I remember Moteki in this movie, from iconic japanese music to male lead who is head over heels in love with a girl. Kiko Mizuhara is such a tease, but also in a bitchy role lol. She made guys fell for her and dump them after. Part of me blame these guys though for falling madly in love just like that. They are also not in love with her but with the persona they created for her, their dream girl. Not much different from an imaginary girl that didn't exist. Overall good movie, acting is good, probably kiko mizuhara's best. People hate this movie and I don't blame them, because although romance tag is correct, it's still a bit misleading, many have been trolled lol. There should be a different tag for brutally honest romance movies like this.
Recommended especially to guys. You'll learn a thing or two in this movie.
I hate detective conan type of mystery, like how they lay clues, so I didn't quite like that part, it started to bore me from then. The movie redeems itself on the last part though when they raised their hards and contemplate wanting to live, that was very uplifting scene. Acting is great, Kuroshima Yuina is the best for me. The title, "12 Suicidal Edgy Teens" suggests that all characters should be annoying and Yuina is the most annoying character. Mackenyu could have done better though, his speech about living didn't move me. The feels should have started with him and not with the music.
Well i have BIG expectation about this movie because of the casts. But, i'm very dissatisfied about this movie.…
She played an annoying character so the fact that you got annoyed with her proved that she did a great job. I think she is the best actress in this movie.
This is very good and informative article. I haven't watched this series so I can't give my opinion on whether this drama destroys Japanese cinema. If they just made those sequels for money even though the quality will drop then I can see the argument. We have this problem in our country where the number of episodes per series depends on its rating which resulted to writers ruining the original script. I think the comparison with asadoras was based on it being formulaic, but I don't see how it destroys japanese cinema as we still get fresh jdramas/jmovies today. Did this drama start the job oriented jdramas?
I really like Yamazaki Kento and his acting, but seriously? Another manga adaption? Well I'm still gonna watch…
He's good in Rikuo I hope he do more serious projects like that in the future. The dude is really talented to be just known as king of live actions lol. Gekijou is another promising project.
Most award winning movies are not meant for casual viewers just like last year's standouts Burning and Shoplifters. Parasite is different, it's not just thought provoking, but also very entertaining that you will forget it's a movie tackling societal inequality at the same time. Also, the movie is not a slow burn, the pace won't make anyone yawn. The film is about two families living in two different worlds, the Wealthy, living a superior life, worrying that someone may cross the line, and the Basement Dwellers(the Poor), leeching like a parasite, relying on craftiness just to survive. The Wi-Fi scene at beginning is clever, it seems mundane, but if you think of it deeply that's the core theme of this movie. Quite possibly the most entertaining critically acclaimed movie ever.
She is really good and natural I’m really surprised by your comment
Nope, examine her character she's the type who can't say what's in her mind, I see the character holding her tears in that scene, so the role just fits her perfectly. Had that scene requires heavy drama, the actress(arimura kasumi) would have failed. She's just an ok actress in my books, I even could name 15-20+ japanese actresss better than her (same age group). It's the combination of her image and her agency that got her those roles, and just like I've said just like Idols.

It's Arimura Kasumi and Terada Aki is morikawa aoi. I agree that she's not the best actress, she has very limited range, but I don't agree that she suppose to be emotional in that final scene, some scenes just needs subtle acting. Crying on cue is not a sign of great acting. It's her popularity and charisma that got her those roles. Same can be said to those wooden idols who keeps getting casted left and right.

Apparently that whistle scene is real damn. Now I'm really impressed how both actors play their characters.
