Great points! I think the weakest point of SCOY is that Nuea seems to magically fall for Toh and the same thing happens to both partners in the second couple and third couple, though I think the Daisy story is a bit more credible on its own IMO.

But this series has a lot of positives points and you hit a lot of them in this post

I agree with you in a lot of things but I will say this series is not a 9 for me. I think Toh and Nuea are great but I wish the romance was more developed, especially for the 2nd and 3rd couple.

I think part of the reason they didn't develop the Toh Nuea relationship early on is because they wanted that scene were Toh asks Nuea why he loves him and his answer is a sort of "just because you are weird". I mean, it was great, but if they are going to do that with the main couple because it is essential to the story, then they should have developed the other two better.

Just my opinion. I mean, I loved the series and I would watch it again. Maybe I would skip all the super cringey stuff, but I think this series gave us some great moments and that's a rarity these days with so many series.. I mean, that scene in which Toh tops Nuea was great, the scene in which Jao gives Sky his "box" is super cute, and the list goes on....

Just as I suspected... So you came here to compare Cutie Pie with SCOY but you haven't even finished SCOY. See, I watch both, and I can tell you without a doubt that SCOY is superior.

Just look at all the mostly negative comments on the Cutie Pie page. And compare to the mostly positive comments in SCOY.

I think in general, the folks who watched SCOY all the way to the end were left more satisfied than those who stuck with CP all the way to the end. At least, this fan is. ;)

I hope you give it a try. Is it cringey? Oh dear God, yes it is. Is it silly? It is a comedy and it is inane and stupid way more than it probably should be. But Toh is adorable and him and Nuea are cute together.

Does it have issues? Oh, dear, do I have a list... :) But honestly, relative to everything else that was airing at the time, this is definitely one of the better ones.

I watched both and I think SCOY has interesting characters and a much more cohesive storyline. It is much better than CutiePie in all but the acting. The acting in CutiePie is a little better.

Toh is not a stalker. He is just has an unhealthy obsession but he never stalks Nuea.

You should watch all 12 episodes before criticizing a series. Don't criticize something you haven't watched.

could you technically finish it by just watching the last 5 to 10 mins of ep 11 and 12? Because honestly, not much happen in this series. Like, you could watch the entire thing if you only watched Ep 1 and 2 and maybe the last 10 mins of Ep 11 and the last 10 of ep 12.

none. Just watch a Nuer/Syn cut. They are the only thing good about this series.

The only realistic drunk scene I have ever seen from Thai BL is the one recent one with Kuea in Cutie Pie. Its the only scene were I wondered if the actor was really drunk and not faking it LOL.

On a scale of 1 to 10, where I give 1 to the Make It Right drunk scene of Episode 1, and 10 to the Kuea drunk scene in Cutie Pie, I had give this drunk scene in Ep 3 of Star a solid 6.5/10. Not too terrible but not great. I think the main lead did better than the other guys, maybe I would give him a 7 if it was just him.

I am obsessed with this series. I also think i am developing a crush on Earth. He is so hot.

hahaha He appears in a BTS after the credits role and he didn't seem to have that same look so I think they only did it because he was supposed to be the scoutmaster.
