I want to know what they are saying in Thai when they call James "Fake Doctor". Any ideas?- Honestly, IDK, he…
Those shorts seem to be pretty common in Asia. I see a lot of Thai guys and Pinoy guys wearing them. I call them "ball-bursting" because, well.... LOL

Peak wore shorts like that (OK,not quite that short but almost) in Hook. I kept looking at his legs and drooling....

There is a scene in Ep 2 of Skinship were Shino sits down and he subtly pull down his pants because I think he is just strangling his package hahaha It happens very quickly

Sorry... As I said, I am a bit obsessed with him. LOL

I do wonder if "fake doctor" means intern because the guy doesn't seem to get upset. I also thought that maybe he is some kind of nurse practitioner like we have in the USA?

There are a deluge of PH BL this year. It's as if the industry woke up and decided to produce one each month :).…
If you support Adriana So, you should watch Pearl Next Door, the first ever Pinoy GL and to my knowledge, the first GL aimed at an international audience. It is part of the expanded Gameboys universe. It is produced by the IdeaFirst Company

Skinship is a new BL airing Sundays. Boy's Lockdown is airing Sundays too.
Well, TBH I watch it mostly for the hot guys and the potential for skinship hahaha

Agreed. I find it somewhat off-putting how some of these shows marketed themselves as BL when they're not really?…
Not always. I am a BL purist LOL. Best example I have of this is Sakristan.

This is obviously and ad for that skin clinic but as someone else said I get to see the doc shirtless and exercising…
I think the three male actors need to do more BL.... I mean, Best has done a lot of BL, but Shino and Chahub need a regular 12 ep series of their own...

Also, how about Shino and those damn short shorts of his...????? My eyes will burst from looking at him hahaha I think I am now addicted to seeing him in shorts.

And the Dr. is damn fine. I can't wait for them to be together! The only thing I hate is that this is only 3 episodes!!!! I feel like it deserves season 2 already. I want to see a happy ending for the doctor and Teenoi.

Hey guys any available working link for episode 3? Thank you
I don't think it has aired yet and if it did, it is not on their official YT channel yet.

Best has the best abs ...
LOL The name Best is so good for all kinds of corny jokes hahaha There is a guy from Lovesick named Best Kan. He had a leaked video a couple of years ago and we got to see that he indeed has the Best "can" in all of Thai BL ;) hahaha

It would be fracturing if we said, well I am not watching because this BL is too queer, but I think it is an important distinction because it sets Thai BL apart from Pinoy BL. Pinoy BL is more queer-centric, while Thai BL is not.

We also need to describe the evolution of BL as a genre itself and how it changes with time. One aspect that has changed is the representation of LGBQT identities. Thai BL has been rather reticent about showing the sexual identity of its characters. There is only a handful of characters that have come out as gay, but the number of gay characters or characters that at least behave like gay characters have increased with time. For example, Sarawat self-identifies as homosexual, thought I can't remember if he ever said he was gay, while in DBK there is one character who says he is gay, while the couple played by TayNew clearly identifies as homosexual and seems to struggle with issues that gay couples struggle with....

The point here is that we need to understand what is BL in order to understand the significant changes that the genre undergoes over time and to recognize the way the creators are trying to change the genre to adapt to new sensibilities...

Besides, as @liquidairburner pointed out below, how do we set other LGBQT content apart from BL? I am one of those folks who thinks that Brokeback Mountain is not BL. It lacks all the elements: it is emphasis is not on the romantic aspects of the relationship between the MC but on their struggles with sexual identity and it lacks many of the fantastic elements that make BL, especially Thai BL, so appealing.

Idk because I never said anything about shows that are preachy or what not.

We are establishing a difference between BL and LGBTQ shows.

All of the shows you listed emphasize romance over queer identities.

What I am saying about ME is that it is more worried about the queer identity of its character than the romantic ups and downs of the MC. This, and not its underlining tragic narrative, is what makes it less of a BL and more of a LGBTQ show. But the line is fine and I would never say that ME is not a BL.

I will like to let you know that I am with you and I fully understand where you are coming from.

BL is romantic and the focus is on the romance, which is what distinguishes BL from "mainstream" queer media. What happens is that BL in the Philippines is made by LGBQT folks instead of straight ppl (which seems to be the norm in Thailand and even Japan). Thus, Pinoy BL is much more queer-centric and has really created a grey zone between BL and Queer narratives that I think was starting to evolve in Thailand but is not there yet.

ME is an example of a BL that is 100% queer-centric but still keeps some of those important BL elements, like unexplained romantic attraction, supportive characters, a focus on the romance, etc. Sakristan was another very queer-centric BL. Yet another example of this persistent queer narrative is found in My Day, especially the last episode... Gameboys lies on the other extreme, dealing with queerness head on but not making its narrative queer-centric. The focus was always on the boys and the coming out was treated as a side plot which lasted all but half an episode. Gameboys however, managed to bring attention to important issues in the LGBQT community, including coming out (and being forced to come out), body image, etc. Gameboys is a jewel and ppl will study it for years because how they took the BL concept and made it relevant and current and how they bridge the gap between LGBQT and BL narratives.

Anyway, I digress.... I haven't seen Gaya or Quaranthings but Boy's Lockdown seems to be another much more BL-like show with a heavy LGBQT presence: the two leads are gay and one of the side characters is gay. Two other side characters seem to be pansexual or homosexual.... Thus far, I am loving it! :)

I'm feeling like they're being so deliberately vague about whether or not Ken -- or Shake -- is dead or alive,…
I watch a lot of scifi and I had a thought that maybe they will pull off the "it's all a dream" in which maybe Ken is in a comma and we are seeing it all from his perspective which is why he can't cry, and why he is not mad at Sandee.....

Or maybe Sandee was in a car accident and she is the one who is dead, like in sixth sense? LOL IDK Now that would be messed up.

Title My Day the Series Spoiler
Ep 12.... What I didn't like:
1) All the crying. It was too much. I felt like I was watching a Mexican Telenovela
2) Moira should have been slapped harder, kicked out of the house and... heck, no, no one should have allowed her in the house to begin with. She had insulted everyone, nearly killed Sky and ruined Ace's life, not to mention insult the parents. She is trash. However, let's also admit the actress was gold.
3) Sky's hair in the rain
4) Sky not getting any makeup from Moira on his white shirt
5) How quickly Ace's dad went from I hate you to I love you. That's got to be the quickest turn around by any antagonist I have ever seen.
6) Why was Ace stalking Sky? Ah, never mind.
7) Sky making everything about him during the graduation ceremony. Dude, you are supposed to inspire your class, not chastise society and profess your love LOL
8) After 2 episodes that ended with the Disney fan fare music, they decide not to end the show with it?

What I liked:
1) Sky's brother coming out to console him. Warmest moment of the episode. The acting was on point.
2) Sky's coming out to his dad. It was a bit too expected but well done.
3) The Dean being all supportive and proud of his gay student. A bit out of place but very Disney-esque.
4) The mom coming out to the son. If we consider My Day a true BL, then this is the first time this happens in a BL. Oh, and we got a "lesbian" kiss! :)
5) Seeing Sky ask Ace if he was willing to fight for them. And seeing Sky confess to his friends how hurt and how vulnerable he was.
6) Seeing a happy ending
7) Sky coming out to his classmates. Having a self-proclaimed BL with a character that is gay, yay.
8) The blooper reel

In the tarot, the upright Three of Swords represents heartbreak, betrayal, loss, death, and grief.
Wikipedia:

This card depicts a fundamentally sorrowful experience— tarot readers suggest this may be in the form of a lost relationship, an accidental death, or some other form of not just depression or malaise but deeply emotional sorrow.

And remember: This is SANDEE's card. She is going through a lost relationship, an accidental death or some deep emotional sorrow.
