I totally disagree. KeyChen's end monologues hint at the show's awareness, which was present all throughout the…
Yes. 100% agree that the key to understanding the point or morale of the show is thag inner monologue by Chen. Was the risk worth it? We will know soon enough.
Every one of your points is valid. It's a frustrating series because it added and changed so much from the original…
Interesting you say this because one of the things I found most frustrating about the IttPai story is that I don't get why Itt wants Pai to change. It made no sense. I liked the aspect of Pai coming out and how they treated that here but Itt was more creepy than he was cute.
I will take a look at your synopsis. Thank you for that!
Fluffiest, sweetest, shortest, simplest BL I have ever watched. It is also one of the best BLs for me of the year and will probably be in my list of top 10 of all BLs.
For those concerned about lack of substance, you didn't get the message then... This show is more about the psychological effects of the lockdown and how we deal with them.
and my gut feeling is that drama will happen in Season 2.
Yes KeyChen will be back! I think this series was really cute and adorable. Not really any typical cliches or…
People keep saying KeyChen but if we go by Thai standards, it should be ChenKey because based on what I observed, Chen is the Seme and Key is the Uke (Not that it matter much in Pinoy BL as they don't follow those standards).
I agree that was probably a "condo" parking lot but the idea is that he has a huge garage full of cars so he picks the car he will drive out of several dozen cars. Many millionaires have such parking garages. Some rich people have car collections that number in the hundreds....
ok so the thing that i actually like about this drama is that the actors can actually act and if you have watched…
homophobia is rooted in misogyny.
I understand how you feel but I think the whole point of this show is that Ton's behavior is wrong. They are showing the behavior but not condoning it. Look at how Toptap's and Mike's character treat woman: they do treat them like people. Look at Chon's mom, she is a strong female character, sassy and funny but also smart.
I'm really sorry to say this but am i the only one that thinks someone cuter like Earth from Love by chance, until…
Sorry, I don't agree. Khaotung is CUTE as a button, has the most perfect Uke body and is funny as heck. He is a GREAT actor and is giving life to Chon. So no, we don't need a replacement. Khaotung is perfect for the role.
Khaotung is an amazing actor and the best person to play Chon, he is such a cutiepie and a good actor.
I was just having this same conversation with a friend. Khaotung was so different in 2gether.... I mean, I could never see him as an Uke. Yet, here we are. He is what we call in the USA, a twink, and he plays it so well.
He is definitely an underrated actor. I hope he gets more roles!
A great movie, with awful editing but an unforgettable story about growing up, finding love, and learning to hold on to and not give up on those you love. This one is a movie you won't forget and after you watch it once you will want to watch again.
Good luck getting over it.... and btw if you are a fan of Ngern, make sure you have a mop by because you will need to pick up the drool.... ;) The opening credits are pure gold.
This one is hard to get over.... It is soooo good! :) The editing is god awful but the story is sweet and other than that little forced almost-sex that thankfully didn't go anywhere, it was free of almost all of the cliches in Thai BL.
A girlfriend who is a human being: CHECK Also girlfriend is not ignorant of what's going on: CHECK A boy who struggles with his sexual identity (e.g. no I am only gay for you krap): CHECK A supportive parent who is also struggling: CHECK A "second lead" that is not a second lead: CHECK Jennie: CHECK
Also, another great plus, a Boysompob soundtrack.
It does feature some common BL tropes: Supportive and blase group of male friends: Check Impossible and hard to believe miscommunication: Check Strange and unexplained coincidences: Check
My favorite scene was the kiss in the bathroom :) and when they are in Chiang Mai and they are sitting at night in the field watching the stars and Nam sits behind Meuk and hugs him..... Sweet baby Jesus, I need an Insulin shot! :)
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I am surprised it has such a low rating on MDL. Really says something about the general taste in movies folks here have.
Kim Ki-Duk is one of the most original story tellers in the world of cinema. His movie 3-Iron is my favorite movie of his but SSAWS is much more poetic. It has a message that transcends culture and time. As Roger Ebert said, "Rarely has a movie this simple moved me this deeply". In fact, this movie made it to his list of best movies ever made.
Clearly, not everyone here agrees. That is a shame. For a website that promotes the best Asian movies and dramas, this is a travesty. This movie should be way higher.
Sometimes you have to let go of your fears. We will learn in season 2 what the consequences are..

That had to be the most confusing, weird and terrible finale I have ever seen.....

One advantage that Gameboys has is that it has already been translated to several languages so it could be easier to distribute worldwide...
