I'm coming back to this comment bec her and Cheng Yi AND Li Hong Yi are in an upcoming project called Gong Yu.…
Replying to my comment from 24 days ago to update that they changed the casting for Gong Yu: Cheng Yi and Li Hong Yi are removed on the page. Huhuhu *disappointed*
Yes go for it the ML and FL chemistry is top notch
I'm on ep 14 now and what is it with Bai Xiaosheng? He seems so mischievous with a sad past. Idk why he's hellbent on finding the perfect Taoist-spirit couple and now on this ep, he seems to give the FL the look of what a SML would give. What's his deal?
After watching Cdramas (xianxias/wuxias) like Till the End of the Moon and Love Between Fairy and Devil, I can only fall in love with the anti-hero especially if they're handsome. I can't help it. It would most certainly be wasted potential if they don't have a love line for him.... In this case, I volunteer as tribute!
First time seeing him in the ongoing drama Back from the Brink. He is so handsome! As a historical/xianxia/wuxia fanatic, I stick by my fav genre. I hope to see him in more dramas like those. His eyes and aura kind of reminds me of Deng Wei (specifically in Till The End of the Moon where he played Xiao Lin with long hair)
I saw my earlier comment from 22 days ago... it seems they changed the casting and removed Cheng Yi and Li Hong Yi. Now we have Chen Zhe Yuan. Oh my heart, they are all my ideal type it must be difficult to choose. I easily fall in love with every ML I see in a historical/xianxia/wuxia drama.
Kim Jae Wook and Lee Jae Wook kinda look similar and they have the same name. It would've been cool to see them play as siblings but this will also do! Since Lee Jae Wook (ML) plays the half-bro of Jae Yi (FL) it might be nice to see the anti-hero Kim Jae Wook get a redemption arc and they fall in love~~~ I need romance pls.
Although I've been a fan of historical xianxia/wuxia C-drama since 2019, I just realized a lot of them would have photos in their MDL gallery from 2 years ago which brings me to question: does it take that long for a production to air a show? I do know filming could take 4-6. months and the editing must be up to par given they would have some CGI for the fantasy elements and fight scenes. For example, this one has photos uploaded dating all the way back to Sept 2021 when it's already May 2023 at time of writing. Do they just film stuff and acquire licensing later? Why in K-Dramas like Alchemy of Souls when it aired S1 and S2 it didn't take a year for the wait? Also , is there some relation to China censorship laws in the media as seen in Till the End of the Moon which was filmed and set to air 50 eps only to be cut down to 40 due to the new regulations?
No man… CY doesn’t fit …. He’s a great actor, but this character is too young for Him… I really hope…
There's this thing called make up and hair styles that can make one appear young. For example, in The Eternal Love Seasons 1,2,3: Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie changed their hairdos to sport a more youthful look. Idk about u but I'll look forward to whatever Cheng Yi chooses to do in the future. He is a versatile actor with so much talents. I would actually love it if he took a more bubbly role instead of more serious ones like Immortal Samsara/Love & Redemption where he spits blood 90% of the time all in the name of righteousness.

I stayed up last night and I'm on ep 4 now! I love it so much ahhhhhh <3333. I don't want to binge it because it seems like shows like these require to be watched and admired/savored slowly. It's so aesthetically pleasing and the plot is plotting. No lazy writing so far! The chemistry is soooo good. She's such a strong FL. Each day, I might only watch 2-3 eps just so I don't have to wait bc I would get impatient and look for other filler dramas.
There are people in the world whose face you spend more time to look at, the more you admire how their features create a perfect visual. I first saw Go Ah Ra in Hwarang and her eyes are so sparkly and remarkable I think it deserves to have its own fanbase. She is so naturally beautiful and I could only dream to have even 0.1% of her visuals. My 2nd drama of hers was Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol but I was a bit underwhelmed at the plot. (I am an avid historical/time period genre fanatic so I hope to see her in one once again in the future) I look forward for more projects from her. HWAITING, EONNIE !
Her aura or perhaps face shape and the way she smiles kind of reminds me of Park Minyoung (S.Korean actress, "What's Wrong w/ Secretary Kim", "Her Private Life", "When the Weather is Fine" and ""Love Forecasting and Weather" ). Does anyone else see it?
I'm not resuming this until after I finish the term. I have finals to do and although I know of the sad ending, my separation anxiety and the imminent heartbreak must be done after I graduate this June. Bookmark: ep 33/40
