I agree with the previous comments. Please, watch the official linetv videos. They are professionally translated and LineTV really looks at their total views to make decisions about what they show, etc.

For me this is a huge deal, so yes I hope they address it before that scene.

I also hope they are pretty realistic with all of this. if so, then we should see a pretty messed up Type after he has sex with Tharn. He is going to be all over the place. He should feel both disgusted and happy, maybe even a bit terrified and have some flashbacks from his abuse. It should be dark.

Yeah, that story is a mess. Thanks for letting me know about their background story b/c I was confused. So they are in love? hmm. I got that the brother was being over protective but I wasn't sure what was going on. I wonder if it will connect indirectly by showing how sexual abuse can take different forms... This story is dark after all...

I will confess my sins: I haven't watched Love By Chance or 2Moons/2Moons2 BUT I think that God is a pretty good looking guy and Perth is a looker.

Having said that, watch out Perth and God, 'cause Mew could become the next Thai BL Super Seme, the god of sexiness :P

That scene in the bathroom was so hot. Was it better than anything in LBC? 'cause I really felt the tension there...

I watch DBK for Tay. He is adorable. I don't know if he knows it, but he is like the cutest thing even when he is trying to be all hot with his glasses and all, he is just cute.

I have watched plenty of Thai dramas, both BL and non-BL. I am relatively new to Thai BL shows but not to Thai movies (I watched Love of Siam way back then and LOVED IT).

My expectations are not the issue. Besides this show is not MCOT, it's GMM, so I think I can have some high expectations! :)

Thai BL can have excellent character development (e.g. SOTUS, He's Coming To Me) and it can have a plot with multiple layers and the use of symbolism (SOTUS, Theory of Love, Love Sick). So as a viewer I think I can expect this from TharnType and up to Episode 2 it delivered. Now in Episode 3 it really becomes a matter of how they move forward and I will say that I will view 1-3 this weekend to see I change my opinion about 3 on a second view. It may be, I am missing some hints.

I am enjoying the show, so don't get me wrong. Interestingly, I had 0 interest in this show, I only watched because ppl hyped it a bit, and well the comments here made it sound controversial and I love a controversial show. I had actually started watching Dark Blue Kiss, thinking that was going to be the BL I would fell in love with but I ended up liking this one better. Right now my interest in Dark Blue Kiss is waning. I am watching the next episode of DBK but at this point I am watching mostly for Tay, 'cause he is such a cutie that I enjoy seeing him on screen.

Oh that drinking water scene... Oh.... We had been joking around in the Dark Blue Kiss board that Tay is cute and all but he can't pull off the "I am super hot" vibe but Mew can totally do it.

Oh my, were we right on the money. Mew did it by just drinking water while poor (cute and hot) Tay couldn't do it even after taking his shirt off and jumping into a swimming pool.

If Mew takes his shirt off and jump into a swimming pool, well, many hearts would be melted. :)

I am going to watch it again before I write my detailed reaction to the episode.

One thing is for sure, I am not bored at all.

Dark Blue Kiss can be boring at times. This show is entertaining.

I got very emotional and I still do when Ohm's character is about to punch the other guy... The way he screams that he doesn't want to be this way, is not like he is mad, but more like he is heart broken. Ohm's acting is one notch above. Everyone else would just act upset and angry but you can hear emotions and strong feelings. This makes me sad and reminds me of the coming out scene in He's coming to me, in which I BALLED my eyes out.

I don't know how emotionally prepared I am for this movie but when it comes out I am watching it even if I end up curled up on the floor, crying and needing my husband to come and hold me :)

Also keep in mind that Type is attracted to Tharn from the beginning. I haven't read the book but I think that much is hinted throughout the last 3 episodes. For example, early on Type changed his mind about wanting to move out and he also had "dreams" (?) about Tharn that were homoerotic. In the bathroom, while JO he even says "Why can't I stop thinking about him?" or something to that effect.

There is very STRONG sexual tension b/w them leading to that bathroom scene. While it did felt a bit rushed, and while they failed to explain why Type didn't react negatively (considering he was raped in the past), the scene was superbly acted and directed. I give that scene two thumbs up, way up, in fact, in terms of the technical aspects (acting and directing). The only thing that fell flat for me was the script in that scene... I needed more explaining.

Coming from someone like me who finds Type more attractive, YES you are correct, Tharn is like sex walking on sneakers....

more productive? hmmm... like giving some "love" to his roommate? :P

I need to do a spoiler-free post first, then I will let y'all know my opinion on this infamous episode 3 in more detail.

I found the episode a bit disappointing. Why? Up to that point they had made a big deal about Type's childhood issues but they didn't bring them back here. There were some hints but it was not the kind of depth I was expecting after how great Episode 2 was....

However, the eroticism, the acting of both leads, the fast pacing, etc. all help make up for the lack of character development.

This show reminds me a bit of how J-Dramas setup their leading man to be cold and unlikable but you end up shipping the leads because they are so cute together.

Overall, episode 3 gets a 3.5/5 from me. Episode 2 would probably be a 5/5 and Episode 1 a 4/5.

I hope episode 4 explains more of what's going on in both character's heads!

I sometimes think there is something wrong with me that I find him hot because frankly, he is not that pretty.... He just has something I like and I can't tell what it is...

I am sure you probably know that Earth has a new BL drama in which he will be the LEAD man? Let's see how he does... White will be in it to and I am secretly hopping he gets to kiss Earth for real haha but well White is not playing his love interest.

I think I am going to agree here with you 120% that Earth should take his shirt off and jump into the river in this new BL he is going to do. He can pull it off.

BTW White is one guy who I think is hot but I can never figure out why... Is it his hair? Is it his smile? is it his personality? He is also the one guy that could take his shirt off for me, look all flabby, and I will still think its hot :) haha

I disagree with your assessment of Ohm. I think Ohm could pull it off now. In He's Coming To Me, he has a scene where he doesn't have anything except his underwear and I think my eyes popped out when I saw him :)

I assume you have the same issue with Ohm that I have with Captain. I agree Captain is a good looking dude but I saw him first on LS1, and I can't get over the fact that he (in my head) is still a kid. With Ohm, I didn't see him on MIR until after I had seen him in HCTM so I had not seen the MIR 1 Ohm who is undernourished LOL

Another thing is that Ohm can pull it off b/c he is such a good actor. I think Tay is such a sweet, nice, guy that he has a hard time being anything but a good, sweet, next-door-type boy. Is like asking that kid who played Per in LS, Sing, to do that pool scene. Sing is so goofy looking that even though he is a great actor, he just wouldn't pull it off IMO (Well, he could but it would be hilarious and even he would laugh probably. Sing is funny as hell). He is also not that great looking either, but my point is that this is a mix of looks and acting. You gotta have both. Tay has one but not the other.


Did you watch 3 Will be free? I haven't so I don't know how Tay did on that one.

But I am with you, I find Tay hotter than Mew. I actually think Tay is hotter than Gulf, although I think Gulf is hotter than Mew.

I haven't watched KMA, though I probably will after DBK is done. Episode 1 really set up an interesting story but in episode 2 the plot went downhill. First, I didn't like how jealous Pete was or how mean he was to Kao. He is a toxic boyfriend, texting him all the time, being pushy and just rushing him and stressing him out. Second, I am not sure the Sun/Mork plot is original at all. Perhaps it is because I didn't watch KMA, but I also find all the subplots to be kind of confusing.

As far as the pool scene, I sort of agree with you that it felt awkward. I took it as first as being funny but then when he gets on the trampoline and jumps, the way the scene was shot made it look like it was supposed to be hot IDK maybe it was not supposed to be funny then?

I saw Tay Tawan first in OffGun Fun Night and I thought he was cute and hot. I think he has a pretty face, a cute personality and I don't know what it is about his mouth that I like but I do like it (his smile?). While I think he is hot, and I don't mind when they showed his, ehmm, derrière, I don't think he has the kind of body that will melt girls and gay boyz when he takes his shirt off. Interestingly, I think that New could pull that off, have you seen New without a shirt? He has a very good body (Google him!). I don't find New attractive but if he took his shirt off in front of me, my eyes would pop out for sure :) His arms alone are kind of nice. (Why don't I find him hot? IDK I think its b/c he is so pale and he has a baby face)

In regards to TharnType, I most be one of the few people who finds Type VERY attractive while I find Tharn just OK. Tharn reminds me of the typical J-drama leading man, hot in a cool kind of way. He is handsome but he is not that great looking IMO. Type on the other hand has that bad boy but wounded-puppy kind of look to him that I personally find irresistible.

Bottom line: I am going to keep watching this show for a couple more episodes but I hope they steer away from the childish jealousy stuff or I might stop watching. And on Tay Tawan hotness, I agree he is hot but not the take-your-shirt kind of hot.

BTW Who is a take-your-shirt kind of hot in Thai BL? I am going to say New and Ohm Pawat (based on googling images of them!). I do admit, I saw Ohm Pawat in He's Coming to Me and I found him incredibly sexy, smoking hot, and very likeable. He also has a nice body to boot.
