Someone help me understand. What were y'all expecting considering where the story was going in the last episode.…
I was expecting the DIRECTOR who is supposed to make sure the audience finds the story and the acting believable, to give us scenes of them behaving like a couple. Instead, we got them playing around in the apartment, slapping each other butts, and frankly just behaving like sort of good friends or maybe friends who maybe had sex 10 years ago and are still friends? IDK
I just wanted them to be a couple for at least one episode, and the DIRECTOR would have known that conflict was around the corner since he is putting the whole thing together and has full creative control. So I was expecting him to put some couply stuff before the heavy Pam stuff happened.
And one can be worried about your partner and still try to act like a normal couple so even then, we could have seen IDK Tine making breakfast for Wat while looking all worried about what's going on? Maybe Wat making a sandwich for Tine (boy, I like food, don't I?) or maybe Wat and Tine could be shown in bed after sex, with Tine laying his head on Wat's chest and talking about something really profound? IDK!
Man, fan service is part of their job in promoting the series. If you are saying that you're glad Bright and Win…
The music video doesn't count as fanservice. They are in character IMO or at least they are "acting". And you are right, I would count that as Old style fanservice if anything, kind of what you would see from White and Captain back in the day.
You and I did talk about the toxicity caused by fanservice in the TT boards and since then IMO MewGulf has gotten worst. I will agree with you that Jimmy and Tommy are at another level and seem very natural. I don't know, maybe they are gay but Gulf I think is straight.
I can no longer stand Mew because how disgusted I am by his fanservice with Gulf (and I blame Mew mostly because he is the oldest and he did it already with Art and look at what happened).
Fanservice is just weird. But if you like it, thats fine. I just worry about the toxicity it can create.
I wanted to add myself to the list of those who complain of the lack of chemistry among the MC. I don't think they need to be kissing in every scene but there are subtle ways to show that they are in crazy in love. Clearly, this was important for the plot, as we now know that a rival has come to possibly place herself between the couple.
And sex is not needed... Sarawat making breakfast for Tine in the morning, with Tine maybe giving him a quick peck on the cheeks, Tine hugging Sarawat in bed, Tine making a little inside joke that only they know what it means when they are together with their friends.... So many ways to be "couply" and show that they are a couple... IDK
I don't think this is an indication of BrightWin being better, it's the evidence of GMMTV totally failing to create…
This is so true. GMMTV sucks at making believable couples.
Krist and Singto in Sotus S could just put me to sleep. Tay New in DBK was another snoozefest.
I don't know who is worst, TineSarawat lack of romantic chemistry, PeteKao's complete asexualization or KongpobArthit becoming an old married couple in like a year (o was it 3?).
Man, fan service is part of their job in promoting the series. If you are saying that you're glad Bright and Win…
can you provide a link? I haven't watch this yet.
I would say, based on the little I have seen of both of them that they do the old-style fan-service that was common in the early years of BL, where they sometimes answer questions ambiguously, seem to playful around each other etc., but they in no way have done (as far as I have seen, again) any fan service like MewGulf, MewArt or even OhmToey used to do....
When someone in an abandoned dirty bus explains to you that you are the love of his life and you just react with…
I agree with your sentiment but to be fair, if someone brought be a condom bouquet, I may react a little bit like Tine because I didn't even know that was a thing.
I think what I found stupid is that Tine doesn't seem to be all over Sarawat. It is his first boyfriend and he clearly loves him so why not be the one who initiates sex? The story relies too much on the cliche of the active Seme being the one who pursues the very passive Uke and IDK, I think that's wrong.
People are calling this comment misogynistic.. now I could be wrong but I don't think they meant this in a misogynistic…
I still think your comment is misogynistic. The fact that you are a women does not change a thing. The fact that the comment was written in such a way that it implied men could do a better job also is not changed by the fact that you are a woman.
I haven't read the original novel. I have heard that it is full of the typical issues we see in Thai BL: rape, sexual violence, etc.
In Thailand sometimes the book author also writes the script but this is not always the case. So you have to be careful about the gender of who changed what. It could very well be heterosexual (or homosexual?) men who are changing the script and making it worst or better? IDK
I don't watch BL to watch a literary masterpiece or an award-winning story. I watch it to entertain me and 2gether did a great job of this. Episode 11 was terrible but otherwise, it has been entertaining. It may grind your gears but maybe you shouldn't watch Thai BL if you are looking for writing excellence?
I'm glad the comments are raw and honest, but for those who wander through them to know if this series is worth…
My feelings have changed as the show has progressed. I started with a very positive outlook. Now I am afraid that this is not going to end up well but we will see.
This show has some pluses. It also has some negatives.
When the show first started it was a 10/10. Right now, its about a 7/10 for me. Episode 11 was a 5/10 to be honest.
For a series that's rated over 9 on here, it really doesn't live up to the hype. What is really here but the visual…
I agree. This show is frustrating me. It started with a bang and its gonna end with a fizz.
Instead of taking advantage of this platform to raise awareness about queer issues in Thailand, GMMTV just keeps milking this for cheap lakorn-type entertainment.
It is a waste of talent. I hope the right the ship in the last two episodes. I am sticking with it but it is going down a couple of spots on my list.

yeah, they should just hire me next time LOL.

I am seriously disappointed in this director.

I know they don't care but I would think their are folks who are part of the production team who are LGBQT and should care.
This will just add to my paranoia.
I love Ohm Pawat.
