odd as a high schooler but perfect as a college going guy.. sunho is more like a cute puppy..

its pretty much clear that both jojo and sunho got attracted to each other the moment they saw each other and sunho on multiple occasions asked hyeyeong to tell his true feelings.. also it doesnt matter who liked her first what matters who who she liked and that was sunho.. he didnt go after jojo because hyeyeong liked her but he got attracted towards her. he kissed her with her consent and they both kissed each other.. it wasnt a one way thing..
also going after the girl your bestfriend has a crush on and going after the girl your bestfriend had a proper relationship with are extremely different..
