I am glad you are enjoying the show! If Phi doesn't want Paul anymore, I can gladly take him off from his hands…
I heard of the series before since it is a very talked about classic. lol I can't believe shows before 2020 are considered old-time classics now.
Even though I have heard of the show, I never knew what it is about. Thank you for the summary! I didn't know there is a reincarnation plot being involved. I thought it was a usual college BL story. That is a cool twist!
I also thought Boun & Prem were the main leads in the show because when they joined GMMTV, a lot of people were talking about that show with them in it and there were a lot of fanedits with their scenes.
I have been thinking of watching it on top of the huge amount of shows that I want to watch lol since BounPrem are doing a fanmeeting in Berlin, Germany at the same place on the same day as KristSingto, so a lot of interactions are coming.
Is it possible to watch Between Us without watching UWMA?
I am glad you are enjoying the show! If Phi doesn't want Paul anymore, I can gladly take him off from his hands…
There are a few people that are not big fans of the flashbacks. However, most of them were complaining about either the flashbacks being too hard to tell if we are in the past.
Maybe it is the binge-watching. Usually, when I go into a show with the intention of watching it fast or to know the answer of the mystery, I tend to skim or get really impatient, but I tend to know it is a me thing rather than a show pacing problem.
With this show, I am really invested both in present and in past, so I am always expecting the flashbacks at all times. For me, when I am watching a present scene, I tend to wonder the backstory or "did they also do that in the past too" and I get happy when a flashback appears with what I am wondering. I like that the flashbacks & present scenes all ties together and create the big picture. I do think some of the little flashbacks that flashbacks to a few hours ago are not too necessary as the dialogue is clear enough.
Here is a tip to tell if they are in the past or present: Most of the time, the flashbacks starts & ends with a black & white filter with a whooshing sound. Plus, Tam's always has bangs in the past and every episode always start in the past.
Maybe it would be better if you pause when a flashback begins or when a present scene begins for a few seconds to get used to the time back & forth skip. Hopefully, it helps with the disorientation.
Can you explain the UWMA reference? I never watched that show before.
I am enjoying the show BUT I find it distracting how the switch between past memories and present. Not enjoying…
I am glad you are enjoying the show! If Phi doesn't want Paul anymore, I can gladly take him off from his hands lol
By the way, what do not like about the flashbacks? Does it take you out of focusing from the current scene like there are too many flashbacks or the change is too abrupt?
I think GMMTV is making some of their new series 10 episodes since some people are complaining about the 12 episodes shows. According to the people, some of those shows feels like the plot is being stretched out a bit too long where some episodes feel empty.
I do wish this show has more episodes since I want to see more of Krist & Singto, but the pacing has been super great, so the 10 episode format is working for them well. Fortunately, due to the short number of episodes, the length of the episodes are longer than usual. Instead of an episode being 45 minutes, it is around 55 minutes.
I think the reason he cares so much about Way is possibly partially do to some guilt? Because it seems like in…
Most likely! Pete's sadness for Way's death does play a huge part in his attraction to Chris.
I was thinking the same thing about Pete & Tony! I didn't want to say it as I thought it could come off as rude. Even though Pete does treat Kenta way better than Tony, he kind of view Kenta the same way as Tony like Kenta is nothing more than a solider. I feel like Pete has forgot that Kenta has scars, trauma, and fears like any other human. This is a bit too harsh since he does care about Kenta, but he treats him more like his right-hand hitman than his brother.
So! There was a hashtag that went viral about hazers, so Bittersweet was inspired by that and wrote SOTUS as a…
Thank you for the link!
By the way, I saw your other comment about SOTUS used to be under Felloww. Do you know why it was transferred to GMMTV? Are there any other important details about it?
So! There was a hashtag that went viral about hazers, so Bittersweet was inspired by that and wrote SOTUS as a…
Thank you! Oh I didn't realized that Krist's photo also went viral. I thought the author got inspired by Singto's photo rather than all photos under the hashtag.
Quick Question: Does anyone know how Singto got into the auditions of SOTUS? Did the author track him down and asked him or he found the audition himself and ironically happens to be the same guy that inspired the books?
I am asking because someone on Reddit is asking for couples with crazy lore/stories and I know that KristSingto has a very interesting story, but I don't know much about the very beginning.
I think the reason he cares so much about Way is possibly partially do to some guilt? Because it seems like in…
omg true! That does explain him paying attention to Way more. I just wish he would pay attention to Kenta. It does not have to be more than Way/Chris, but a good amount. Maybe he doesn't paid too much attention to Kenta since he assumed that Kenta is a tough man that is able to be independent and can handle anything since Kenta put a wall up that no one besides Kim is willing to break it.
The Kim-Kenta ship is so cute! I am really excited to witness their reunion kiss.
The ONE scenario I never considered is exactly the scenario that I think we're getting based on the preview (which…
I am so curious as to why they broke up, but I am not expecting to know the reason every time an episode comes out. I tend to be really patient with shows and am just here for the journey. I understand that people really want to know why, but I think that is only/main thing they focus on that they might not pay attention to the other things that the show has to offer like the relationship development & dynamic between the two.
If the reason for the breakup was revealed early, what will they show in the second half of the show? I predicted for the reason to be revealed in episode 7 since it gives them more time to develop the characters, but not too late and it seems it will be revealed next episode. However, some people think episode 7 is too late and they want it to be revealed before episode 5.
I think Phi was affected. He was just able to hide it better. After he left the bed and went into the bathroom, his facade dissolves.
I just realized that this is the second time that they tricked the viewers to believing that Dean is dead. The first time was in the first episode when Manit shoot him and in the next episode, it reveals that Manit somehow missed. Hopefully, just like the first time, he is somehow alive!
I think Tony might have brought back Dean & Winner back from the dead and probably faked their deaths, which is why Alan is crying.
I forgot to mention in my past comments, but who is Chris other parent? I don't know if that is important. A little part of me thinks what if Tony gave birth? ugh I don't want to visualize that!
I am going to stop commenting for today as I am posting too much lol
Does anyone has updates about Supanut and his well being?I didn't hear any bad news, so that hopefully means something…
Didn't he activated his accounts again a few hours after he deactivated it? I am not kept up with the news about him, so I don't know if he released a statement about it. It looks like he is posting regularly like nothing happened. He is even doing the reaction videos with the rest of the cast members after that.
I am absolutely loving Kim & Kenta! Kim doesn't have any mind-reading powers or anything of that sort, but he reads Kenta like a book!
I love that he defends Kenta from the team when they found out they went to Tony's lab without backup. Even though what Kenta did was reckless, he was only putting himself in danger until Kim joined him. Kim was so right that Kenta doesn't trust anyone that he is not willing to let other people do the work as they might not do it well. As for the people he do trust, he don't want them to get hurt.
It is crazy that Pete was willing to have Kenta be in danger for the sake of information. It makes sense for his character since he left Kenta in Tony's hands for years without checking on him. I don't even know if he visited Kenta in prison. He does care about Kenta, but not as much like Chris/Way. I don't know why. Maybe when he was getting rid of his old self right after he left Tony's house, he was emotionally cutting out everything that relates to Tony including Kenta, which is why he moved on from him quickly.
I am glad Kenta have a caring person in his life like Kim. Personally, I don't think Kim cares for Kenta just because he has a crush on him. Kim is a naturally caring & righteous person with strong morals. However, he does care about Kenta more because he has a crush on him. I wish we got to see more in detail of Kim slowly falling for Kenta by getting to know him with more screentime.
By the way, I didn't know that Kim smoked. Maybe he doesn't, but did only for one time to think of Kenta more. Maybe those were Kenta's cigarettes. I think he will rescue Kenta in episode 11. The next episode will probably have scenes of Tony experimenting on Kenta.
I wish they have more scenes due to more relationship development, but I understand that we don't since they are like the third support couple behind Jeff & Alan and Pete & Chris. I guess I have to rely on fanfics to fill in the blanks lol I am really curious on how their relationship will be right after Kenta gets rescued and the others' reactions.
What is with all of the sacrifices this week?! I was not a huge fan of Dean, but I didn't want him to die. I had a feeling that he would die as his character's death would be very sad, but I didn't expect it to happen in episode 9! I know that type of explosion is pretty much impossible to survive in, but I have some hope that he survived (just because I want them too). Maybe Alan was crying next episode because Dean got into a coma. I am being so wishful right now!
However, I do have some sort of evidence that he & Winner might be alive. Right after that scene, I immediately rewatched the trailer, just to see if my gut feeling was right. In the trailer, there are some scenes of Dean & Winner that haven't been released yet (I think? I don't remember every scene that was shown in the episodes).
In 2:06, there is a scene of Winner holding Kenta's knife in front of Kenta. Unless they cut the scene in the final cut of this episode or it is a flashback, Winner is alive, but he looks completely fine. In 2:07, Dean is looking at something in front of the doors in the garage. I am not sure if that scene have appeared in previous episodes. There is also a scene in 2:15 of Dean wearing a black solider-like uniform. I really hope these are not just flashbacks.
I don't know why they look unscratched. Maybe Tony brought them back to life. Welp we will find out for sure next episode.
lol I really hope that Dean is alive, but I don't think so as that explosion is difficult to survive in. However, I was rewatching the trailer for season 2 and I notice some scenes of the 2 of them that haven't been shown yet (I think), so that gives me some hope.
Also, they should have casted Pod as the anchor as he’s the only one who look mature enough to play that role.…
Krist was the one who casted Aou because the casting team was looking for a young actor (to represent a young, upcoming working generation) and Krist knew that Aou is the only one who is comfortable in acting & pretending to be mean with a senior actor like Krist. There are news anchors that are young. Not all of them are old or mature looking.
