Episode 14, the Du guy clenching his fist, what could that mean? Is he a spy already, or was he expecting more merit and followers for himself, but instead ML got it?

Lin Xiu Ru seems to be the second most observant person after our FL. She has already put two and two together and realized that something is amiss with the Du siblings. I have a feeling she overheard what Lin Xiu Wan and her maid discussed about the Xie guy description. She herself might have seen the Du guy during the banquet and assumed him to be Xie as well. With Du constantly glancing at the window, she was already a little suspicious.

Now, near the pond, when she learns from her little sister that he's the Du guy, she realizes something has gone wrong.

Oh my god, people had wild theories when she was looking at Lady Du during the banquet. I think she was just too timid. I am to blame as well. I thought she was in cahoots with Lady Du in their deception.

ML uncle’s timing sense sucks badly. What was he thinking when saying “A tall tree catches the wind, and great fame can bring a man to ruin”. No wonder his sister-in-law fainted.

I don’t see her in later parts of the trailer as well as when the evil Lady Duwas condemned in front the Lin family. They were showing people around Lin family including servants and Xiao Lin wasn't there. I have a bad feeling she is probably gone at this stage of the drama.

That's one thing I like about this drama. There are so many ways to interpret a situation and an event, and when they focus on material things, I wonder what that could mean. (Wild grass, FL air hugging the plum blossom, ML/his assistant pouring the tea as if paying tribute, and so on).

That's far from true. She was sent away to hasten the investigation. ML was already on Madam Zhao's tail. It was just a matter of time. Cheaters will always be caught eventually.

I understand what you are saying. But being killed off unjustly and thrown away is much worse than her current situation. She's smart; I am sure she's figured out her married life by now.

How much money was Zhao planning on saving before running away with er lover? She made a small wall around herself with all that silver. That must be a lot of money to set her for life. She wasn't looking for freedom then as she bemoaned, She was just too greedy.
