I love how our FL doesn't hold back and is very forthright. Love the argument between FL and the concubine at episode 9 (13:00 min)

I am so mad that the concubine was easily forgiven and she got on with her life as if nothing happened. What about the 17 years of lost life, torture and hardship that the FL went through?

In most of the dramas, the concubine kid is the one who always suffer. Lately the trend has been that the main wife born kids is the who is being bullied.

I love the start of episode 9 and the bully rightly deserved the punishment.

Good point. I wondered about that too. But in episode 8, she asked FL if she should kill the mom. That makes me think otherwise.

Exactly my thoughts. FL was abandoned in the name of keeping her alive. But she lived a life worst than death. The mom could have protected her in many other ways.

I have 2 suspects in mind on who could have switched Zhuang Yuchi 's exam paper. One being the FL's mom and the other ML. FL's mother has more probability as her dad was a prominent scholar and she might have come across the very old essay.

I was thinking it might not be possible. I think ShiYang is the real father of FL. When Shiyang confronted Yuwen outside of FL's mom quarter, he said it's been 20 years of enmity and our FL is just 17.

I am mad the concubine and her kids get more screen time than our leads.

The smirk ML gave when the scholars praised the FL at the banquet saying she is virtuous and gentle and model for all the women. Epic!

There are so many teary eyed moment. Very hard to hold back the tears.

It's the 17 years of pain, trauma, training and resilience.

I have an inkling the ML first wife was killed by her own father inadvertently. The poison was intended for the ML.

Tears were rolling down my eyes when the FL was beaten on the words of her mother. I thought she was helpless but loving the plot twist.

There were some intriguing sentences and dialogues that makes you ponder. Thanks for the great subtitle. This drama has mix of everything and off to a good start.

I watch historical dramas for a bit relaxation. But in this one, there are too many blood boiling moments and too many hateful people. Very hard for me to keep continuing with only one or two episodes per days and with a cliff hanger. .

Future episode trailer looks grim.

I thought I saw all the despicable characters already in this show. Oh my I was so wrong. Yu Qi mother is the most villainous and heartless person here. All she cares about is her image.
I pray Yu Qi becomes the Crown Prince and eventually becomes the emperor.
One consolation at least a wise emperor in this drama.

When the first half's were boring they released 2 episodes per day. Now the show pacing picked up it reduced to 1 episode per day. So frustrated.

Its getting more interesting now with episode 24!

I am also looking forward to Zhen love angle with the good princess. This is one of those story where the second ML deserves much more than the mains.
