the first 2 episodes were bang on.. i really liked it and the way it is shot.. its unique and keeps a certain kind of aura around the drama.. the female lead is complicated and gives me hotel del luna vibes which i like.. after a very long time i am following a drama thats onair.. i mostly watch the ones that finished airing.. most of the times i lose interest by episode 12-13 if i follow the drama if its onair..

the only problem i found is that in long shots kang tae is shorter than moon young but in close up shots of the two she is looking up to him.. either lessen the height of her shoes or dont know long shots or dont make her remove the heels for close-up shots.. this makes it obvious that the long shots and close-up shots were shot separately..

when was he drunk? he met his then gf, got rejected and was coming back carrying that giant sized teddy and the flowers..
i already said what she did was wrong but its not some irredeemable sin.. she was a teenager and as of ep 2 grew up on her own with her sister.. you cannot expect her to have all the morals intact.. she is like those typical korean male lead characters who does what they want..
this is a fictional show with a 15+ tag and not real life.. no one with a common sense or a little brain is gonna go and start kissing strangers after seeing a 2 min scene in a kdrama.. kdramas have been showing unrealistic stuff from its inception..

it is sexual harassment only if the person at the receiving end feels so.. clearly the male lead dont feel sexually harassed and he was kind of happy to know that he was her first kiss.. he was surprised and scared because she was still in high school but didnt feel sexually harassed.. also that was not even a proper kiss.. it was just a peek on the lips..

if so then hitting on the head is not a biggie.. again not sexual harassment..
neither the male lead nor the majority of the viewers had problem with the kiss or the head hitting..also most of the ones who have a problem with the kiss is only because she was in highschool..

under the law about 70-80% things happening in dramas and movies will be against one law or the other..
this is a fictional drama and not real life.. so the un article dont hold any significance..
going by that almost all of the Korean drama male leads will be sexual harassers and stalkers..
in my country staring at a woman for more than 5 seconds is considered to be offensive and can land that guy in legal trouble if the woman made a complaint.. if fictional dramas and movies go by that law then the concept of love at first sight and getting attracted towards each other would be in serious trouble..

true.. even the male lead from her last drama was also 13 yrs older than her and the age gap was very evident as well. here atleast its not so evident.. ji chang wook can easily pass off as a guy in his mid 20s or late 20s..
also chemistry is more important than age gap.. there are a lot of dramas were the female lead is much older than the male lead but they have amazing chemistry

she never blackmailed him with her age and also its pretty clear by now that she never called him or harassed him even though she had his number.. also she never blackmailed him or forcefully took his number.. there are more than enough movies and dramas out there were the story starts with the leads meeting for the first time and kissing.. strangers kissing is one of the most cliche thing in the world of movies..
she put her head on his shoulder.. thats totally different from rubbing the head against his body.. she didnt had any ill intentions and it was shown in an affectionate manner..
she came with the intention of getting him but she never made a move on him.. even the male lead's gf has a guy who is actively making a move on her and he is pretty direct about it as well.. again pursuing an already committed person is very common in kdramas..

for decades in kdrama land arrogant rich male leads have been forcefully kissing, stalking and controlling the female leads but everyone was just drooling over how hot the ml is but just a peek on the lips by a not-so-docile female lead is creating havoc and questioning moralities..
in goblin the female lead was in highschool whereas the male lead was 900 years old.. the cute romantic funny scenes in goblin were way more weird than this one..
was it wrong on her part? - yes
but is it worth degrading the entire show? - no
its a fictional drama and most of the dramas(esp in kdramas) start off with so kind of weird stuffs like this.. its based on a famous webtoon and i guess even the webtoon starts off like this..
also people getting offended by the comedy and hitting in the drama needs to understand thats how it works in Korea.. offensive comedy and sarcasm is what they like.. its how it is even in their reality shows.

going by the wrap up pics of s2 it seems like jojo and hyeyeong.. they are following the actual webtoon.. if so then i guess netflix and the ph should be ready to face the wrath of jojo-sunoh shippers..

i have only read 50 chapters of the webtoon( till the school finding out about sunoh-jojo kiss) so i dont know much about the original story..
since i like sunoh-jojo chemistry more i prefer them as end game but i am not keeping my hopes high..

i saw the drama a month ago so i still have interest in it but if they release s2 way too late i might loose interest in it and might not watch it.. i just hope they release s2 by august.. they already started shooting for s2..

the story of the app will go parallel with the love traingle so they will have to give screen time to that as well... they should have developed more about love alarm app in s1 itself..
i think s1 would have been a bit boring if they reduced jojo-sunoh scenes.. their scenes together were one of the biggest highlights of the season and the reason why a lot of people watched it.. they have the right amount of scenes.. but they should have given more time to hy-jj and love alarm app as well.. most importantly there should have been more childhood scenes of sh and hy.. they should have shown more hy-sh scenes if they wanted the audience to understand their relationship better.. i dont find their friendship strong enough..

i think if the writers are aiming at hyeyeong and jojo as end game then they should have developed them better in s1 itself and should have cast an actor to play hy who has more screen presence than sunoh.. also they should have stick to webtoon sunoh if they wanted hy and jj together..
i personally find jang garum more good looking than song kang( cute flower boys are not my type) but song kang has better screen presence and better chemistry with kim so hyun which is more important when it comes to romantic dramas.. chemistry among leads is the most important thing in a romantic drama.. except for being the nice matured guy hyeyeong dont have depth as a character unlike jojo and sunoh.. also jojo and hyeyeing both are way too introverted and boring as characters and they need solid chemistry to make their scenes less boring and keep the audience hooked.. jung ga rum suits the role of hyeyong but he lacks the right amount of chemistry with kim so hyun and screen presence compared sung kang..

also the episodes should have been longer.. a normal kdrama is around more than an hour long but this one was 45-50mins.. so at times it felt very rushed..

even though its been 4 years its still kind of obvious that sunoh still loved her.. its the same as hyeyeong's crush on her.. sunoh knew hyeyeong liked her but still went on and hyeyeong knew sunoh still loved her but still went on to pursue her.. i do agree that their friendship is kind of shallow and they both are equally to be blamed.. sunoh for being inconsiderate and hyeyeong for not drawing the line..
i also feel jojo should have kept her distance from hyeyeong esp after sunoh said it.. when it comes to sunoh and jojo's relationship he was nowhere at fault and the least she could do is not to date his bestfriend esp after knowing he still has feelings for her.. unlike sunoh who dont know anything about jojo's past, jojo is fully aware of his background and knows how attached he is with hy.. its common sense that their friendship will be over if she gets close to hy..

sunoh is a bit immature and impulsive.. he says whats in his mind without giving it a thought.. i found sunoh's reaction much more real than hyeyeong's when sunoh told he kissed jojo.. hyeyeong had the freedom and right to give sunoh a punch(which he deserved) or at least show his disappointment.. jojo is not a random girl he dated and her breaking up with him changed him as a person.. i personally feel both sunoh and hyeyeong are shitty friends.. they both broke the brocode.. sunoh went after his 'bestfriend's crush' whereas hyeyeong went after his bestfriend's ex because of whom sunoh went through an emotional breakdown.. just because sunoh was vocal about it people find him a jerk..
what i like about sunoh is he is very straightforward and dont hide his feelings.. whether its jelousy or hate or love.. he is very uncomplicated as a character.. on the other hand hyeyeong and jojo's silence and non-reactivate personality kind of gets boring.. they dont speak when they need to.. esp hyeyeong.. you dont know whats going on in his head.. sometimes i feel he is trying hard to be a good guy and for the sake of being good he dont say anything to sunoh..

i read the first 50 chapters of the webtoon on yt and sunoh is completely different.. he was a class A jerk in the webtoon.. in the drama except for being inconsiderate towards his bestfriend there is nothing wrong with him.. i also prefer sunoh because he has a better character development and more interesting to watch.. also sunoh has better chemistry with jojo but in the webtoon i liked hyeyeong more..

but the drama is a bit different from the webtoon.. esp sunoh's character.. so there is still 50-50 chances for both the guys..

its towards the end when the father leaves the house and their mother tells them that the father left.. dont remember episode number..
if you have noticed the mother is shown to be in bad light and a very materialistic person at the start but they slowly reveal why she does what she does like giving more importance to bong soon's brother..
also this is a rom-com and almost everrything is shown that way except the kidnapping part.. almost all the comedy shows are like that regardless of the country.. FRIENDS, one of the most popular sitcoms in the world has a lot scenes which might be inappropriate or offensive but is funny..
in kdramas hitting is shown to be comical in almost all the show.. its not a big deal there.. for international fans it might be uncomfortable but not for koreans..

if you know about the webtoon then you will know why the cast is shown like that

its not just the hot chemistry and good looks.. their entire story line and development along with their acting were amazing.. they had some of the best written romantic scenes..
