One thing I would like to say, cause I see a lot of people saying this-GMMTV is NOT a television station. It is…
I am not sure what your point is. GMMTV is a production company but they air their shows on one of the GMM channels, so????? If I say it airs on GMMTV maybe I am not being specific enough but it is going to be either GMM25 or GMM One, right?

I think when it becomes confusing is when we get down to technicalities. For example, while both White and Captain are somewhat associated with GMM Grammy, White is directly under GMM management with GMMTV and Captain is under its partnership with HHM, GDH559. GDH559 is partly owned by GMM Grammy and GMMTV is wholly owned by GMM Grammy.

This is why White and Captain haven't been in a lakorn or BL for a while (other than Reminders).

The story was made up, but I do imagine Dim explaining this made up story to his love XD
Green was definitively a highlight of the episode.

i think some of the hype is due to a lot of people who had never seen a Thai BL suddenly watching 2gether , so…
I don't blame them because they don't know any better but I think if anything we need to be upset at GMMTV for not pushing the limits. They always play it so safe. IDK. SOTUS is great but besides it is slow pace, the lack of intimacy is really annoying considering it aired the same year as MIR.

I think this is an overall issue with GMMTV-produced shows. Off screen, the actors have great chemistry but on-screen it is another story.

Apparently, in Thailand, patting the head seems to be a very intimate gesture (the top of the head is considered…
I have a good online friend who LOVES BL and is thinking of moving to Thailand. He has been there a couple of times and he said that holding hands is very rare in public. PDAs are rare. He said male friends are touchy like we see in Lovesick or MIR or most of the shows we watch. They lay their heads on each other, they lay on each others lap or whatever. So it is an interesting contrast but yes, holding hands is very intimate.

It makes lovesick a very bold show. LOL. I always joke that Lovesick made me realize that holdinghand porn can be a thing. Its quiet erotic at times in Lovesick.

He conveys a lot with glances and looks. The scene where he rests his head on Tine's shoulders to ask him if he could spend the night was as sweet as anything I have seen in a BL.

I think he is a good actor. I hope he gets better. I don't think he is perfect... He still has room to grow.

Win is very good. He is a natural.

I have been curious about this for a while now but why in the world isn't it weird that Sarawt wants to touch…
my husband calls my man boobs, boobs, and he also likes to joke about touching them. I think its more of a joke than an obsession but yeah, it happens LOL.

I think this is mostly the female author projecting some experience of her own onto the characters...

Not gonna lie, the scene in ep 8, where Sarawat put his head on Tine's shoulder and asked him to stay the night…
Wow! This is how I feel too! That scene when Sarawat puts his head on Tine's shoulder was so freaking sweet! I had forgotten about it but thanks for reminding me of it.

I loved Sarawat up to that point. The scene in the couch was really sweet but when they moved in and were fooling around, I thought, ah this feels a bit more like friends...

I think they needed to bring out childish Sarwat more out.

Here is the deal:

I think it plays much better when Sarawat is cold, tsundere like with anyone BUT Tine. And it plays much better when Tine is strong and Sarawat is kind of weak, childish and just wants attention WHEN THEY ARE ALONE. It makes for a better formula.

I always love to watch the new couple interacting with their friends, knowing that behind closed doors WE the audience know how sweet the couple is, how much of a softie the cold-looking Tsundere is. This made SOTUS and Lovesick great dramas, and could have made this a great drama too....

i think some of the hype is due to a lot of people who had never seen a Thai BL suddenly watching 2gether , so…
I am with you. I was super hyped. Somewhere around episode 9 or 8, I started to have some doubts but I buried them. (I think it was the one right after the game, when they get beat up and go back to the apartment).

Episode 10, the brother episode? was great. It had its flaws but the scenes with them were cute, though I did get a bit of more "bromance" than "romance" from their scenes. I think what is very awkward is to think that 17 and 16 year old newbie actors (Lovesick and MIR) could be more believable as a couple than these two. But I digress...

Anyway, I am hopping they turn this around but yes, it is a huge issue for me as a BL fan. I don't need them to kiss, TBH I just want a good hug or a cute gesture.

For example, in Lovesick there is a very sweet and lovely scene where Phun and Noh embrace after they talk about how each of them have a GF (Well, Noh think he has a GF lol, its more like a beard but thats also another story). In that scene Noh asks Phun if they can stay like that for a while. It gets you in the feels. A HUG. A FREAKING HUG!!!!

Lovesick also has the most clever use of hand holding I have ever seen in a show. We could probably write a thesis about it. Its quiet powerful and even erotic.

MIR has very few true kisses in the first season but a lot of feelings are conveyed in hugs, and facial expressions. Of these, my favorite is that one scene when Tee runs to meet Fuse after he has a realization that I can't remember but I just know his face is beaming and he runs like a man who is madly in love because he is. That scene is in the MIR OST Season 1 video of the Gun Achi song.

So, the PG13 thing is not an excuse unless I am missing something here.

I think it is the actors. And watching them, I am going to have the very unpopular opinion that it is Win and not Bright who is holding back. If you watch them in Episode 10, that is all Bright. Win holds back so much more. But who knows, the director or the managers could be to blame or even the producers.

People are calling this comment misogynistic.. now I could be wrong but I don't think they meant this in a misogynistic…
The problem with the OPs comment is generalizing and saying "I can write better BL" with the implicit that it is because he is a [gay?] man.

It doesn't matter if the person who writes this is a man or a woman, what matters is how wide their eyes are open to certain social and cultural norms.

Take Lovesick for example... I think Lovesick has better written characters who are always consistent. Phun was always a sweet guy, Noh was indecisive and a bit annoying from the beginning. The conflict was mostly internal. Lovesick was written by a women.

TharnType and Theory of Love are IMO great examples of how BL can be used to pretty much transfer some of the tropes and stereotypes and social norms that perpetuate violence against women and just change the sex and have guys play the roles of women.

I don't know if its good because it makes us talk about it or if its bad because it normalizes these behaviors. I leave that judgement to each person. For me, I am OK with TharnType but not OK with how Sarawat treats Tine.

In Japanese doramas this is done by the male to the female. It is not always out of love and it is not always done by lovers (sometimesa good male friend will pat the womans head).

It makes sense that in Thai BL it is the Seme that does this to the Uke. I believe (but could be wrong) that as far back as Lovesick, I remember Phun doing this to Noh but not the other way around.

I think it has to do with power dynamics in a relationship.

Just scanned a couple of comments to see if they reflect my sentiment after watching Episode 11. It seems most people that come here to complain, do complain of the same things I do (Lack of depiction of romantic feelings, Sarawat treating Tine like a delicate flower, etc.).

Only thing I wanted to complain here that no one has complained is Man. IT IS NOT CUTE when he harasses and stalks Type. This is psychotic behavior. I hate the character and I see 0 chemistry between them. I feel bad for Mike and Toptap because they are great actors. The writing in this show is becoming godawful and LAZY.

Sarawat treating Tine like a flower is fine but it has gotten now to be constant.

I loved this show because of the mix of humor and drama. I loved Sarwat's attitude in the first episodes. The reveal in Ep 11 about what happened earlier was a great idea, and could have been awesome but I think they took it a bit to far. I did feel the emotion of it but after watching it, I started thinking about the events earlier in the show.... I don't think they explained everything Sarawat did or his attitude. He even called Tine annoying right after telling him he would kiss him. Why?

Then this idea of a soft and mushy Sarawat is great but they took it too far. I imagine Sarawat being soft but not all smiles. Or is it me? Bright overdid it.

Thus far, Gunsmile, Drake, Frank and Win have been good amidst the terrible issues with directing and writing. However, Win really needs to do something about this romantic scenes. When Wat pats his head it looks more like an owner patting the head of his favorite puppy. He needs to show some affection back.

IDK I have been silent too long... LOL If you guys know me from TharnType you know I used to be very active and vocal about things... I have liked this show enough that I had almost no complaints. But the last 2-3 episodes have been grinding my gears. This episode just really made me very upset and disappointed. The more I think about it, the more I am upset about what has happened with the characters and the direction the show is taking.

How can you complain about alpha males and then behave like only a man can write a good story? Seriously? You should delete this comment. It makes you look bad.
